Psalms 14:1
-
[Psa 14:1] Fools In Their Heart Believe And Say
Fools in their heart believe and say,
“That all religion’s vain;
There is no God that reigns on high,
Or minds th’affairs of men.”From thoughts so dreadful and profane,
Corrupt discourse proceeds;
And in their impious hands are found
Abominable deeds.The Lord from His celestial throne
Looked down on things below,
To find the man that sought His grace,
Or did His justice know.By nature all are gone astray,
Their practice all the same;
There’s none that fears his Maker’s hand;
There’s none that loves His Name.Their tongues are used to speak deceit,
Their slanders never cease;
How swift to mischief are their feet,
Nor know the paths of peace!Such seeds of sin—that bitter root—
In every heart are found;
Nor can they bear diviner fruit
Till grace refine the ground.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 14:1] God Who Sits Enthroned On High, The
The God Who sits enthroned on high
The foolish to their heart deny;
Not one does good; corrupt in thought,
Unrighteous works their hands have wrought.From heaven the Lord with searching eye
Looked down the sons of men to try,
To see if any understood
And sought for God, the only Good.From righteousness they all depart,
Corrupt are all, and vile in heart;
Yea, every man has evil done;
Not one does good, not even one.Has knowledge with the wicked failed,
That they My people have assailed,
That they delight in works of shame,
And call not on Jehovah’s Name?Thy lowly servant they despise,
Because he on the Lord relies;
But they shall tremble yet in fear,
For to the righteous God is near.O that from Zion, His abode,
Salvation were on us bestowed!
When God His exiles shall restore,
They shall in song His grace adore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 14:1] Lord Of All Worlds
Lord of all worlds, let thanks and praise
To Thee forever fill my soul;
With blessings Thou hast crowned my days,
My heart, my head, my hand control.
O, let no vain presumptions rise,
No impious murmur in my heart,
To crave the boon Thy will denies,
Or shrink from ill Thy hands impart.Thy child am I, and not an hour,
Revolving in the orbs above,
But brings some token of Thy power,
But brings some token of Thy love;
And shall this bosom dare repine,
In darkness dare deny the dawn,
Or spurn the treasures of the mine,
Because one diamond is withdrawn?The fool denies, the fool alone,
Thy being, Lord, and boundless might;
Denies the firmament, Thy throne,
Denies the sun’s meridian light;
Denies the fashion of his frame,
The voice he hears, the breath he draws;
O idiot atheist! to proclaim
Effects unnumbered without cause!Matter and mind, mysterious one,
Are man’s for threescore years and ten;
Where, ere the thread of life was spun?
Where, when reduced to dust again?
All seeing God, the doubt suppress;
The doubt Thou only canst relieve;
My soul Thy Savior Son shall bless,
Fly to Thy Gospel, and believe.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 25:2
-
[Psa 25:2] Trusting Jesus (2)
Dear Lord, take up our tangled strands,
Where we have wrought in vain,
That by the skill of Thy dear hands
Some beauty may remain.Refrain
Transformed by grace divine,
The glory shall be Thine;
To Thy most holy will, O Lord,
We now our all resign.Touch Thou the sad, discordant keys
Of every troubled breast,
And change to peaceful harmonies
The sighings of unrest.Refrain
Where broken vows in fragments lie—
The toil of wasted years—
Do Thou make whole again, we cry,
And give a song for tears.Refrain
Take all the failures, each mistake
Of our poor human ways,
Then, Savior, for Thine own dear sake,
Make them show forth Thy praise.Refrain

