Romans 1:27
Context1:27 and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women 1 and were inflamed in their passions 2 for one another. Men 3 committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Romans 11:24
Context11:24 For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these natural branches be grafted back into their own olive tree?
1 tn Grk “likewise so also the males abandoning the natural function of the female.”
2 tn Grk “burned with intense desire” (L&N 25.16).
3 tn Grk “another, men committing…and receiving,” continuing the description of their deeds. Because of the length and complexity of the Greek sentence, a new sentence was started here in the translation.
