Revelation 3:11

[Rev 3:11] He Cometh!
Jesus is coming! go, herald the tidings
Far over the land and the sea;
Jesus is coming to gather the ransomed,
Redeemed by His death on the tree.
Angels attending, the heavens descending—
All language our joy will transcend,
When we shall see Him, the King in His beauty,
Our Bridegroom, Redeemer, and Friend.Refrain
Jesus is coming, our Savior and Lover divine;
Soon in His glory the ransomed of ages will shine;
Ages on ages we’ll reign with our King on His throne;
Wonderful story! We’ll share in His glory,
Redeemed by His mercy divine.Lift up your heads and rejoice, O ye righteous,
Your perfect redemption is nigh;
Swiftly the darkness of midnight approaches,
“He cometh” shall sound from the sky.
Long has the battle been waged against evil
By suffering saints here below.
Jesus is coming to banish our sorrow,
And lead us where tears never flow.Refrain
Come, dear Lord Jesus, Thy promise fulfilling;
“Come quickly!” our souls cry to Thee:
Long has the world been enthralled by the tempter,
The curse is on land and on sea.
Yet Thou shalt triumph, the nations subduing,
The truth of the Word cannot fail;
God’s wondrous glory, like ocean’s deep billows,
To earth’s farthest bounds shall prevail.Refrain

[Rev 3:11] He Cometh, Father, As He Came Of Old
He cometh, Father, as He came of old
’Neath earthly veil concealed from mortal sight,
Though now we hear no angel harps of gold,
Nor see the glory of the heavenly light:
Look Thou in love, as on that wondrous birth
On this, His goodwill gift of peace to earth.Thou comest, Lord, and as in Bethlehem’s stall
Our gifts and greetings here we offer Thee.
Here spread a veil, then low adoring fall,
Where as in Mary’s arms by faith we see
God’s highest glory, graciously enshrined
In this Thy gift of peace to all mankind.He cometh! Spirit blest, Thy truth impart,
Brooding in love upon the bread and wine,
Make them, we pray, make very faithful heart,
Like Mary’s, meet to hold the Guest divine,
God’s highest glory veiled from mortal ken
In this, His promised gift of peace to men.He cometh, Father, here to seek His own,
Thy Word made flesh—He deigns ’mid us to dwell
Thou comest, Lord, from Thine eternal throne
By Thy sweet Spirit’s power, Emmanuel,
And round Thy feet, we hymn Thy glory still
With angel songs of peace and great good-will.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 3:11] Let Someone Else
“Let someone else!” you often say,
When asked to serve the Lord;
And “someone else,” when life is o’er,
Will reap a rich reward.
Oh, someone else is doing the work
That you for God should do;
And someone else will be wearing the crown
That God had meant for you.“Let someone else speak forth the word
To save a soul from sin”;
That “someone else,” when Jesus comes,
A crown of life will win.
Oh, someone else is doing the work
That you for God should do;
And someone else will be wearing the crown
That God had meant for you.“Let someone else go forth,” you say,
To lands beyond the seas;
While you remain at home and take
Your comfort and your ease.
Oh, someone else is doing the work
That you for God should do;
And someone else will be wearing the crown
That God had meant for you.Oh, never let your lips again
Those thoughtless words repeat;
But pray that grace to you be giv’n
To serve at Jesus’ feet.
Then no one else will do the work
That you for God should do;
And no one else will be wearing the crown
That God has kept for you.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 3:11] Onward, Upward
Onward! upward! Christian soldier,
Turn not back nor sheath thy sword,
Let its blade be sharp for conquest,
In the battle for the Lord.
From the great white throne eternal,
God Himself is looking down;
He it is Who now commands thee,
Take the cross and win the crown.
He it is Who now commands thee,
Take the cross and win the crown.Onward! upward! doing, daring,
All for Him Who died for thee;
Face the foe and meet with boldness
Danger whatsoe’er it be.
From the battlements of glory,
Holy ones are looking down,
Thou canst almost hear them shouting:
“On! let no one take thy crown.”
Thou canst almost hear them shouting:
“On! let no one take thy crown.”Onward! till thy course is finished,
Like the ransomed ones before;
Keep the faith thro’ persecution,
Never give the battle o’er.
Onward! upward! till victorious,
Thou shalt lay thy armor down,
And thy loving Savior bids thee
At His hand receive thy crown.
And thy loving Savior bids thee
At His hand receive thy crown.Play source: Cyberhymnal

Beyond the smiling and the weeping,
I shall be soon;

Beyond the sowing and the reaping,
I shall be soon.Refrain
Love, rest, and home!
Sweet, sweet hope!