Psalms 36:1
-
[Psa 36:1] Trespass Of The Wicked Man, The
The trespass of the wicked man
Most plainly testifies
That fear of God’s most holy Name
Is not before his eyes.He cherishes the empty hope,
Although his sin be great,
It never shall be brought to light
And viewed with righteous hate.The words he utters with his mouth
Are wickedness and lies;
He keeps himself from doing good,
And ceases to be wise.While on his bed his thought he gives
To planning wickedness;
He sets himself in evil ways,
He shuns not to transgress.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 36:1] While Men Grow Bold In Wicked Ways
While men grow bold in wicked ways,
And yet a God they own,
My heart within me often says,
“Their thoughts believe there’s none.”Their thoughts and ways at once declare,
Whate’er their lips profess,
God hath no wrath for them to fear,
Nor will they seek His grace.What strange self-flattery blinds their eyes!
But there’s a hastening hour,
When they shall see with sore surprise
The terrors of Thy power.Thy justice shall maintain its throne,
Though mountains melt away;
Thy judgments are a world unknown,
A deep, unfathomed sea.Above the heav’ns’ created rounds,
Thy mercies, Lord, extend;
Thy truth outlives the narrow bounds
Where time and nature end.Safety to man Thy goodness brings,
Nor overlooks the beast;
Beneath the shadow of Thy wings
Thy children choose to rest.From Thee, when creature-streams run low.
And mortal comforts die,
Perpetual springs of life shall flow,
And raise our pleasures high.Though all created light decay,
And death close up our eyes,
Thy presence makes eternal day,
Where clouds can never rise.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 43:1-2
-
[Psa 43:1] Judge Me, God Of My Salvation
Judge me, God of my salvation,
Plead my cause, for Thee I trust;
Hear my earnest supplication,
Save me from my foes unjust;
O my soul, why art thou grieving?
What disquiets and dismays?
Hope in God; His help receiving,
I shall yet my Savior praise.For my Strength, my God, Thou art:
Why am I cast off by Thee
In the sorrow of my heart,
While the foe oppresses me?
Light and truth, my way attending,
Send Thou forth to be my guide,
Till Thy holy mount ascending,
I within Thy house abide.At Thy sacred altar bending,
God, my God, my boundless joy,
Harp and voice, in worship blending,
For Thy praise will I employ.
O my soul, why art thou grieving?
What disquiets and dismays?
Hope in God; His help receiving,
I shall yet my Savior praise.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 43:1] Judge Me, O God, And Plead My Cause
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause
Against a sinful race;
From vile oppression and deceit
Secure me by Thy grace.
From vile oppression and deceit
Secure me by Thy grace.On Thee my steadfast hope depends,
And am I left to mourn?
To sink in sorrows and in vain
Implore Thy kind return?
To sink in sorrows and in vain
Implore Thy kind return?O send Thy light to guide my feet
And bid Thy truth appear;
Conduct me to Thy holy hill
And taste Thy mercies there.
Conduct me to Thy holy hill
And taste Thy mercies there.Then to Thy altar, oh my God,
My joyful feet shall rise,
And my triumphant songs shall praise
The God that rules the skies.
And my triumphant songs shall praise
The God that rules the skies.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 44:1
-
[Psa 44:1] O God, We Have Heard
O God, we have heard, and our fathers have told
What wonders Thou didst in the great days of old;
The nations were crushed and expelled by Thy hand,
Cast out that Thy people might dwell in their land.They gained not the land by the edge of the sword,
Their own arm to them could no safety afford,
But Thy right hand saved, and the light of Thy face,
Because of Thy favor and wonderful grace.Command, and Thy word shall deliverance bring,
O God, to Thy chosen, for Thou art our King;
Through Thee we will surely defeat all our foes,
Through Thy Name will triumph o’er those that oppose.No trust will I place in my strength to defend.
Nor yet on my sword as a safeguard depend;
In Thee, who hast saved us and put them to shame,
We boast all the day, ever praising Thy Name.Thou, Lord, hast forsaken, to shame brought our boasts;
No more to the field dost Thou go with our hosts;
Thou turnest us back from the foe in dismay,
And spoilers who hate us have made us their prey.Like sheep to the slaughter Thy people are given,
Dispersed through the nations, afar we are driven;
Thou sellest Thy people to strangers for naught,
Their price to Thy treasure no increase has brought.Thou makest our neighbors reproach us in pride,
And those that are near us to scoff and deride;
A byword the nations have made of our name,
With scorn and derision they put us to shame.Yea, all the day long I behold my disgrace,
And covered am I with confusion of face;
The voice of blasphemers and scoffers I hear,
The foe and avenger against me appear.All this have we suffered, and never forgot
To serve Thee, Jehovah, nor falsely have wrought;
Our heart is not turned, and our steps have not strayed,
Though crushed amid ruins and under death’s shade.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 44:1] O Lord, Our Fathers Oft Have Told
O Lord, our fathers oft have told,
In our attentive ears,
Thy wonders in their days performed,
And in more ancient years.’Twas not their courage, or their sword,
To them salvation gave;
’Twas not their number or their strength
That did their country save.But Thy right hand, Thy powerful arm,
Whose succor they implored—
Thy providence protected them,
Who Thy great Name adored.As Thee their God our fathers owned
So Thou art still our King;
O therefore as Thou didst to them,
To us deliverance bring.To Thee the glory we ascribe,
From Whom salvation came;
In God, our Shield, we will rejoice,
And ever bless Thy Name.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 44:1] Our Nation, God, Its Heart To Thee Upraiseth
Our nation, God, its heart to Thee upraiseth,
O Lord, the nation bows before Thy face:
With high thanksgiving, Thee Thy glad church praiseth,
Our strength Thy Spir’t, our trust and hope Thy grace.Unto great honor, glory undeservèd,
Hast Thou exalted us, and drawn Thee nigh:
Nor, from Thy judgments, when our feet had swervèd,
Didst Thou forsake, nor leave us, Lord most high.In Thee our fathers trusted, and were savèd,
In Thee destroyèd thrones of tyrants proud:
From ancient bondage freed the poor enslavèd;
To sow Thy truth poured out their saintly blood.Us now, we pray, O God, in anger scorn not,
Nor to vainglorying leave, nor brutish sense
In time of trouble Thy face from us turn not,
Who art our Rock, our stately sure defense.Unto our minds give freedom and uprightness;
Let strengthened courage lead o’er land and wave,
To our souls’ armor grant celestial brightness,
Joy to our hearts, and faith beyond the grave.Our plenteous nation still in power extending,
Increase our joy, uphold us by Thy Word:
Beauty and wisdom all our ways attending,
Good will to man and peace through Christ our Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 44:1] Praise To Our God, Whose Bounteous Hand
Praise to our God, whose bounteous hand
Prepared of old our glorious land;
A garden fenced with silver sea;
A people prosperous, strong, and free.Praise to our God; through all our past
His mighty arm hath held us fast;
Till wars and perils, toils and tears,
Have brought the rich and peaceful years.Praise to our God; the vine He set
Within our coasts is fruitful yet;
On many a shore her offshoots grow;
’Neath many a sun her clusters glow.Praise to our God; His power alone
Can keep unmoved our ancient throne,
Sustained by counsels wise and just,
And guarded by a people’s trust.Praise to our God; Who still forbears
Who still this sinful nation spares,
Who calls us still to seek His face,
And lengthens out our day of grace.Praise to our God; through chastenings stern
Our evil dross should thoroughly burn,
His rod and staff, from age to age,
Shall rule and guide His heritage!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 45:2
-
[Psa 45:2] My Heart Is Full Of Christ
My heart is full of Christ, and longs
Its glorious matter to declare!
Of Him I make my loftier song,
I cannot from His praise forbear;
My ready tongue makes haste to sing
The glories of my heavenly King.Fairer than all the earth-born race,
Perfect in comeliness Thou art;
Replenished are Thy lips with grace,
And full of love Thy tender heart:
God ever blest! we bow the knee,
And own all fullness dwells in Thee.Gird on Thy thigh the Spirit’s sword,
And take to Thee Thy power divine;
Stir up Thy strength, almighty Lord,
All power and majesty are Thine:
Assert Thy worship and renown;
O all redeeming God, come down!Come, and maintain Thy righteous cause,
And let Thy glorious toil succeed;
Dispread the victory of Thy cross,
Ride on, and prosper in Thy deed;
Through earth triumphantly ride on,
And reign in every heart alone.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 46:1
-
[Psa 46:1] God Is A Stronghold And A Tower
God is a Stronghold and a Tower,
A Help that never faileth,
A covering Shield, a Sword of power,
When Satan’s host assaileth.
In vain our crafty foe
Still strives to work us woe,
Still lurks and lies in wait
With more than earthly hate;
We will not faint, nor tremble.Frail sinners are we: naught remains
For hope or consolation,
Save in His strength Whom God ordains
Our Captain of salvation.
Yes, Jesus Christ alone
The Lord of hosts we own,
God ere the world began,
The Word-made-flesh for man,
Still conquering, and to conquer.Though fiercely strive the hosts of ill
Within us, and around us,
With fiendish strength, and fiendish skill,
Yet ne’er may they confound us.
Man’s night of dark despair,
When storm clouds fill the air,
In God’s triumphal hour,
The noonday of His power,
One word, and He prevaileth.Our Father’s truth abideth sure;
Christ, our Redeemer, liveth;
For us He pleads His offering pure,
To us His Spirit giveth.
Though dear ones pass away,
Though strength and life decay,
Yet loss shall be our gain,
For God doth still remain
Our All-in-all forever.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:1] God Is Our Refuge And Defense
God is our Refuge and Defense;
In trouble our unfailing Aid;
Secure in His omnipotence,
What foe can make our souls afraid?Yea, though the earth’s foundations rock,
And mountains down the gulf be hurled,
His people smile amid the shock:
They look beyond this transient world.There is a river pure and bright,
Whose streams make glad the heavenly plains;
Where, in eternity of light,
The city of our God remains.Built by the Word of His command,
With His unclouded presence blest,
Firm as His throne the bulwarks stand,
There is our home, our hope, our rest.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:1] God Is Our Refuge And Our Strength
God is our Refuge and our Strength,
Our ever present Aid,
And, therefore, though the earth remove,
We will not be afraid;
Though hills amidst the sea be cast,
Though foaming waters roar,
Yes, though the mighty billows shake
The mountains on the shore.A river flows whose streams make glad
The city of our God,
The holy place wherein the Lord
Most High has His abode;
Since God is in the midst of her,
Unmoved her walls shall stand,
For God will be her early help,
When trouble is at hand.The nations raged, the kingdoms moved,
But when His voice was heard
The troubled earth was stilled to peace
Before His mighty Word.
The Lord of Hosts is on our side,
Our safety is secure;
The God of Jacob is for us
A refuge strong and sure.O come, behold what wondrous works
Jehovah’s hand has wrought;
Come, see what desolation great
He on the earth has brought.
To utmost ends of all the earth
He causes war to cease;
The weapons of the strong destroyed,
He makes abiding peace.Be still and know that I am God,
O’er all exalted high;
The subject nations of the earth
My Name shall magnify.
The Lord of Hosts is on our side,
Our safety is secure;
The God of Jacob is for us
A refuge strong and sure.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:1] God Is The Refuge Of His Saints
God is the refuge of His saints,
When storms of sharp distress invade;
Ere we can offer our complaints,
Behold Him present with His aid.Let mountains from their seats be hurled
Down to the deep, and buried there;
Convulsions shake the solid world:
Our faith shall never yield to fear.Loud may the troubled ocean roar;
In sacred peace our souls abide;
While every nation, every shore,
Trembles, and dreads the swelling tide.There is a stream, whose gentle flow
Supplies the city of our God,
Life, love, and joy, still guiding through,
And wat’ring our divine abode.That sacred stream—Thy holy Word—
That all our raging fear controls;
Sweet peace Thy promises afford,
And give new strength to fainting souls.Zion enjoys her Monarch’s love,
Secure against a threatening hour;
Nor can her firm foundations move,
Built on His truth, and armed with power.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:1] Mighty Fortress Is Our God, A
A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.A mighty fortress is our God, a trusty shield and weapon;
He helps us free from every need that hath us now overtaken.
The old evil foe now means deadly woe; deep guile and great might
Are his dread arms in fight; on Earth is not his equal.With might of ours can naught be done, soon were our loss effected;
But for us fights the Valiant One, whom God Himself elected.
Ask ye, who is this? Jesus Christ it is.
Of Sabbath Lord, and there’s none other God;
He holds the field forever.Though devils all the world should fill, all eager to devour us.
We tremble not, we fear no ill, they shall not overpower us.
This world’s prince may still scowl fierce as he will,
He can harm us none, he’s judged; the deed is done;
One little word can fell him.The Word they still shall let remain nor any thanks have for it;
He’s by our side upon the plain with His good gifts and Spirit.
And take they our life, goods, fame, child and wife,
Let these all be gone, they yet have nothing won;
The Kingdom ours remaineth.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:1] Mourn For The Thousands Slain
Mourn for the thousands slain,
The youthful and the strong;
Mourn for the wine cup’s fearful reign,
And the deluded throng.Mourn for the ruined soul—
Eternal life and light,
Lost by the fiery, maddening bowl,
And turned to hopeless night.Mourn for the lost; but call,
Call to the strong, the free;
Rouse them to shun that dreadful fall,
And to the refuge flee.Mourn for the lost; but pray,
Pray to our God above,
To break the fell destroyer’s sway,
And show His saving love.Play source: Cyberhymnal

