Romans 8:28

[Rom 8:28] Begone Unbelief
Begone unbelief, my Savior is near,
And for my relief will surely appear:
By prayer let me wrestle, and He wilt perform,
With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm.Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
’Tis mine to obey, ’tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken, and creatures all fail,
The Word He has spoken shall surely prevail.His love in time past forbids me to think
He’ll leave me at last in trouble to sink;
Each sweet Ebenezer I have in review,
Confirms His good pleasure to help me quite through.Determined to save, He watched o’er my path,
When Satan’s blind slave, I sported with death;
And can He have taught me to trust in His Name,
And thus far have brought me, to put me to shame?Why should I complain of want or distress,
Temptation or pain? He told me no less:
The heirs of salvation, I know from His Word,
Through much tribulation must follow their Lord.How bitter that cup, no heart can conceive,
Which He drank quite up, that sinners might live!
His way was much rougher, and darker than mine;
Did Jesus thus suffer, and shall I repine?Since all that I meet shall work for my good,
The bitter is sweet, the medicine is food;
Though painful at present, wilt cease before long,
And then, O! how pleasant, the conqueror’s song!Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Rom 8:35] I Walk With Love Along The Way
I walk with Love along the way,
And O, it is a holy day;
No more I suffer cruel fear,
I feel God’s presence with me here;
The joy that none can take away
Is mine; I walk with Love today.Who walks with Love along the way,
Shall talk with Love and Love obey;
God’s healing truth is free to all,
Our Father answers every call;
’Tis He dispels the clouds of gray
That all may walk with Love today.Come, walk with Love along the way,
Let childlike trust be yours today;
Uplift your thought, with courage go,
Give of your heart’s rich overflow,
And peace shall crown your joy-filled day.
Come, walk with Love along the way.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:35] Love Of God, The
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.Refrain
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.Refrain
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.Refrain

[Rom 8:35] My Lord, How Full Of Sweet Content
My Lord, how full of sweet content;
I pass my years of banishment!
Where’er I dwell, I dwell with Thee,
In Heaven, in earth, or on the sea.To me remains nor place nor time;
My country is in every clime;
I can be calm and free from care
On any shore, since God is there.While place we seek, or place we shun
The soul finds happiness in none;
But with a God to guide our way,
’Tis equal joy, to go or stay.Could I be cast where Thou are not,
That were indeed a dreadful lot:
But regions none remote I call,
Secure of finding God in all.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:35] Shout And Sing
The love of God, whose sacred bond,
Nor life nor death can sever,
Thro’ grace divine has made us one,
In Christ the Lord forever.Refrain
Then shout and sing,
Though time may bring
Its clouds of care and sorrow;
The golden ray they veil today
Will brighter shine tomorrow.If one in Christ, what joy is ours,
Thro’ faith His smile beholding,
We dwell secure, our anchor sure,
His arm our souls enfolding.Refrain
Yes, one in Christ, and He in us,
The hope of endless glory,
We journey on while sweeter grows
Redemption’s grand old story.Refrain
To sinners now, we’ll gladly tell
His love so freely flowing,
And help them find the land of song
To which we now are going.Refrain

[Rom 8:35] Wide, Wide As The Ocean
Wide, wide as the ocean, high as the Heaven above;
Deep, deep as the deepest sea is my Savior’s love.
I, though so unworthy, still am a child of His care;
For His Word teaches me that His love reaches me everywhere.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:37] Cross Of Christ! Lead Onward
Cross of Christ! lead onward,
Through the holy war;
In this sign we conquer,
Now and evermore.
Not of man the power,
Not to man the fame;
We are victors only
In our Leader’s Name.Refrain
Cross of Christ! lead onward,
Through the holy war;
In this sign we conquer
Now and evermore.Not with pomp and pageant,
Not in earthly pride;
We must fight our battles
Like the Crucified.
Overcome by suff’ring,
Conquer through defeat;
Tried and tested daily
In the furnace heat.Refrain
Panoplied in graces,
Bold, yet humbly meek;
Resting while we’re working
Strong, but ever weak.
Timid, though courageous,
Gaining as we give;
Crucified with Jesus,
Yet, in Him, we live.Refrain
By a cloud encompassed,
Witnesses above;
Saints, apostles, prophets,
Precious ones we love;
While “advance” is sounding,
Mounts the battle thrill.
Cross of Christ! lead onward
Where the Captain will.Refrain
Marching in the pathway
That the Master trod,
Walks One daily with us
Like the Son of God.
To the end enduring,
Armor ne’er laid down
Till the cross leads upward
To the blood bought crown.Refrain

[Rom 8:37] More Than Conquerors
Through the cleansing blood of the dying Lamb,
Through the pow’r of grace and the precious Name,
Through the light that beams from the Morning Star,
More than conquerors, conquerors we are.Refrain
More than conquerors, more than conquerors,
Through the cleansing blood of the dying Lamb,
More than conquerors! more than conquerors,
Through the pow’r of grace and the precious Name.Who shall sever us from the Savior’s love,
Or shall blot our names from Life’s book above?
Neither present things, nor the things to come,
Shall defeat our souls of the heav’nly home.Refrain
More than conquerors! There our Captain stands,
While our names are graven upon His hands;
Though the pow’rs of darkness against us frown,
We shall win the fight, and shall wear the crown.Refrain

