  “It must be settled tonight, Tomorrow may be too late”; The angel of death may come, And seal forever my fate. It must be settled to-night, I can no longer wait, Peace with my God I now must have, Tomorrow may be too late. A burden weighs my soul I can no longer bear; Unless removed this night, ’Twill sink me into despair. I cannot rest till peace Enfolds me from above, Till my Redeemer speaks to me Assurance of His love. My peace is made with God; My pardon’s found in Jesus’ Name, Thro’ faith in Jesus’ blood. Oh, now I know ’tis done!   Jesus, the calm that fills my breast, No other heart than Thine can give; This peace unstirred, this joy of rest, None but Thy loved ones can receive. My weary soul has found a charm That turns to blessedness my woe; Within the shelter of Thine arm, I rest secure from storm and foe. In desert wastes I feel no dread, Fearless I walk the trackless sea; I care not where my way is led, Since all my life is life with Thee. O Christ, through changeful years my Guide My Comforter in sorrow’s night, My Friend, when friendless—still abide, My Lord, my Counselor, my Light. My time, my powers, I give to Thee; My inmost soul ’tis Thine to move; I wait for Thy eternity, I wait, in peace, in praise, in love.

  O glorious hope of perfect love! It lifts me up to things above; It bears on eagles’ wings. It gives my ravished soul a taste, And makes me for some moments feast With Jesus’ priests and kings, With Jesus’ priests and kings. Rejoicing now in earnest hope, I stand, and from the mountain top See all the lands below. Rivers of milk and honey rise, And all the fruits of paradise In endless plenty grow, In endless plenty grow. A land of corn, and wine, and oil; Favored with God’s peculiar smile, With ev’ry blessing blest; There dwells the Lord our Righteousness, And keeps His own in perfect peace, And everlasting rest, And everlasting rest.   Thou grace divine, encircling all, A soundless, shoreless sea! Wherein at last our souls must fall O love of God most free! • [Rom 5:15] O Gift Of Gifts!

  O gift of gifts! O grace of faith! My God, how can it be That Thou, who hast discerning love Shouldst give that gift to me? How many hearts Thou mightst have had More innocent than mine, How many souls more worthy far Of that sweet touch of Thine! Ah, grace, unto unlikeliest hearts It is thy boast to come; The glory of thy light to find In darkest spots a home. How can they live, how will they die, How bear the cross of grief, Who have not yet the light of faith, The courage of belief? The crowd of cares, the weightiest cross, Seems trifles less than light: Earth looks so little and so low When faith shines full and bright. O happy, happy that I am! If thou canst be, O faith, The treasure that thou art in life, What will thou be in death?

  Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt! Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured, There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.   O what a wonderful Savior In Jesus, my Lord, I have found! Tho’ I had sins without number, His grace unto me did abound. Refrain His grace aboundeth more. His grace aboundeth more.