The goodly promised land.With shouts ascends our King,

Terrible in majesty;
He His sovereign sway maintains,
King o’er all the earth He reigns.Jesus is gone up on high,

Hark! the sounds of singing
Coming on the breeze,
Notes of triumph winging
Over lands and seas.
Martial hosts assemble,
Flushed with victory,
Hell’s battalions tremble
And prepare to flee.Refrain
Army of salvation!
Army of the Lord!
Christ our Inspiration
Christ our great Reward.Whence have come these legions,
Valiant, free and strong?
Worldwide are the regions
Where they combat wrong.
Gathering ’neath our banner
While the trumpets blend,
Here in fervent manner
Let our praise ascend.Refrain
Plucked as brands from burning,
Saved by Jesus’ might,
Earth’s allurement spurning,
We for Christ will fight.
He Who found and freed us
From our captive chain,
Surely He will lead us
To eternal gain.Refrain

Unto Jesus glory
’Tis in Him we boast.
Out of every nation,
By His might restored,
Army of salvation,
Army of the Lord.Refrain

To God the sov’reign King!

His heav’nly guards around
Attend Him rising through the sky,
With trumpets’ joyful sound.While angels shout and praise their King,
Let mortals learn their strains;
Let all the earth His honors sing;
O’er all the earth He reigns.Rehearse His praise with awe profound,
Let knowledge lead the song,
Nor mock Him with a solemn sound
Upon a thoughtless tongue.In Isr’el stood His ancient throne,
He lov’d that chosen race;

[Psa 47:1] Shout Of Mighty Triumph, A
A shout of mighty triumph
Through nature’s realm is heard,
A shout which calls creation
To hail th’Incarnate Word.
Away with clouds and darkness!
All hail, thrice blessèd morn;
Sing out with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!Is this, ye holy shepherds,
The mighty newborn King?
This Child, so sweet and gentle,
Can He such rapture bring?
O yes! He comes, the Savior
Of sinful earth forlorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!The cruel, cruel foeman
This Child shall overthrow;
Full soon, the fierce destroyer,
His Lord’s stern might shall know:
Of all his boasted power
Soon to be roughly shorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!But say, sweet virgin mother,
The Child upon thy breast,
Will He receive young children,
And share with them His rest?
O yes! He will with glory
Both old and young adorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!Rejoice then, youths and maidens,
Old men and children, too;
Lift up your cheerful voices,
With bliss and rapture true!
Ring out, ye towers and steeples!
Blow, trumpet, pipe and horn!
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 50:16
-
[Psa 50:16] Thus Speaks The Lord To Wicked Men
Thus speaks the Lord to wicked men:
My statutes why do you declare?
Why take My covenant in your mouth,
Since ye for wisdom do not care?
For ye My holy words profane
And cast them from you in disdain.Ye have consented with the thief,
Ye have partaken with the vile,
Your mouths to evil words ye give,
Your tongues proclaim deceit and guile,
Ye glory in your brother’s shame,
Your mother’s son do you defame.Thus have ye done; I silence kept,
And this has been your secret thought,
That I was wholly as yourselves,
To take your evil deeds as naught;
I will reprove you and array
Your deeds before your eyes this day.Consider this, who God forget
Lest I destroy with none to free;
Who offers sacrifice of thanks,
He glorifies and honors Me;
To him who orders well his way
Salvation free I will display.source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 53:6] O That The Lord’s Salvation
O that the Lord’s salvation
Were out of Zion come,
To heal His ancient nation,
To lead His outcasts home!How long the holy city
Shall heathen feet profane?
Return, O Lord, in pity;
Rebuild her walls again.Let fall Thy rod of terror;
Thy saving grace impart;
Roll back the veil of error;
Release the fettered heart.Let Israel, home returning,
Their lost Messiah see;
Give oil of joy for mourning,
And bind Thy church to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 55:1
-
[Psa 55:1] Jehovah, To My Prayer Give Ear
Jehovah, to my prayer give ear,
Nor hide Thee from my cry;
Attend my sad complaint, and hear
My restless moan and sigh.
My enemies lift up their voice,
The violent oppress;
To do me wrong my foes rejoice,
And love my soul’s distress.Sore pained in heart I find no ease,
Death’s terrors fill my soul,
Great fear and trembling on me seize,
And horrors o’er me roll.
O had I wings, I sigh and say,
Like some swift dove to roam,
Then I would hasten far away
And a find a peaceful home.Lo, wandering far, my rest would be
In some lone desert waste;
I from the stormy wind would flee,
And to a shelter haste.
O Lord, their malice recompense
Their wicked tongues confound,
For in the city violence
And bitter strife abound.They walk her walls both night and day,
Within all vices meet;
Oppression, fraud and crime hold sway,
Nor leave the crowded street.
No foreign foe provokes alarm,
But enemies within;
May God destroy their power to harm
And recompense their sin.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 55:1] O God, Give Thou Ear To My Plea
O God, give Thou ear to my plea,
And hide not Thyself from my cry;
O hearken and answer Thou me,
As restless and weary I sigh.O that I had wings like a dove,
For then I would fly far away
And seek for the rest that I love,
Where trouble no more could dismay.Nay, soul, call on God all the day;
The Lord for thy help will appear;
At eve, morn, and noon humbly pray,
And He thy petition will hear.Thy burden now cast on the Lord,
And He shall thy weakness sustain;
The righteous who trust in His Word
Unmoved shall forever remain.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 55:23] Jesus, I Will Trust Thee
Jesus, I will trust Thee, trust Thee with my soul;
Guilty, lost, and helpless, Thou canst make me whole.
There is none in Heaven or on earth like Thee:
Thou hast died for sinners—therefore Lord for me.Refrain
In Thy love confiding I will seek Thy face,

Guilty, lost and helpless, Thou canst make me whole.Jesus, I can trust Thee, trust Thy written Word,
Since Thy voice of mercy I have often heard,
When Thy Spirit teacheth, to my taste how sweet—
Only may I hearken, sitting at Thy feet.Refrain
Jesus, I do trust Thee, trust Thee without doubt;
“Whosoever cometh, Thou wilt not cast out,”
Faithful is Thy promise, precious is Thy blood—
These my soul’s salvation, Thou my Savior God!Refrain

