Revelation 2:2
-
[Rev 2:2] Help Us To Labor On
Help us to labor on,
Savior, for Thee;
Faithful in word and deed,
O may we be.Refrain
Till all our work is done,
Our crown of glory won,
Help us, Lord, to labor on,
Trusting in Thee.Help us to labor on,
Cheered from above;
Sowing the word of life,
Telling Thy love.Refrain
Help us to labor on,
Lord, not in vain;
O may we gather in,
Bright, golden grain.Refrain

[Rev 2:2] Unclouded Day, The
O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies,
O they tell me of a home far away;
O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise,
O they tell me of an unclouded day.Refrain
O the land of cloudless day,
O the land of an unclouded day,
O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise,
O they tell me of an unclouded day.O they tell me of a home where my friends have gone,
O they tell me of that land far away,
Where the tree of life in eternal bloom
Sheds its fragrance through the unclouded day.Refrain
O they tell me of a King in His beauty there,
And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold
Where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow,
In the city that is made of gold.Refrain
O they tell me that He smiles on His children there,
And His smile drives their sorrows all away;
And they tell me that no tears ever come again
In that lovely land of unclouded day.Refrain

Revelation 2:10
-
[Rev 2:10] Be Firm And Be Faithful
Be firm and be faithful; desert not the right;
The brave become bolder the darker the night.
Then up and be doing, though cowards may fail;
Thy duty pursuing, dare all and prevail.If scorn be thy portion, if hatred and loss,
If stripes or a prison, remember the cross.
God watches above thee, and He will requite;
Forsake those that love thee, but never the right.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] Fear Not, O Little Flock
Fear not, O little flock, the foe
Who madly seeks your overthrow;
Dread not his rage and power;
What though your courage sometimes faints,
His seeming triumph o’er God’s saints
Lasts but a little hour.Be of good cheer; your cause belongs
To Him who can avenge your wrongs;
Leave it to Him our Lord.
Though hidden yet from all our eyes,
He sees the Gideon who shall rise;
To save us, and His word.As true as God’s own word is true,
Not earth nor hell with all their crew
Against us shall prevail.
A jest and by-word are they grown;
God is with us, we are His own,
Our victory cannot fail.Amen, Lord Jesus, grant our prayer!
Great Captain, now Thine arm make bare;
Fight for us once again1
So shall thy saints and martyrs raise
A mighty chorus to Thy praise,
World without end.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] From The Cross To The Crown
Be strong and courageous whate’er may befall,
We know our Redeemer will answer our call;
Tho’ sorrow and trials are weighing us down,
Yet hope looks away from the cross to the crown.Refrain
From the cross to the crown let us follow our Lord,
From the cross to the crown let us cling to His Word;
Tho’ sorrow and trials are weighing us down,
Yet faith leads us on from the cross to the crown!His cup of affliction was filled to the brim,
And are we not willing to suffer for Him?
The robe of His glory for us He laid down,
To show us the path from the cross to the crown.Refrain
This life is a conflict, a battle with sin,
Yet trusting in Jesus thro’ grace we shall win;
The world may oppose us, the tempter may frown,
Yet faith leadeth on from the cross to the crown.Refrain
Tho’ friends that are dearest have gone from our sight,
’Tis only to enter the mansions of light;
Their warfare is over, their burdens laid down,
How short was their path from the cross to the crown!Refrain

[Rev 2:10] I Will Trade The Old Cross For A Crown
I shall not bear the cross thro’ yon city
When the burdens of life are laid down.
When I knock on the portals of Heaven
I will trade the old cross for a crown.Refrain
Yes, I’ll trade the old cross for a crown,
When the burdens of life are laid down.
When the pearl gates for me shall swing open,
I will trade the old cross for a crown.Tho’ the cross oftentimes has been heavy,
And oft fortune on me seems to frown,
But how happy I’ll be over yonder
When I trade the old cross for a crown.Refrain
Oft, my bark has been tossed on life’s billows,
And each wave tries my vessel to drown.
But no storm cloud can harm me forever
When I trade the old cross for a crown.Refrain
Ev’ry cross that I bear for my Savior
Will at last, when He calls, be laid down,
And my sorrows will all be forgotten
When I trade the old cross for a crown.Refrain

