• [Psa 73:24] Jesus, Thou Art Mine Forever

  Jesus, Thou art mine forever, Dearer far than earth to me; Neither life nor death shall sever Those sweet ties which bind to Thee. All were drear to me and lonely If Thy presence gladdened not; While I sing to Thee, Thee only, Mine’s an ever blissful lot. Thou alone art all my Treasure, Who hast died that I may live; Thou conferrest noblest pleasure, Who dost all my sins forgive. Brightest gems and fairest flowers Lose their beauty in Thy frown; Joy and peace, like balmy showers, In Thy smile come gently down. Jesus, Thou art mine forever; Never suffer me to stray. Let me in my weakness never Cast my priceless pearl away. Lamb of God, I do implore Thee, Guard, support me, lest I fall. Let me evermore adore Thee; Be my everlasting All.

  In sin I once had wandered, All weary, sad, and lone, Till Jesus through His mercy Adopted me His own. E’er since I learned to trust Him, His grace doth make me free, And now I feel His pardon, He’s everything to me. Refrain He’s everything to me, From sin He sets me free, His peace and love my portion Through all eternity! He’s everything to me, More than I dreamed could be. O praise His Name forever!   Jesus, Master, whose I am, Purchased Thine alone to be, By Thy blood, O spotless Lamb, Shed so willingly for me, Let my heart be all Thine own, Let me live for Thee alone. Other lords have long held sway; Now Thy Name alone to bear, Thy dear voice alone obey, Is my daily, hourly prayer; Whom have I in heaven but Thee? Nothing else my joy can be. Jesus, Master, whom I serve, Though so feebly and so ill, Strengthen hand and heart and nerve All Thy bidding to fulfill; Open Thou mine eyes to see All the work Thou hast for me. Lord, Thou needest not, I know, Service such as I can bring, Yet I long to prove and show Full allegiance to my King. Jesus, let me always be In Thy service glad and free.   Lord of earth, Thy forming hand, Well this beauteous frame hath planned, Woods that wave, and hills that tower, Ocean rolling in his power; Yet amidst this scene so fair, Should I cease thy smile to share, What were all its joys to me? Whom have I on earth but Thee? Lord of Heaven, beyond our sight Shines a world of purer light; There in love’s unclouded reign, Severed friends shall meet again: O that world is passing fair! Yet, if Thou wert absent there, What were all its joys to me? Whom have I in Heaven but Thee? Lord of earth and Heaven, my breast Seeks in Thee its only rest; I was lost; Thy accents mild Homeward lured Thy wandering child: O if once Thy smile divine Ceased upon my soul to shine, What were earth or Heaven to me? Whom have in each but Thee?

  None other Lamb, none other Name, None other hope in Heav’n or earth or sea, None other hiding place from guilt and shame, None beside Thee! My faith burns low, my hope burns low; Only my heart’s desire cries out in me By the deep thunder of its want and woe, Cries out to Thee. Lord, Thou art Life, though I be dead; Love’s fire Thou art, however cold I be: Nor Heav’n have I, nor place to lay my head, Nor home, but Thee.

  Eternity is drawing near, O unconverted soul. Dost thou not fear the troubled waves That o’er thee soon may roll?   Only in Thee, O Savior mine, Dwelleth my soul in peace divine, Peace that the world, though all combine, Never can take from me. Pleasures of earth, so seemingly sweet, Fail at the last my longings to meet; Only in Thee my bliss is complete, Only, dear Lord, in Thee! Only in Thee a radiance bright, Shines like a beacon in the night, Guiding my pilgrim bark aright, Over life’s trackless sea. Only in Thee, when troubles molest, When with temptation I am oppressed, There is a sweet pavilion of rest, Only, dear Lord, in Thee!   To whom can I go but to Jesus When tempted to doubt and despair? He only can heal my diseases, He only will answer my prayer. Refrain To whom can I go?