[Psa 55:23] Lord Jesus, Thou Dost Keep Thy Child
Lord Jesus, Thou dost keep Thy child
Through sunshine or through tempests wild;
Jesus, I trust in Thee:
Thine is such wondrous pow’r to save;
Thine is the mighty love that gave
Its all on Calvary.O glorious Savior, Thee I praise;
To Thee my new glad song I raise,
And tell of what Thou art.
Thy grace is boundless in its store;
Thy face of love shines evermore,
Thou givest me Thy heart.Upon Thy promises I stand,
Trusting in Thee: Thine own right hand
Doth keep and comfort me;
My soul doth triumph in Thy Word;
Thine, Thine be all the praise, dear Lord,
As Thine the victory.Love perfecteth what it begins;
Thy power doth save me from my sins;
Thy grace upholdeth me.
This life of trust, how glad, how sweet;
My need and Thy great fullness meet,
And I have all in Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 56:13
-
[Psa 56:13] For This New Year
For this New Year we humbly ask Your grace;
Help us to always see Your loving face
Shining upon us, bringing peace within,
Keeping our feet from paths of mortal sin.Dear Lord, we ask that we would always be
Open to You, and that all men may see
In how we treat them that we’ve made a pact.
To let Your love shine through our ev’ry act.Within our fam’lies may we know Your peace;
As we share moments let our love increase.
Teach us to share with those we truly love
As we would do so in that home above.Now for Your church, Lord, we would give You thanks,
All kinds of people making up her ranks;
Help her be true in all she longs to do
That ev’ry act shall praise and honor You.For this Your world, dear Lord, we beg You now
Beat ev’ry sword blade into humble plow;
We seek that peace that we can help to bring
When we acknowledge You as Lord and King.For me, O Lord, this too I simply ask;
Help me to not shirk my appointed task,
Teach me to trust, Lord, walking day by day,
In simple faith that You show me Your way.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 61:1
-
[Psa 61:1] Holy Father, Hear My Cry
Holy Father, hear my cry;
Holy Savior, bend Thine ear;
Holy Spirit, come Thou nigh;
Father, Savior, Spirit, hear.Father, save me from my sin;
Savior, I Thy mercy crave;
Gracious Spirit, make me clean:
Father, Savior, Spirit, save.Father, let me taste Thy love;
Savior, fill my soul with peace;
Spirit, come my heart to move:
Father, Son, and Spirit, bless.Father, Son, and Spirit—Thou
One Jehovah, shed abroad
All Thy grace within me now;
Be my Father and my God.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 61:1] O God, Regard My Humble Plea
O God, regard my humble plea;
I cannot be so far from Thee
But Thou wilt hear my cry;
When I by trouble am distressed,
Then lead me on the Rock to rest
That higher is than I.In Thee my soul has shelter found,
And Thou hast been from foes around
The Tower to which I flee.
Within Thy house will I abide;
My Refuge sure, whate’er betide,
Thy sheltering wings shall be.For Thou, my God, my vows hast heard,
On me the heritage conferred
Of those that fear Thy Name;
A blest anointing Thou dost give,
And Thou wilt make me ever live
Thy praises to proclaim.Before Thy face shall I abide;
O God, Thy truth and grace provide
To guard me in the way;
So I will make Thy praises known,
And, humbly bending at Thy throne,
My vows will daily pay.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 61:5
-
[Psa 61:5] Blessed Master, I Have Promised
Blessèd Master, I have promised,
Hear my solemn vow;
Take this pledge of mine and seal it
Here and now.Strength of mine is only weakness,
Thine is strength indeed;
Strengthen me in fullest measure
As I need.Let no worldly cares nor pleasures
Call my heart away;
Save me, Lord, and keep me faithful
Day by day.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 62:1
-
[Psa 62:1] God Of Grace, O Let Thy Light
God of grace, O let Thy light
Bless our dim and blinded sight;
Like the day-spring on the night,
Bid Thy grace to shine.To the nations led astray
Thine eternal love display:
Let Thy truth direct their way
Till the world be Thine.Praise to Thee, the faithful Lord;
Let all tongues in glad accord
Learn the good thanksgiving word,
Ever praising Thee.Let them moved to gladness sing,
Owning Thee their Judge and King;
Righteous truth shall bloom and spring
Where Thy rule shall be.Praise to Thee, all faithful Lord;
Let all tongues in glad accord
Speak the good thanksgiving word,
Heart rejoicing praise.So the fruitful earth’s increase,
Bounty of the God of peace,
Never in its course shall cease
Through the length of days;While His grace our life shall cheer,
Furthest lands shall own His fear,
Brought to Him in worship near,
Taught His mercy’s ways.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 62:1] My Soul In Silence Waits For God
My soul in silence waits for God,
My Savior He has proved;
He only is my Rock and Tower;
I never shall be moved.My honor is secure with God,
My Savior He is known;
My Refuge and my Rock of strength
Are found in God alone.My enemies my ruin seek,
They plot with fraud and guile;
Deceitful, they pretend to bless,
But inwardly revile.My soul in silence waits for God,
He is my help approved;
He only only is my Rock and Tower,
And I shall not be moved.On Him, ye people, evermore
Rely with confidence;
Before Him pour ye out your heart,
For God is our defense.For surely men are helpers vain,
The high and the abased;
Yea, lighter than a breath are they
When in the balance placed.Trust not in harsh oppression’s power
Nor in unrighteous gain;
If wealth increase, yet on your gold
Ye set your hearts in vain.For God has spoken o’er and o’er,
And unto me has shown,
That saving power and lasting strength
Belong to Him alone.Yea, lovingkindness evermore
Belongs to Thee, O Lord;
And Thou according to his work
Dost every man reward.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 62:1] My Soul With Expectation
My soul with expectation doth
Depend on God indeed;
My strength and my salvation do
From Him alone proceed.He only my Salvation is,
And my strong Rock is He;
He only is my sure Defense;
I shall not movèd be.In God my glory placèd is,
And my salvation sure;
In God the Rock is of my strength;
My Refuge most secure.Ye people, place your confidence
In Him continually;
Before Him pour ye out your heart;
God is our Refuge high.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 62:8
-
[Psa 62:8] Trust The Eternal
Trust the Eternal, when the shadows gather,
When joys of daylight seem so like a dream;
God the unchanging, pities like a father:
Trust on and wait, the daystar yet shall gleam.Trust the Eternal, for the clouds that vanish
No more can move the mountains from their base
Than sin’s illusive wreaths of mist can banish
Light from His throne or loving from His Face.Trust the Eternal, repent in meekness
Of that heart’s pride which frowns and will not yield,
Then to thy child-heart shall come strength in weakness,
And thine immortal life shall be revealed.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 64:1
-
[Psa 64:1] Hear, Lord, The Voice Of My Complaint
Hear, Lord, the voice of my complaint,
Preserve my life from fear;
Hide me from plotting enemies
And evil, crowding near.
The workers of iniquity,
Their deadly shafts prepare;
They aim at me their treacherous words;
O save me from their snare.The wicked in their base designs
Grow arrogant and bold;
Conspiring secretly, they think
That God will not behold;
They search out more iniquity,
Their thoughts and plans are deep,
But God will smite, for He is near
His saints to guard and keep.The wicked, by their sins o’ercome,
Shall soon be brought to shame;
The hand of God shall yet appear,
And all shall fear His Name.
The just shall triumph in the Lord,
Their trust shall be secure,
And endless glory then shall crown
The upright and the pure.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 64:1] Unmoved By Fear, My Praise Is Due
Unmoved by fear, my praise is due
To Thee, Thou gracious God of saints;
Thy mercies great, Thy counsel true,
My prayers are heard and my complaints;
My prayers are heard and my complaints.Compassed by love, my heart’s best thought
I raise in gratitude to Thee;
Nor wait to thank Thee; all untaught,
Thy love’s best gift hath taught it me;
Thy love’s best gift hath taught it me.I fear but that I may not gain
A place beside my noblest Friend;
I love, but ah, the sweet refrain,
“On Thee, my Savior, I depend;
On Thee, my Savior, I depend.”Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 65:1