[Rev 2:10] Laurels, Fresh Laurels
Laurels, fresh laurels, for the Sunday School we bring;
They will bloom in fadeless verdure
Through a calm eternal spring;
Then gladly hail with a pure delight,
Oh, hail our beautiful wreath so bright;
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” for the Sunday School, for the Sunday School,
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” for the Sunday School we bring.Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” for the Sunday School to wear;
All may win the precious garland,
All the flaming crown may wear;
The smile of hope and the dew of prayer,
Has made this beautiful wreath so fair.
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” for the Sunday School, for the Sunday School,
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” for the Sunday School to wear.Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” then awake the song anew.
They will make you good and gentle,
You will love and praise them, too;
Oh, meet in heaven the heart so true,
That twined the beautiful wreath for you.
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” then awake the song, then awake the song.
Laurels, “Fresh Laurels,” then awake the song so new.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] Let Our Choir New Anthems Raise
Let our choir new anthems raise, wake the morn with gladness;
God Himself to joy and praise turns the martyrs’ sadness:
Bright the day that won their crown, opened heav’ns bright portal,
As they laid the mortal down and put on th’immortal.Never flinched they from the flame, from the torture never;
Vain the foeman’s sharpest aim, Satan’s best endeavor:
For by faith they saw the land decked in all its glory,
Where triumphant now they stand with the victor’s story.Faith they had that knew not shame, love that could not languish;
And eternal hope o’ercame momentary anguish.
Up and follow, Christian men! Press through toil and sorrow;
Spurn the night of fear, and then, O the glorious morrow!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] O Brother, Be Faithful
O brother, be faithful! Soon Jesus will come,
For whom we have waited so long;
O, soon we shall enter our glorious home,
And join in the conqueror’s song.
O brother, be faithful! For why should we prove
Unfaithful to Him who hath shown
Such deep, such unbounded and infinite love—
Who died to redeem us His own.O brother, be faithful! The city of gold,
Prepared for the good and the blest,
Is waiting its portals of pearl to unfold,
And welcome thee into thy rest.
Then, brother, prove faithful! Not long shall we stay
In weariness here, and forlorn,
Time’s dark night of sorrow is wearing away,
We haste to the glorious morn.O brother, be faithful! He soon will descend,
Creation’s omnipotent King,
While legions of angels His chariot attend,
And palm wreaths of victory bring.
O brother, be faithful! and soon shalt thou hear
Thy Savior pronounce the glad word,
“Well done, faithful servant; thy title is clear
To enter the joy of thy Lord.”O brother, be faithful! Eternity’s years
Shall tell for thy faithfulness now,
When bright smiles of gladness shall scatter thy tears,
A coronet gleam on thy brow.
O brother, be faithful! The promise is sure,
That waits for the faithful and tried;
To reign with the ransomed, immortal and pure,
And ever with Jesus abide.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] Thou Who Thyself Didst Sanctify
Thou Who Thyself didst sanctify,
And set Thyself apart,
Thy servant’s purpose ratify,
The purpose of his heart.In reverence he himself would yield
To be Thy soldier true,
And in high places of the field
Thy glorious work to do.Captain Divine, his name enroll;
In token let him feel
The fire from Heav’n within his soul,
The ever burning zeal!Give him his armor, all of light;
And with unfaltering breath,
Lord, make him Thy great battle fight,
And faithful be, to death!He that o’ercometh, Lord, with Thee
The morning star shall own,
The robe and palm of victory
And the immortal crown.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Rev 2:10] Wear A Crown
Bugle calls are ringing out,
?Forward? is the battle shout,
See where floats the conqu’ring sign,
Onward to the war divine!Refrain
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown,
We shall wear a crown, we shall wear a crown!
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown
In the new Jerusalem!
Wear a crown, wear a crown, away over Jordan!
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown
In the new Jerusalem!Sound the charge against the foe,
Lay the hosts of error low;
In His Name, victorious King,
Let the song of triumph ring!Refrain
Fight the fight of faith and love,
Looking unto Him above;
Loyal soldiers, do and dare,
Your Commander’s joy to share.Refrain

[Rev 2:10] When The Saints Are Marching In
Thro’ the shining gate,
Where the angels wait,
When the saints are marching in,
The redeemed shall come,
And be crowned at home,
When the saints are marching in.Refrain
When the saints are marching in,
When the saints are marching in,
Joyful songs of salvation thro’ the sky shall ring,
When the saints are marching in.Parted friends shall meet,
On the golden street,
When the saints are marching in,
Spotless robes shall wear,
Victor’s palms shall bear,
When the saints are marching in.Refrain
Ev’ry tongue and race
Shall extol God’s grace,
When the saints are marching in,
And the blood-washed throng
Shall repeat the song,
When the saints are marching in.Refrain
“To the Lamb once slain,
But Who lives again,”
When the saints are marching in,
We shall offer praise
Thro’ eternal days,
When the saints are marching in.Refrain

[Rev 2:10] Ye Servants Of Our Glorious King
Ye servants of our glorious King,
To Him your thankful praises bring;
And tell the deeds that grace has done,
The triumphs by His martyrs won.Since they were faithful to the last,
Their holy struggles now are past;
The bitterness of death is o’er,
And theirs is bliss forevermore.The flame might scorch, the knife lay bare,
And cruel beasts their members tear;
No powers of earth, no powers of hell
The souls that loved their Lord could quell.Forever broken is the chain
That sought to bind them, but in vain;
O let us strive like them to win
Our freedom from the bonds of sin.O Savior, may our portion be
With those who gave themselves to Thee,
Through all eternity to sing
All praise to Thee, the martyrs’ King.Play source: Cyberhymnal
