NAB, NRSV, TEV). The textual variant was caused by orthographic confusion of ס (samek) and כ (kaf), and metathesis of מ (mem) between the second and third consonants. The plural may indicate several concrete expressions of God’s kindnesses or may indicate the abstract concept of his kindness.