[Psa 65:1] Before Thee, Lord, A People Waits
Before Thee, Lord, a people waits
To praise Thy Name in Zion’s gates,
To Thee shall vows be paid;
Thou Hearer of the suppliant’s prayer,
To Thee in need shall all repair
To seek Thy gracious aid.How great my trespasses appear;
But Thou from guilt my soul will clear,
And my transgressions hide.
How blest Thy chosen, who by grace
Are brought within Thy dwelling place
That they may there abide.The goodness of Thy house, O Lord,
The joys Thy holy courts afford,
Our souls shall satisfy;
By deeds of might, in justice wrought,
The Lord will grant us what we sought,
Our Savior, God Most High.On Thy sustaining arm depend,
To earth and sea’s remotest end,
All men in every age;
Thy strength establishes the hills,
Thy word the roaring billows stills,
And calms the peoples’ rage.The tribes of earth’s remotest lands
Behold the tokens of Thy hands
And bow in godly fear;
The east, where beams the morning light,
The west, in evening glories bright,
Rejoice, for Thou art near.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 65:1] For Thee, O God, Our Constant Praise
For Thee, O God, our constant praise
In Zion waits, Thy chosen seat;
Our promised altars we will raise,
And there our zealous vows complete.O Thou, who to my humble prayer
Didst always bend Thy listening ear,
To Thee shall all mankind repair,
And at Thy gracious throne appear.Our sins, though numberless, in vain,
To stop Thy flowing mercy try;
Whilst Thou o’erlook’st the guilty stain,
And washest out the crimson dye.Blest is the man, who, near Thee placed,
Within Thy sacred dwelling lies!
While we, at humbler distance, taste
The vast delights Thy temple gives.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 65:1] Praise For Thee, Lord, In Zion Waits
Praise for Thee, Lord, in Zion waits;
Prayer shall besiege Thy temple gates;
All flesh shall to Thy throne repair,
And find through Christ salvation there.Our spirits faint; our sins prevail;
Leave not our trembling hearts to fail:
O Thou that hearest prayer, descend,
And still be found the sinner’s friend.How blest Thy saints! how safely led!
How surely kept! how richly fed!
Savior of all in earth and sea,
How happy they who rest in Thee.Thy hand sets fast the mighty hills,
Thy voice the troubled ocean stills;
Evening and morning hymn Thy praise,
And earthy Thou bounty wide displays.The year is with Thy goodness crowned;
Thy clouds drop wealth the world around;
Through Thee the deserts laugh and sing,
And nature smiles and owns her King.Lord, on our souls Thy Spirit pour;
The moral waste within restore;
O let Thy love our springtide be,
And make us all bear fruit to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 65:1] Praise Waits For Thee In Zion
Praise waits for Thee in Zion; all tribes shall worship there
And pay their vows before Thee, O God Who hearest prayer.
Our sins rise up against us, prevailing day by day,
But Thou wilt show us mercy and take their guilt away.How blest the ones Thou callest and bringest near to Thee,
That in Thy courts forever their dwelling place may be;
They shall within Thy temple be satisfied with grace,
And filled with all the goodness of Thy most holy place.O God of our salvation, since Thou dost love the right,
Thou wilt an answer send us in wondrous deeds of might.
In all earth’s habitations, on all the boundless sea,
We find no sure reliance, no peace, apart from Thee.Thy might sets fast the mountains; strength girds Thee evermore
To calm the raging peoples and still the ocean’s roar.
Thy majesty and greatness are through all lands confessed,
And joy on earth Thou sendest afar from east to west.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 65:5
-
[Psa 65:5] Almighty Father, Hear Our Cry
Almighty Father, hear our cry,
As o’er the trackless deep we roam;
Be Thou our haven always nigh,
On homeless waters Thou our home.O Jesu, Savior, at Whose voice
The tempest sank to perfect rest,
Bid Thou the fearful heart rejoice,
And cleanse and calm the troubled breast.O Holy Ghost, beneath Whose power
The ocean woke to life and light,
Command Thy blessing in this hour,
Thy fostering warmth, Thy quickening might.Great God of our salvation, Thee
We love, we worship, we adore;
Our Refuge on time’s changeful sea,
Our Joy on Heav’n’s eternal shore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 65:5] Father, Who Art Alone
Father, who art alone
Our Helper and our Stay;
O hear us! as we plead
For loved ones far away;
And shield with Thine almighty hand
Our wanderers by sea and land.O compass with Thy love
The daily path they tread!
And may Thy light and truth
Upon their hearts be shed;
That, one in all things with Thy will,
Heav’n’s peace and joy their souls may fill.Guard them from every harm
When dangers shall assail,
And teach them that Thy power
Can never, never fail;
We cannot with our loved ones be,
But trust them, Father, unto Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 65:5] God Of Our Salvation Hears, The
The God of our salvation hears
The groans of Zion mixed with tears;
Yet when He comes with kind designs,
Through all the way His terror shines.On Him the race of man depends,
Far as the earth’s remotest ends,
Where the Creator’s Name is known
By nature’s feeble light alone.Sailors, that travel o’er the flood,
Address their frighted souls to God,
When tempests rage and billows roar
At dreadful distance from the shore.He bids the noisy tempests cease;
He calms the raging crowd to peace,
When a tumultuous nation raves
Wild as the winds, and loud as waves.Whole kingdoms, shaken by the storm,
He settles in a peaceful form;
Mountains, established by His hand,
Firm on their old foundations stand.Behold His ensigns sweep the sky,
New comets blaze, and lightnings fly;
The heathen lands, with swift surprise,
From the bright horrors turn their eyes.At His command the morning ray
Smiles in the east, and leads the day;
He guides the sun’s declining wheels
Over the tops of western hills.Seasons and times obey His voice;
The evening and the morn rejoice
To see the earth made soft with showers,
Laden with fruit, and dressed in flowers.’Tis from His watery stores on high
He gives the thirsty ground supply;
He walks upon the clouds, and thence
Doth His enriching drops dispense.The desert grows a fruitful field,
Abundant food the valleys yield;
The valleys shout with cheerful voice,
And neighboring hills repeat their joys.The pastures smile in green array;
There lambs and larger cattle play;
The larger cattle and the lamb
Each in His language speaks Thy Name.Thy works pronounce Thy power divine;
O’er every field Thy glories shine;
Through every month Thy gifts appear;
Great God, Thy goodness crowns the year!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 66:16
-
[Psa 66:16] Come, Ye That Fear The Lord
Come, ye that fear the Lord, and hear
What He has done for me;
My cry for help is turned to praise,
For He has set me free.
Through pain and trouble Thou hast led,
And humbled all our pride,
But, in the end, to liberty
And wealth Thy hand did guide.If in my heart I sin regard,
My prayer He will not hear;
But truly God has heard my voice,
My prayer has reached His ear.
O let the Lord, our gracious God,
Forever blessèd be,
Who has not turned my prayer from Him,
Nor yet His grace from me.Here in Thy house I give to Thee
The life that Thou dost bless,
And pay the solemn vows I made
When I was in distress.
O all ye peoples, bless our God,
Aloud proclaim His praise,
Who safely holds our soul in life,
And steadfast makes our ways.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.Refrain
I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems

I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.Refrain
I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.Refrain
I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.Refrain

Savior of the nations, come;
Virgin’s Son, here make Thy home!
Marvel now, O heaven and earth,
That the Lord chose such a birth.Not by human flesh and blood;
By the Spirit of our God
Was the Word of God made flesh,
Woman’s offspring, pure and fresh.Wondrous birth! O wondrous Child
Of the virgin undefiled!
Though by all the world disowned,
Still to be in heaven enthroned.From the Father forth He came
And returneth to the same,
Captive leading death and hell
High the song of triumph swell!Thou, the Father’s only Son,
Hast over sin the victory won.
Boundless shall Thy kingdom be;
When shall we its glories see?Brightly doth Thy manger shine,

[Psa 69:3] O God, Our Words Cannot Express
O God, our words cannot express
The pain we feel this day.
Enraged, uncertain, we confess
Our need to bow and pray.We grieve for all who lost their lives…
And for each injured one.
We pray for children, husbands, wives
Whose grief has just begun.O Lord, we’re called to offer prayer
For all our leaders, too.

In you we will not fear!
May peace and justice now embrace!

