Genesis 50:2-3

Context
50:2 Joseph instructed the physicians in his service¹ to embalm his father, so the physicians embalmed Israel. 50:3 They took forty days, for that is the full time needed for embalming.² The Egyptians mourned³ for him seventy days.⁴

Genesis 50:26

Context
50:26 So Joseph died at the age of 110.⁵ After they embalmed him, his body⁶ was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

⁴sn Seventy days. This probably refers to a time of national mourning.

range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
