Psalms 129:7

Context

129:7 which cannot fill the reaper’s hand,

1 tn Heb “[be] blessed.”

2 tn Or “glory.”

3 tn Heb “surely and surely” (אָמֵן וְאָמֵן [’amen vÿamen], i.e., “Amen and amen”). This is probably a congregational response of agreement to the immediately preceding statement about the propriety of praising God.

4 tn Heb “and caused them to drink, like the depths, abundantly.”

5 tn Heb “for greatly we are filled [with] humiliation.”

6 tn Heb “greatly our soul is full to it.”