Psalms 72:1
-
[Psa 72:1] Great God, Whose Universal Sway
Great God, whose universal sway
The known and unknown worlds obey,
Now give the kingdom to Thy Son,
Extend His power, exalt His throne.Thy scepter well becomes His hands,
All Heav’n submits to His commands;
His justice shall avenge the poor,
And pride and rage prevail no more.With power He vindicates the just,
And treads th’oppressor in the dust;
His worship and His fear shall last,
Till hours, and years, and time be past.As rain on meadows newly mown,
So shall He send His influence down;
His grace on fainting souls distils,
Like heav’nly dew on thirsty hills.The heathen lands that lie beneath
The shades of overspreading death,
Revive at His first dawning light,
And deserts blossom at the sight.The saints shall flourish in His days,
Dressed in the robes of joy and praise
Peace, like a river from His throne,
Shall flow to nations yet unknown.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 72:1] Hail To The Lord’s Anointed
Hail to the Lord’s anointed, great David’s greater Son!
Hail in the time appointed, His reign on earth begun!
He comes to break oppression, to set the captive free;
To take away transgression and rule in equity.He comes in succor speedy to those who suffer wrong;
To help the poor and needy, and bid the weak be strong;
To give them songs for sighing, their darkness turn to light,
Whose souls, condemned and dying, were precious in His sight.By such shall He be fearèd while sun and moon endure;
Beloved, obeyed, reverèd; for He shall judge the poor
Through changing generations, with justice, mercy, truth,
While stars maintain their stations, or moons renew their youth.He shall come down like showers upon the fruitful earth;
Love, joy, and hope, like flowers, spring in His path to birth.
Before Him, on the mountains, shall peace, the herald, go,
And righteousness, in fountains, from hill to valley flow.Arabia’s desert ranger to Him shall bow the knee;
The Ethiopian stranger His glory come to see;
With offerings of devotion ships from the isles shall meet,
To pour the wealth of oceans in tribute at His feet.Kings shall fall down before Him, and gold and incense bring;
All nations shall adore Him, His praise all people sing;
For He shall have dominion o’er river, sea and shore,
Far as the eagle’s pinion or dove’s light wing can soar.For Him shall prayer unceasing and daily vows ascend;
His kingdom still increasing, a kingdom without end:
The mountain dews shall nourish a seed in weakness sown,
Whose fruit shall spread and flourish and shake like Lebanon.O’er every foe victorious, He on His throne shall rest;
From age to age more glorious, all blessing and all blest.
The tide of time shall never His covenant remove;
His Name shall stand forever, His Name to us is Love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 72:1] O God, To Thine Anointed King
O God, to Thine anointed King
Give truth and righteousness;
Thy people He will justly judge
And give the poor redress.
Then every fruitful mountainside
Shall yield its rich increase,
And righteousness in all the land
Shall bear the fruit of peace.The poor man’s cause He will maintain,
The needy He will bless,
And He will break the strength of those
Who would the poor oppress.
So men shall fear Thee while the sun
In daily splendor glows,
And through all ages, while the moon
On earth its light bestows.Like rain upon the newborn grass,
That falls refreshingly,
Like gentle showers that cheer the earth,
So shall His coming be.
The righteous in His glorious day
Shall flourish and increase,
The earth, until the moon shall fade,
Shall have abundant peace.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 73:26
-
[Psa 73:26] My God, My Portion, And My Love
My God, my portion, and my love,
My everlasting all!
I’ve none but Thee in Heav’n above,
Or on this earthly ball.What empty things are all the skies,
And this inferior clod!
There’s nothing here deserves my joys,
There’s nothing like my God.In vain the bright, the burning sun
Scatters his feeble light;
’Tis Thy sweet beams create my noon;
If Thou withdraw, ’tis night.And whilst upon my restless bed,
Amongst the shades I roll,
If my Redeemer shows His head,
’Tis morning with my soul.To Thee we owe our wealth, and friends,
And health, and safe abode:
Thanks to Thy Name for meaner things,
But they are not my God.How vain a toy is glitt’ring wealth,
If once compared to Thee!
Or what’s my safety, or my health,
Or all my friends to me?Were I possessor of the earth,
And called the stars my own,
Without Thy graces and Thyself
I were a wretch undone.Let others stretch their arms like seas
And grasp in all the shore,
Grant me the visits of Thy face,