[Rom 8:38] Nothing Between
Nothing between my soul and my Savior,
Naught of this world’s delusive dream;
I have renounced all sinful pleasure;
Jesus is mine, there’s nothing between.Nothing between, like worldly pleasure;
Habits of life, though harmless they seem;
Must not my heart from Him ever sever;
He is my all, there’s nothing between.Nothing between, like pride or station;
Self or friends shall not intervene;
Though it may cost me much tribulation,
I am resolved, there’s nothing between.Nothing between, e’en many hard trials,
Though the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self denial,
I’ll triumph at last, there’s nothing between.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:38] O Love Of God, How Strong And True
O love of God, how strong and true!
Eternal, and yet ever new;
Uncomprehended and unbought,
Beyond all knowledge and all thought.O love of God, how deep and great!
Far deeper than man’s deepest hate;
Self fed, self kindled, like the light,
Changeless, eternal, infinite.O heavenly love, how precious still,
In days of weariness and ill,
In nights of pain and helplessness,
To heal, to comfort, and to bless!O wide embracing, wondrous love!
We read thee in the sky above,
We read thee in the earth below,
In seas that swell, and streams that flow.We read thee best in Him who came
To bear for us the cross of shame;
Sent by the Father from on high,
Our life to live, our death to die.We read thy power to bless and save,
E’en in the darkness of the grave;
Still more in resurrection light,
We read the fullness of thy might.O love of God, our shield and stay
Through all the perils of our way!
Eternal love, in thee we rest
Forever safe, forever blest.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:39] Far Out On The Desolate Billow
Far out on the desolate billow
The sailor sails the sea,
Alone with the night and the tempest,
Where countless dangers be;
Yet never alone is the Christian,
Who lives by faith and prayer;Refrain
For God is a Friend unfailing,
And God is everywhere.Far down in the earth’s dark bosom
The miner mines the ore;
Death lurks in the dark behind him,
And hides in the rock before.
Yet never alone is the Christian,
Who lives by faith and prayer;Refrain
Forth into the dreadful battle
The steadfast soldier goes;
No friend, when he lies adying,
His eyes to kiss and close.
Yet never alone is the Christian,
Who lives by faith and prayer;Refrain
Lord, grant as we sail life’s ocean,
Or delve in its mines of woe,
Or fight in its terrible conflict,
This comfort all to know,
That never alone is the Christian,
Who lives by faith and prayer;Refrain

[Rom 8:39] Lord, Guard And Guide The Men Who Fly
Lord, guide and guide the men who fly
Through the great spaces of the sky;
Be with them traversing the air
In darkening storms or sunshine fair.Thou who dost keep with tender might
The balanced birds in all their flight,
Thou of the tempered winds, be near,
That, having Thee, they know no fear.Control their minds with instinct fit
What time, adventuring, they quit
The firm security of land;
Grant steadfast eye and skillful hand.Aloft in solitudes of space,
Uphold them with Thy saving grace.
O God, protect the men who fly
Through lonely ways beneath the sky.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:39] Love Of The Father
Love of the Father, love of God the Son,
From Whom all came, in Whom was all begun;
Who formest heavenly beauty out of strife,
Creation’s whole desire and breath of life.Thou the all holy, Thou supreme in might,
Thou dost give peace, Thy presence maketh right;
Thou with Thy favor all things dost enfold,
With Thine all kindness free from harm wilt hold.Hope of all comfort, splendor of all aid,
That dost not fail nor leave the heart afraid;
To all that cry Thou dost all help accord,
The angels’ armor, and the saints’ reward.Purest and highest, wisest and most just,
There is no truth, save only in Thy trust;
Thou dost the mind from earthly dreams recall,
And bring through to Christ to Him for whom are all.Eternal glory, all men Thee adore,
Who art and shalt be worshipped evermore;
Us whom Thou madest, comfort with Thy might,
And lead us to enjoy Thy heavenly light.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:39] Neither Height, Nor Depth, Nor Breadth
The chords of love bind me above
To One who never changes;
Nor time, nor space can e’er efface,
His boundless love for me.Refrain
Neither height, nor depth, nor breadth, shall separate me
From the love of Him who shed His precious blood;
Neither height, nor depth, nor breadth, shall separate me
From the love of God.Refrain
The price He gave, my soul to save,
Upon the cross of anguish;
The shame and woe, O who can know,
How much He cared for me.Refrain
His love complete, with joys replete,
Supplies my every longing;
It brings no pain, no loss, but gain,
The love He gives to me.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:39] Savior Died, But Rose Again, The
The Savior died, but rose again
Triumphant from the grave;
And pleads our cause at God’s right hand,
Omnipotent to save.Who, then, can e’er divide us more
From Jesus and His love;
Or break the sacred chain that binds
The earth to Heav’n above?Let troubles rise, and terrors frown,
And days of darkness fall;
Through Him all dangers we’ll defy,
And more than conquer all.Nor death, nor life, nor earth nor hell,
Nor time’s destroying sway,
Can e’er efface us from His heart,
Or make His love decay.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rom 8:39] To Realms Beyond The Sounding Sea
To realms beyond the sounding sea,
Thy hand has led our sons afar;
Lord, give them grace to live for Thee;
Be still their Shield and Guiding Star.Bless with success their daily toils;
Strength for each hour’s demands impart;
With fruitful seasons, genial soils,
O give a grateful, trusting heart.Though exiled from the fatherland,
Its temple-homes of praise and prayer,
May they, on yonder distant strand,
A house for God with gladness rear.There make the places of Thy feet
Most glorious—there Thy grace display;
That myriads thence Thy smile may greet,
When heaven and earth have passed away.Play source: Cyberhymnal
