Moses assigned land to the half-tribe of Manasseh ¹  by its clans.

Of coral and jasper no mention will be made; the price ¹  of wisdom is more than pearls. ² 

Deliver your people! Empower ¹  the nation that belongs to you! ²  Care for them like a shepherd and carry them in your arms ³  at all times! ⁴ 

How blessed ¹  is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen to be his special possession. ² 

He picked out for us a special land ¹  to be a source of pride for ²  Jacob, ³  whom he loves. ⁴  (Selah)

So the Lord was angry with his people ¹  and despised the people who belong to him. ² 

I claim your rules as my permanent possession, for they give me joy. ¹ 

Now it happened just as the Lord had said! My cousin Hanamel ¹  came to me in the courtyard of the guardhouse. He said to me, ‘Buy my field which is at Anathoth in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin. Buy it for yourself since you are entitled as my closest relative to take possession of it for yourself.’ When this happened, I recognized that the Lord had indeed spoken to me.

But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me.

Judah replied, “What can we say ¹  to my lord? What can we speak? How can we clear ourselves? ²  God has exposed the sin of your servants! ³  We are now my lord’s slaves, we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

So you must consecrate the fiftieth year, ¹  and you must proclaim a release ²  in the land for all its inhabitants. That year will be your jubilee; ³  each one of you must return ⁴  to his property and each one of you must return to his clan.

“‘Surely anything which a man permanently dedicates to the Lord ¹  from all that belongs to him, whether from people, animals, or his landed property, must be neither sold nor redeemed; anything permanently dedicated is most holy to the Lord.

For I, the Lord, affirm ¹  that the time will come when I will reverse the plight ²  of my people, Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘I will bring them back to the land I gave their ancestors ³  and they will take possession of it once again.’” ⁴ 

Those who are left from the kingdom of Judah ¹  will take possession of it. ²  By the sea ³  they ⁴  will graze, in the houses of Ashkelon they will lie down in the evening, for the Lord their God will intervene for them ⁵  and restore their prosperity. ⁶ 

The Lord said ¹  to him, “I am the Lord ²  who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans ³  to give you this land to possess.”

“I am a temporary settler ¹  among you. Grant ²  me ownership ³  of a burial site among you so that I may ⁴  bury my dead.” ⁵ 

Bread made without yeast must be eaten ¹  for seven days; ²  no bread made with yeast shall be seen ³  among you, and you must have no yeast among you within any of your borders.

Everyone who had ¹  blue, purple, or ²  scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats’ hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather ³  brought them. ⁴ 

But if they do not cross over with you armed, they must receive possessions among you in Canaan.”

The two and a half tribes have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan, east of Jericho, ¹  toward the sunrise.”
