  Being of beings, God of love; To Thee our hearts we raise; Thy all sustaining power we prove, And gladly sing Thy praise. Thine, wholly Thine, we pant to be; Our sacrifice receive; Made, and preserved, and saved by Thee, To Thee ourselves we give. Heav’nward our every wish aspires, For all Thy mercy’s store; The sole return Thy love requires, Is that we ask for more. For more we ask: we open then Our hearts to embrace Thy will; Turn and revive us, Lord, again, With all Thy fullness fill. Come, Holy Ghost, the Savior’s love Shed in our hearts abroad; So shall we ever live, and move, And be, with Christ, in God.

  Come, Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove, With all Thy quick’ning powers; Kindle a flame of sacred love In these cold hearts of ours. Look how we grovel here below, Fond of these trifling toys; Our souls can neither fly nor go To reach eternal joys. In vain we tune our formal songs, In vain we strive to rise; Hosannas languish on our tongues, And our devotion dies. Dear Lord! and shall we ever live At this poor dying rate? Our love so faint, so cold to Thee, And Thine to us so great! Come, Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove, With all Thy quick’ning powers; Come, shed abroad the Savior’s love And that shall kindle ours.

  I am so glad that our Father in Heav’n Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n; Wonderful things in the Bible I see, This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me. Refrain I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me. Though I forget Him, and wander away, Still He doth love me wherever I stray; Back to His dear loving arms I do flee, When I remember that Jesus loves me. Romans 8:27

• [Rom 8:27] O Thou, Who Hast At Thy Command

  O Thou, who hast at Thy command The hearts of all men in Thy hand, Our wayward, erring hearts incline To have no other will but Thine. Our wishes, our desires, control; Mold every purpose of the soul; O’er all may we victorious prove That stands between us and Thy love. Thrice blest will all our blessings be, When we can look through them to Thee; When each glad heart its tribute pays Of love and gratitude and praise. And while we to Thy glory live, May we to Thee all glory give, Until the final summons come, That calls Thy willing servants home.