-
[Psa 74:1] O Wherefore Hast Thou Cast Us Off
O wherefore hast Thou cast us off,
O God, our God of old?
Why art Thou angry with Thy sheep,
The sheep of Thine own fold,
The sheep of Thine own fold?Remember Thine inheritance,
Thy Church, redeemed by grace;
Remember Zion’s mount profaned,
Thine ancient dwelling place,
Thine ancient dwelling place.In ruin long Thy temple lies;
Arise, O God of grace,
And see the ruin foes have wrought
Within Thy holy place,
Within Thy holy place.Amid Thy courts are lifted high
The standards of the foe,
And impious hands with axe and fire
Have laid Thy temple low,
Have laid Thy temple low.They have profaned the holy place
Where Thou hast set Thy Name,
The sanctuaries of our God
Are given to the flame,
Are given to the flame.We see no signs of power divine,
No prophet speaks for Thee,
And none can tell, and none can know,
How long these woes shall be,
How long these woes shall be.How long, O God, shall blasphemy
And shame reproach our land?
Why dost Thou not destroy Thy foes
With Thine almighty hand,
With Thine almighty hand?Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 76:1
-
[Psa 76:1] God Is Known Among His People
God is known among His people,
Every mouth His praises fill;
From of old He has established
His abode on Zion’s hill;
There He broke the sword and arrow,
Bade the noise of war be still.Excellent and glorious art Thou,
With Thy trophies from the fray;
Thou hast slain the valiant hearted,
Wrapped in sleep of death are they;
When Thine anger once is risen,
Who can stand in that dread day?When from Heav’n Thy sentence sounded,
All the earth in fear was still,
While to save the meek and lowly
God in judgment wrought His will;
E’en the wrath of man shall praise Thee,
Thy designs it shall fulfill.Vow and pay ye to Jehovah,
Him your God forever own;
All men, bring your gifts before Him,
Worship Him, and Him alone;
Mighty kings obey and fear Him,
Princes bow before His throne.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 79:1
-
[Psa 79:1] In Thy Heritage The Heathen
In Thy heritage the heathen
Now, O God, triumphant stand;
They defile Thy holy temple,
They destroy Thy chosen land;
Ruthless, they have slain Thy servants,
They have caused Thy saints to mourn;
In the sight of all about us
We endure reproach and scorn.O how long against Thy people
Shall Thine anger burn, O Lord?
On Thine enemies, the heathen,
Be Thine indignation poured;
Smite the kingdoms that defy Thee,
Calling not upon Thy Name;
They have long devoured Thy people
And have swept Thy land with flame.O remember not against us
Evil by our fathers wrought;
Haste to help us in Thy mercy
Near to ruin we are brought;
Help us, God of our salvation,
For the glory of Thy Name;
For Thy Name’s sake come and save us,
Take away our sin and shame.Let Thy foes no longer scorn Thee,
Now avenge Thy servants slain;
Loose the prisoner, save the dying,
All Thine enemies restrain;
Then Thy flock, Thy chosen people,
Unto Thee their thanks shall raise,
And to every generation
We will sing Thy glorious praise.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 79:1] Remember Not, O God
Remember not, O God,
The sins of long ago;
In tender mercy visit us,
Distressed and humbled low.O Lord, our Savior, help,
And glorify Thy Name;
Deliver us from all our sins,
And take away our shame.In Thy compassion hear
Thy prisoner’s plaintive sigh,
And in the greatness of Thy power
Save those about to die.Then, safe within Thy fold,
We will exalt Thy Name;
Our thankful hearts with songs of joy
Thy goodness will proclaim.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 79:9-10
-
[Psa 79:9] God Of Our Salvation! Hear Us
God of our salvation! hear us;
Bless, O bless us, ere we go;
When we join the world, be near us,
Lest we cold and careless grow.
Savior! keep us,
Keep us safe from every foe.As our steps are drawing nearer
To our everlasting home
May our view of Heav’n grow clearer,
Hope more bright of joys to come;
And, when dying,
May Thy presence cheer the gloom.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 79:9] Jesu, Lord Of Life And Glory
Jesu, Lord of life and glory,
Bend from Heav’n Thy gracious ear;
While our waiting souls adore Thee,
Friend of helpless sinners, hear:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.Taught by Thine unerring Spirit,
Boldly we draw nigh to God,
Only in Thy spotless merit,
Only through Thy precious blood:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.From the depth of nature’s blindness,
From the hardening power of sin,
From all malice and unkindness,
From the pride that lurks within:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.When temptation sorely presses,
In the day of Satan’s power,
In our times of deep distresses,
In each dark and trying hour:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.When the world around is smiling,
In the time of wealth and ease,
Earthly joys our hearts beguiling,
In the day of health and peace,
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.In the weary hours of sickness,
In the times of grief and pain,
When we feel our mortal weakness,
When the creature’s help is vain:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.In the solemn hour of dying,
In the awful judgment day,
May our souls, on Thee relying,
Find Thee still our Rock and Stay:
By Thy mercy, O deliver us, good Lord.Jesu, may Thy promised blessing
Comfort to our souls afford;
May we now, Thy love possessing,
And at length our full reward,
Ever praise Thee, Thee, our ever glorious Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 80:14
-
[Psa 80:14] Look Down Upon Us, God Of Grace
Look down upon us, God of grace,
And send from Thy most holy place
The quickening Spirit all divine,
On us and on this bread and wine.O may His overshadowing
Make now for us this bread we bring
The body of Thy Son our Lord,
This cup His blood for sinners poured.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 80:14] O Heavenly King, Look Down From Above
O heavenly King, look down from above;
Assist us to sing Thy mercy and love.
So sweetly o’erflowing, so plenteous the store,
Thou still art bestowing, and giving us more.O God of our life, we hallow Thy Name,
Our business and strife is Thee to proclaim.
Accept our thanksgiving for creating grace;
The living, the living shall show forth Thy praise.Our Father and Lord, almighty art Thou;
Preserved by Thy Word, we worship Thee now;
The bountiful Donor of all we enjoy,
Our tongues, to Thine honor, and lives we employ.But, oh, above all Thy kindness we praise,
From sin and from thrall which saves the lost race;
Thy Son Thou hast given the world to redeem,
And bring us to Heaven whose trust is in Him.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 84:10-11
-
[Psa 84:10] How Lovely Are Thy Tents, O Lord
How lovely are Thy tents, O Lord!
Where’er Thou choosest to record
Thy Name, or place Thy house of prayer;
My soul outflies the angel choir,
And faints, o’erpowered with strong desire,
To meet Thy special presence there.My heart and flesh cry out for God;
There would I fix my soul’s abode,
As birds that in the altars nest;
There would I all my young ones bring,
An offering to my God and King,
And in Thy courts for ever rest.Happy the men to whom ’tis given,
To dwell within that gate of Heaven,
And in Thy house record Thy praise;
Whose strength and confidence Thou art,
Who feel Thee, Savior, in their heart,
The Way, the Truth, the Life of grace:Who, passing through the mournful vale,
Drink comfort from the living well,
That flows replenished from above;
From strength to strength advancing here,
Till all before their God appear,
And each receives the crown of love.Better a day Thy courts within
Than thousands in the tents of sin;
How base the noblest pleasure there!
How great the weakest child of Thine!
His meanest task is all divine,
And kings and priests Thy servants are.The Lord protects and cheers His own,
Their light and strength, their shield and sun;
He shall both grace and glory give;
Unlimited His bounteous grant;
No real good they e’er shall want;
All, all is theirs, who righteous live.O Lord of hosts, how blest is he
Who steadfastly believes in Thee!
He all Thy promises shall gain;
The soul that on Thy love is cast
Thy perfect love on earth shall taste,
And soon with Thee in glory reign.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:10] How Lovely, How Divinely Sweet
How lovely, how divinely sweet,
Oh Lord! Thy sacred courts appear;
Fain would my longing passions meet
The glories of Thy presence there.O bless’d the men, bless’d their employ,
Whom Thy indulgent favors raise
To dwell in those abodes of joy,
And sing Thy never ceasing praise.Happy the men whom strength divine
With ardent love and zeal inspires;
Whose steps to Thy blest way incline
With willing hearts and warm desires.One day within Thy sacred gate,
Affords more real joy to me
Than thousands in the tents of state;
The meanest place is bliss with Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:10] My Soul, How Lovely Is The Place
My soul, how lovely is the place
To which thy God resorts!
’Tis heav’n to see His smiling face,
Though in His earthly courts.There the great Monarch of the skies
His saving power displays,
And light breaks in upon our eyes
With kind and quick’ning rays.With His rich gifts the heav’nly Dove
Descends and fills the place,
While Christ reveals His wondrous love,
And sheds abroad His grace.There, mighty God, Thy words declare
The secrets of Thy will;
And still we seek Thy mercy there,
And sing Thy praises still.My heart and flesh cry out for Thee,
While far from Thine abode;
When shall I tread Thy courts, and see
My Savior and my God?The sparrow builds herself a nest,
And suffers no remove;
O make me, like the sparrows, blest,
To dwell but where I love.To sit one day beneath Thine eye,
And hear Thy gracious voice,
Exceeds a whole eternity
Employed in carnal joys.Lord, at Thy threshold I would wait
While Jesus is within,
Rather than fill a throne of state,
Or live in tents of sin.Could I command the spacious land,
And the more boundless sea,
For one blest hour at Thy right hand
I’d give them both away.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:10] Pleasant Are Thy Courts Above
Pleasant are Thy courts above,
In the land of light and love;
Pleasant are Thy courts below
In this land of sin and woe;
O, my spirit longs and faints
For the converse of Thy saints,
For the brightness of Thy face,
For Thy fullness, God of grace.Happy birds that sing and fly
Round Thy altars, O most High;
Happier souls that find a rest
In a heavenly Father’s breast;
Like the wandering dove that found
No repose on earth around,
They can to their ark repair,
And enjoy it ever there.Happy souls, their praises flow
Even in this vale of woe;
Waters in the desert rise,
Manna feeds them from the skies;
On they go from strength to strength,
Till they reach Thy throne at length,
At Thy feet adoring fall,
Who hast led them safe through all.Lord, be mine this prize to win,
Guide me through a world of sin,
Keep me by Thy saving grace,
Give me at Thy side a place;
Sun and shield alike Thou art,
Guide and guard my erring heart.
Grace and glory flow from Thee;
Shower, O shower them, Lord, on me.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:11] Eternal Sun Of Righteousness
Eternal Sun of righteousness,
Display Thy beams divine,
And cause the glory of Thy face
Upon my heart to shine.Light, in Thy light, oh, may I see,
Thy grace and mercy prove,
Revived, and cheered, and blest by Thee,
The God of pardoning love.Lift up Thy countenance serene,
And let Thy happy child
Behold, without a cloud between,
The Father reconciled.On me Thy promised grace bestow,
The peace by Jesus giv’n;
The joys of holiness below,
And then the joys of Heav’n.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:11] Jesus, Sun And Shield Art Thou
Jesus, Sun and Shield art Thou;
Sun and Shield forever:
Never canst Thou cease to shine,
Cease to guard us never.
Cheer our steps as on we go,
Come between us and the foe.Jesus, Bread and Wine art Thou,
Wine and Bread forever:
Never canst Thou cease to feed,
Or refresh us never.
Feed we still on Bread divine,
Drink we still this heavenly Wine.Jesus, Love and Life art Thou,
Life and Love for ever:
Ne’er to quicken shalt Thou cease,
Or to love us never.
All of life and love we need
Is in Thee, in Thee indeed.Jesus, Peace and Joy art Thou,
Joy and Peace for ever:
Joy that fades not, changes not,
Peace that leaves us never.
Joy and peace we have in Thee,
Now and through eternity.Jesus, Song and Strength art Thou,
Strength and Song for ever:
Strength that never can decay,
Song that ceaseth never.
Still to us this strength and song
Through eternal days prolong.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:11] Sun Of My Soul
Sun of my soul, Thou Savior dear,
It is not night if Thou be near;
O may no earthborn cloud arise
To hide Thee from Thy servant’s eyes.When the soft dews of kindly sleep
My wearied eyelids gently steep,
Be my last thought, how sweet to rest
Forever on my Savior’s breast.Abide with me from morn till eve,
For without Thee I cannot live;
Abide with me when night is nigh,
For without Thee I dare not die.If some poor wandering child of Thine
Has spurned today the voice divine,
Now, Lord, the gracious work begin;
Let him no more lie down in sin.Watch by the sick, enrich the poor
With blessings from Thy boundless store;
Be every mourner’s sleep tonight,
Like infants’ slumbers, pure and right.Come near and bless us when we wake,
Ere through the world our way we take,
Till in the ocean of Thy love
We lose ourselves in Heaven above.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:11] Trust And Obey
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.Refrain
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.Refrain
Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.Refrain
But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.Refrain
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet.
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.Refrain

