Revelation 3:8
-
[Rev 3:8] Today Thy Mercy Calls Me
Today Thy mercy calls me to wash away my sin;
However great my trespass, whate’er I may have been;
However long from mercy I may have turned away,
Thy blood, O Christ, can cleanse me, and make me white today.Today Thy gate is open, and all who enter in
Shall find a Father’s welcome, and pardon for their sin;
The past shall be forgotten, a present joy be given;
A future grace be promised, a glorious crown in Heav’n.Today the Father calls me, the Holy Spirit waits,
The blessèd angels gather around the heav’nly gates;
No question will be asked me, how often I have come;
Although I oft have wandered, it is my Father’s home.O all embracing mercy, thou ever open door,
What shall I do without thee when heart and eyes run o’er?
When all things seem against me, to drive me to despair,
I know one gate is open, one ear will hear my prayer.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Rev 3:12] King Of The City Splendid
King of the City Splendid,
Eternal in the height,
May all our country’s cities
Grow holy in Thy sight;
Cleansed from the deeds of darkness—
Cities of light.Teach love to gladden children
That know not childhood’s mirth,
Wronged of their rights—no beauty
In their scant reach of earth;
To hope’s large sunshine give them
A second birth.Give joy to all the joyless,
Song’s voice to sorrows dumb,
May light invade with blessing
Each dark and deathly slum;
Into earth’s realms of horror
Thy Kingdom come!Soon may our country’s cities
Thy robe of glory wear;
Each place of toil a temple,
Each house a home of prayer;
Each city’s name of beauty—
The Lord is there!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 3:12] O What Their Joy And Their Glory Must Be
O what their joy and their glory must be,
Those endless Sabbaths the blessèd ones see;
Crown for the valiant, to weary ones, rest;
God shall be all, and in all ever blessed.What are the Monarch, His court, and His throne?
What are the peace and the joy that they own?
O that the blessed ones, who in it have share,
All that they feel could as fully declare!Truly, “Jerusalem” name we that shore,
City of peace that brings joy evermore;
Wish and fulfillment are not severed there,
Nor do things prayed for come short of the prayer.There, where no troubles distraction can bring,
We the sweet anthems of Zion shall sing;
While for Thy grace, Lord, their voices of praise
Thy blessèd people eternally raise.There dawns no Sabbath, no Sabbath is o’er,
Those Sabbath keepers have one evermore;
One and unending is that triumph song
Which to the angels and us shall belong.Now, in the meanwhile, with hearts raised on high,
We for that country must yearn and must sigh;
Seeking Jerusalem, dear native land,
Through our long exile on Babylon’s strand.Low before Him with our praises we fall,
Of Whom, and in Whom, and through Whom are all;
Of Whom, the Father; and in Whom, the Son,
Through Whom, the Spirit, with Them ever One.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Rev 20:12] Is It There?
Is my hope on the rifted Rock,
Cleft by the Lord for me?
Is my name in the book of life?
O that my faith could see!Refrain
Is it there, is it there,
Bright on the page so fair?
Is it there, is it there,
Safe in my Father’s care?Do I walk with a steadfast eye
Fixed on the heavenly land?
Is my name in the book of life
Graved by a Savior’s hand?Refrain
Can I say, with a trusting heart,
Jesus, Thy will, not mine?
Is my name in the book of life,
Sealed by His blood divine?Refrain
When in death I shall calmly sleep,
Jesus, to wake with Thee,
There my name in the book of life
Grant that my eye may see.Refrain

[Rev 20:12] My Record Will Be There
In a day that is not far,
At the blazing judgment bar,
Even now the awful summons I can hear;
I must meet the mighty God,
I must face His holy Word,
I must stand before the judgment bar.Refrain
Oh, my record will be there,
Be its pages dark or fair,
When I stand before the judgment bar.
When the books shall open be,
In that morning by and by,
Oh, my record, oh, my record will be there.I must meet each broken vow,
That I hold so lightly now,
Every heartache I have caused, each sigh, each tear;
Things that time cannot erase,
I must meet them face to face,
When I stand before the judgment bar.Refrain
Every secret lust and thought
There shall be to judgment brought,
When the Lord in all His glory shall appear;
All the deeds of darkest night
Shall come out to greet the light,
When I stand before the judgment bar.Refrain
I must meet my cankered gold,
For whose greed my life was sold,
It shall mock me in the judgment’s lurid glare;
Saying we have sold for naught,
All the Savior’s blood has bought,
You must stand before the judgment bar.Refrain
Let me turn and seek the Lord,
Let me trust His holy Word,
Let me bow and call upon Him while He’s near;
Then when I my record face,
He will answer in my place
When I stand before the judgment bar.Refrain

