  When this passing world is done, When has sunk yon glaring sun, When we stand with Christ in glory, Looking o’er life’s finished story, Then, Lord, shall I fully know— Not till then—how much I owe. When I hear the wicked call, On the rocks and hills to fall, When I see them start and shrink On the fiery deluge brink, Then, Lord, shall I fully know— Not till then—how much I owe. When I stand before the throne, Dressed in beauty not my own, When I see Thee as Thou art, Love Thee with unsinning heart, Then Lord, shall I fully know— Not till then—how much I owe. When the praise of Heav’n I hear, Loud as thunders to the ear, Loud as many waters’ noise, Sweet as harp’s melodious voice, Then, Lord, shall I fully know— Not till then—how much I owe. Even on earth, as through a glass Darkly, let Thy glory pass, Make forgiveness feel so sweet, Make Thy Spirit’s help so meet, Even on earth, Lord, make me know Something of how much I owe. Chosen not for good in me, Wakened up from wrath to flee, Hidden in the Savior’s side, By the Spirit sanctified, Teach me, Lord, on earth to show, By my love, how much I owe. Oft I walk beneath the cloud, Dark, as midnight’s gloomy shroud; But, when fear is at the height, Jesus comes, and all is light; Blessed Jesus! bid me show Doubting saints how much I owe. When in flowery paths I tread, Oft by sin I’m captive led; Oft I fall—but still arise— The Spirit comes—the tempter flies; Blessed Spirit! bid me show Weary sinners all I owe. Oft the nights of sorrow reign— Weeping, sickness, sighing, pain; But a night Thine anger burns— Morning comes and joy returns; God of comforts! bid me show To Thy poor, how much I owe.

Romans 10:4

• [Rom 10:4] The Ancient Law Departs

  The ancient law departs, And all its terrors cease; For Jesus makes with faithful hearts A covenant of peace. The Light of Light divine, True brightness undefiled, He bears for us the shame of sin, A holy, spotless Child. His infant body now Begins our pains to feel; Those precious drops of blood that flow For death the victim seal. Today the Name is Thine, At which we bend the knee; They call Thee Jesus, Child divine! Our Jesus deign to be.

• [Rom 10:4] Free From The Law

  Free from the law, O happy condition, Jesus has bled and there is remission, Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall, Grace hath redeemed us once for all. Refrain Once for all, O sinner, receive it, Once for all, O brother, believe it; Cling to the cross, the burden will fall, Christ hath redeemed us once for all. Refrain Now we are free, there’s no condemnation, Jesus provides a perfect salvation. “Come unto Me,” O hear His sweet call, Come, and He saves us once for all. Romans 15:7

• [Rom 15:7] In Homes Where Pride And Splendor

  In homes where pride and splendor Their silken banners flare, In homes where childhood tender Is crushed by every care, Is heard the cry of anguish From many a helpless slave, Where Satan’s captives languish, And only Christ can save. What tho’ our flag in glory Floats over freedom’s land, While degradation’s story Is writ on every hand, While in the marts of labor, In lordly halls of state, The Christlike love of neighbor Is lost in greed and hate? Shall we, to whom is given For sin the only cure, Vouchsafed to earth by Heaven, While nations shall endure; Shall we, in this her trial, Forget our nation’s weal, Endure no self denial, Be wanting in our zeal? O God, whilst evil lowers In clouds of sin and shame, May these cold hearts of ours Burst into living flame, To light and lead our nation In this her time of need, Until in Christ’s salvation She shall be free indeed.