Beyond remembering and forgetting,
I shall be soon.Refrain

[Rev 22:20] Come, O Lord, Like Morning Sunlight
Come, O Lord, like morning sunlight,
Making all life new and free;
For the daily task and challenge
May we rise renewed in Thee.Come, O Lord, like ocean flood-tides,
Flowing inland from the sea;
As the waters fill the shallows,
May our souls be filled with Thee.Come, O Lord, like mountain breezes,
Freshening life in vale and lea;
In the heat and stress of duty
May our souls find strength in Thee.Come, O Lord, like evening twilight,
Bringing peace on land and sea;
At the radiant close of labor
May our souls find rest in Thee.source: Cyberhymnal -

This temple, reared to Thee,
O may it ever be

Till time shall end!Be in each song of praise,
Which here Thy people raise
With hearts aflame!
Let every anthem rise
Like incense to the skies,
A joyful sacrifice
To Thy blest Name!Speak, O eternal Lord,
Out of Thy living Word,
O give success!
Do Thou the truth impart
Unto each waiting heart;
Source of all strength Thou art,
Thy Gospel bless!To the great One in Three

Glad hearts to Thee we bring,
Till we our God and King

[Rev 22:20] Come, Savior, Jesus, From Above
Come, Savior, Jesus, from above!
Assist me with Thy heavenly grace;
Empty my heart of earthly love,
And for Thyself prepare the place.O let Thy sacred presence fill,
And set my longing spirit free!
Which pants to have no other will,
But day and night to feast on Thee.While in this region here below,
No other good will I pursue:
I’ll bid this world of noise and show,
With all its glittering snares, adieu!That path with humble speed I’ll seek,
In which my Savior’s footsteps shine,
Nor will I hear, nor will I speak,
Of any other love but Thine.Henceforth may no profane delight
Divide this consecrated soul;
Possess it, Thou Who hast the right,
As Lord and Master of the whole.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

[Rev 22:20] O Quickly Come, Dread Judge Of All
O quickly come, dread Judge of all,
For, awful though Thine advent be;
All shadows from the truth will fall,
And falsehood die, in sight of Thee.
O quickly come, for doubt and fear
Like clouds dissolve when Thou art near.O quickly come, great King of all;
Reign all around us, and within;
Let sin no more our souls enthrall,
let pain and sorrow die with sin.
O quickly come, for Thou alone
Canst make Thy scattered people one.O quickly come, true Life of all;
For death is mighty all around;
On every home his shadows fall,
On every heart his mark is found.
O quickly come, for grief and pain
Can never cloud Thy glorious reign.O quickly come, sure Light of all
For gloomy night broods o’er our way;
And weakly souls begin to fall
With weary watching for the day.
O quickly come, for round Thy throne
No eye is blind, no night is known.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 22:20] On What Has Now Been Sown
On what has now been sown
Thy blessing, Lord, bestow;
The power is Thine alone
To make it spring and grow.
Do Thou in grace the harvest raise,
And Thou alone shalt have the praise.To Thee our wants are known,
From Thee are all our powers;
Accept what is Thine own
And pardon what is ours.
Our praises, Lord, and prayers receive
And to Thy Word a blessing give.Oh, grant that each of us
Now met before Thee here
May meet together thus
When Thou and Thine appear
And follow Thee to Heav’n, our home.
E’en so, Amen, Lord Jesus, come!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 22:20] Thou Art Coming, O My Savior
Thou art coming, O my Savior,
Thou art coming, O my King,
In Thy beauty all resplendent,
In Thy glory all transcendent;
Well may we rejoice and sing:
Coming! in the opening east
Herald brightness slowly swells;
Coming! O my glorious Priest,
Hear we not Thy golden bells?Thou art coming, Thou art coming;
We shall meet Thee on Thy way,
We shall see Thee, we shall know Thee,
We shall bless Thee, we shall show Thee
All our hearts could ever say:
What an anthem that will be,
Ringing out our love to Thee,
Pouring out our rapture sweet
At Thine own all glorious feet.Thou art coming; at Thy table
We are witnesses for this;
While remembering hearts Thou meetest
In communion clearest, sweetest,
Earnest of our coming bliss,
Showing not Thy death alone,
And Thy love exceeding great;
But Thy coming and Thy throne,
All for which we long and wait.Thou art coming, we are waiting
With a hope that cannot fail,
Asking not the day or hour,
Resting on Thy Word of power,
Anchored safe within the veil.
Time appointed may be long,
But the vision must be sure;
Certainty shall make us strong,
Joyful patience can endure.O the joy to see Thee reigning,
Thee, my own belovèd Lord!
Every tongue Thy Name confessing,
Worship, honor, glory, blessing
Brought to Thee with glad accord;
Thee, my Master and my Friend,
Vindicated and enthroned;
Unto earth’s remotest end
Glorified, adored, and owned!source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 22:20] With Glorious Clouds Encompassed Round
With glorious clouds encompassed round,
Whom angels dimly see,
Will the Unsearchable be found,
Or God appear to me?Will He forsake His throne above,
Himself to men impart?
Answer, Thou Man of grief and love,
And speak it to my heart.Didst Thou not in our flesh appear,
And live and die below,
That I may now perceive Thee near,
And my Redeemer know?Come, then, and to my soul reveal
The heights and depths of grace,
Those wounds which all my sorrows heal,
Which all my sins efface.Then shall I see in His own light,
Whom angels dimly see:
And gaze, transported at the sight,
To all eternity.source: Cyberhymnal