[Rev 20:12] That Great, Tremendous Day’s Approaching
That great, tremendous day’s approaching,
That awful scene is drawing nigh,
Which was foretold by ancient prophets,
Decreed from all eternity.
Prepare my soul, reflect and wonder,
That awful scene in drawing near,
When you shall see the great transaction,
When Christ in judgment shall appear.See nature standing in amazement,
To hear the last loud trumpet sound;
Arise, ye dead, and come to judgment,
Ye nations of this world around:
The orbèd lamps all veiled in sackcloth,
No more their shining circuit run,
The wheel of time now stopped forever,
Eternal things are now begun.Green graveyards, and the tombs of marble,
Give up their dead, both small and great;
And the whole world, both saint and sinner,
Are coming to the judgment seat;
See Jesus on the throne of justice,
In clouds descending from the sky,
With countless hosts of shining angels,
With hallelujahs shout for joy.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 20:12] Time, By Moments, Steals Away
Time, by moments, steals away,
First the hour, and then the day;
Small the daily loss appears,
Yet it soon amounts to years:
Thus another year is flown,
Now it is no more our own
(If it brought or promised good)
Than the years before the flood.But (may none of us forget)
It has left us much in debt;
Favors from the Lord received,
Sins that have His Spirit grieved;
Marked by an unerring hand
In His book recorded stand;
Who can tell the vast amount,
Placed to each of our account?Happy, the believing soul!
Christ for you has paid the whole;
While you own the debt is large,
You may plead a full discharge:
But poor careless sinner, say,
What can you to justice pay?
Tremble, lest when life is past,
Into prison you be cast!Will you still increase the score?
Still be careless, as before?
O, forbid it, gracious Lord,
Touch their spirits by Thy Word!
Now, in mercy, to them show
What a mighty debt they owe!
All their unbelief subdue,
Let them find forgiveness too.Spared to see another year,
Let Thy blessing meet us here;
Come, Thy dying work revive,
Bid Thy drooping garden thrive:
Sun of righteousness arise!
Warm our hearts, and bless our eyes;
Let our prayer Thy bowels move,
Make this year a time of love!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 20:12] When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.Refrain
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.Refrain
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.Refrain

[Rev 20:12] World Is Very Evil, The
The world is very evil, the times are waxing late,
Be sober and keep vigil, the Judge is at the gate.
The Judge Who comes in mercy, the Judge Who comes in might,
Who comes to end the evil, who comes to crown the right.Arise, arise, good Christian, let right to wrong succeed;
Let penitential sorrow to heavenly gladness lead,
To light that has no evening, that knows nor moon nor sun,
The light so new and golden, the light that is but one.O home of fadeless splendor, of flowers that bear no thorn,
Where they shall dwell as children who here as exiles mourn;
’Midst power that knows no limits, where wisdom has no bound,
The beatific vision shall glad the saints around.The peace that is for Heaven, and shall be too for earth,
The palace that re-echoes with festal song and mirth;
The garden breathing spices, the paradise on high;
Grace beautified to glory, unceasing minstrelsy.O happy, holy portion, reflection for the blest,
True vision of true beauty, true cure of the distressed!
Strive, man, to win that glory; toil, man, to gain that light;
Send hope before to grasp it, till hope be lost in sight.O sweet and blessèd country, the home of God’s elect!
O sweet and blessèd country, that eager hearts expect!
Jesu, in mercy bring us to that dear land of rest;
Who art with God the Father and Spirit, ever blest.Play source: Cyberhymnal
