[Rev 2:10] Be Firm And Be Faithful
Be firm and be faithful; desert not the right;
The brave become bolder the darker the night.
Then up and be doing, though cowards may fail;
Thy duty pursuing, dare all and prevail.If scorn be thy portion, if hatred and loss,
If stripes or a prison, remember the cross.
God watches above thee, and He will requite;

Fear not, O little flock, the foe
Who madly seeks your overthrow;
Dread not his rage and power;
What though your courage sometimes faints,
His seeming triumph o’er God’s saints

To Him who can avenge your wrongs;

Though hidden yet from all our eyes,
He sees the Gideon who shall rise;

God is with us, we are His own,

We know our Redeemer will answer our call;

Let our choir new anthems raise, wake the morn with gladness;
God Himself to joy and praise turns the martyrs’ sadness:
Bright the day that won their crown, opened heav’ns bright portal,
As they laid the mortal down and put on th’immortal.Never flinched they from the flame, from the torture never;
Vain the foeman’s sharpest aim, Satan’s best endeavor:
For by faith they saw the land decked in all its glory,