Psalms 89:8
-
[Psa 89:8] Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Of Hosts
Holy, holy, holy Lord
God of Hosts! When Heav’n and earth,
Out of darkness, at Thy Word,
Issued into glorious birth,
All Thy works before Thee stood,
And Thine eye beheld them good,
While they sang with sweet accord,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord!Holy, holy, holy! Thee
One Jehovah evermore,
Father, Son, and Spirit, we
Dust and ashes, would adore;
Lightly by the world esteemed,
From that world by Thee redeemed,
Sing we here with glad accord,
Holy, holy, holy Lord!Holy, holy, holy! All
Heaven’s triumphant choirs shall sing
When the ransomed nations fall
At the footstool of their King:
Then shall saints and seraphim,
Hearts and voices, swell one hymn,
Round the throne with full accord,
Holy, holy, holy Lord!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 90:2
-
[Psa 90:2] Ere Mountains Reared Their Forms Sublime
Ere mountains reared their forms sublime,
Or Heav’n and earth in order stood,
Before the birth of ancient time,
From everlasting Thou art God.A thousand ages, in their flight,
With Thee are as a fleeting day;
Past, present, future, to Thy sight
At once their various scenes display.But our brief life’s a shadowy dream,
A passing thought that soon is o’er,
That fades with morning’s earliest beam,
And fills the musing mind no more.To us, O Lord, the wisdom give
Each passing moment so to spend,
That we at length with Thee may live
Where life and bliss shall never end.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 90:2] Have Mercy On Us, God Most High
Have mercy on us, God most high,
Who lift our hearts to Thee;
Have mercy on us worms of earth,
Most holy Trinity.Most ancient of all mysteries!
Before Thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most Merciful,
Most holy Trinity.When heaven and earth were yet unmade,
When time was yet unknown,
Thou, in Thy bliss and majesty,
Didst live and love alone.Thou wert not born; there was no fount
From which Thy Being flowed;
There is no end which Thou canst reach;
But Thou art simply God.How wonderful creation is,
The work that Thou didst bless;
And oh, what then must Thou be like,
Eternal Loveliness!How beautiful the angels are,
The saints how bright in bliss;
But with Thy beauty, Lord, compared,
How dull, how poor is this.O listen, then, most pitiful,
To Thy poor creature’s heart:
It blesses Thee that Thou art God;
That Thou art what Thou art.Most ancient of all mysteries!
Still at Thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most Merciful,
Most holy Trinity.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 90:2] Through Every Age, Eternal God
Through every age, eternal God,
Thou art our rest, our safe abode;
High was Thy throne ere Heav’n was made,
Or earth Thy humble footstool laid.Long hadst Thou reigned ere time began,
Or dust was fashioned to a man;
And long Thy kingdom shall endure
When earth and time shall be no more.But man, weak man, is born to die,
Made up of guilt and vanity;
Thy dreadful sentence, Lord, was just,
Return, ye sinners, to your dust.A thousand of our years amount
Scarce to a day in Thine account;
Like yesterday’s departed light,
Or the last watch of ending night.Death, like an overflowing stream,
Sweeps us away; our life’s a dream,
An empty tale, a morning flower,
Cut down and withered in an hour.Our age to seventy years is set;
How short the time! how frail the state!
And if to eighty we arrive,
We rather sigh and groan than live.But O how oft Thy wrath appears,
And cuts off our expected years!
Thy wrath awakes our humble dread;
We fear the power that strikes us dead.Teach us, O Lord, how frail is man;
And kindly lengthen out our span,
Till a wise care of piety
Fit us to die, and dwell with Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 95:7
-
[Psa 95:7] Hush, My Soul, What Voice Is Pleading?
Hush, my soul, what voice is pleading?
Thou canst feel its silent power;
Who is this that speaks so gently
In this solemn evening hour?
“Stay, poor sinner; life is fleeting,
And thy soul is dark within;
Wilt thou wait till outer darkness
Close in gloom thy life of sin?”Hark! it is a voice of sweetness,
Tenderly it speaks, and true!
Dark and sad, yet strangely yearning,
For a peace I never knew.
Half inclined to stay and listen,
Half inclined to go away;
Still I linger, for it whispers,
“Harden not thy heart today.”What is this that steals beside me?
Can it be that at my side,
In His own mysterious presence,
Stands the wondrous Crucified?
“Why poor sinner, wilt thou linger?
I am waiting to forgive;
See the meaning of these wound prints;
I have died that thou mayest live!”Hush, my soul! It is thy Savior!
And He seeks His lost one now;
He is waiting, flee not from Him,
Venture near, before Him bow;
Tell Thy sins; He will forgive thee;
And He will not love thee less;
For the human heart of Jesus
Overflows with tenderness.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 95:7] I Have Heard Thy Voice, Lord Jesus
I have heard Thy voice, Lord Jesus,
Saying in Thy grace divine:
“Fear thou not, I have redeemed thee;
I have called thee, thou art Mine.”
Lord, I bring Thee full allegiance!
Therefore now to Thee I sing,
Answ’ring, “Yea, Thou hast redeemed me;
I am Thine, my Lord, my King!”I have nothing worth Thy taking,
Thou, whom heav’nly hosts adore,
But my heart is longing, yearning,
To be Thine forevermore.
So I come to Thee, Lord Jesus,
Laying in surrender meet
All I am, and have, and hope for,
All I love, at Thy dear feet.Yet the off’rings here are humble,
Which Thy children bring to Thee,
And their best and sweetest praises
Are but rendered falt’ringly.
But our song shall be triumphant,
When Thy glory we shall see:
“All for Jesus!” All for Jesus!
Now and through eternity.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 95:7] No Voice But Thine
We come again, O gracious Lord,
Around Thy hallowed mercy seat,
To feast upon Thy living Word,
And lay our burdens at Thy feet.Refrain
Shut out the world, that we may see
Within our midst no one but Thee;
Our love inspire through faith divine,
That we may hear no voice but Thine.We come again, for still we need
Refreshing showers our hearts to cheer,
In Thy dear Name the grace we plead,
That to Thy throne will bring us near.Refrain
Our strength renew, our hope increase,
And may we now Thy blessings share;
Keep Thou Thine own in perfect peace,
Control our thoughts, direct our prayer.Refrain
And when this hour shall pass away,
Oh, may Thy presence come so near
That from our hearts we all may say,
’Twas good for us to gather here.Refrain

[Psa 95:7] Today The Savior Calls
Today the Savior calls:
Ye wand’rers, come;
O ye benighted souls,
Why longer roam?Today the Savior calls:
O listen now!
Within these sacred walls
To Jesus bow.Today the Savior calls:
For refuge fly;
The storm of justice falls,
And death is nigh.The Spirit calls today:
Yield to His power;
O grieve Him not away;
’Tis mercy’s hour.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 143:10
-
[Psa 143:10] God Is Ever Good
See the shining dewdrops
On the flowers strewed,
Proving as they sparkle,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”See the morning sunbeams
Lighting up the wood,
Silently proclaiming,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Hear the mountain streamlet
In its solitude,
With its ripple saying,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”He Who came to save us
Shed His precious blood;
Better things it speaketh:
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Bring, my heart, thy tribute,
Songs of gratitude;
All things join to tell us,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 143:10] Sweet Will Of God
My stubborn will at last hath yielded;
I would be Thine, and Thine alone;
And this the prayer my lips are bringing,
Lord, let in me Thy will be done.Refrain
Sweet will of God, still fold me closer;
Till I am wholly lost in Thee;
Sweet will of God, still fold me closer,
Till I am wholly lost in Thee.Refrain
I’m tired of sin, footsore and weary,
The darksome path hath dreary grown,
But now a light has ris’n to cheer me;
I find in Thee my Star, my Sun.Refrain
Thy precious will, O conqu’ring Savior,
Doth now embrace and compass me;
All discords hushed, my peace a river,
My soul, a prisoned bird, set free.Refrain
Shut in with Thee, O Lord, forever,
My wayward feet no more to roam;
What pow’r from Thee my soul can sever?
The center of God’s will my home.Refrain

[Psa 143:10] Within The Maddening Maze Of Things
Within the maddening maze of things,
When tossed by storm and flood,
To one fixed trust my spirit clings;
I know that God is good!No offering of my own I have,
Nor works my faith to prove;
I can but give the gifts He gave,
And plead His love for love.I know not where His islands lift
Their fronded palms in air;
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond His love and care.And so beside the silent sea
I wait the muffled oar;
No harm from Him can come to me
On ocean or on shore.I know not what the future hath
Of marvel or surprise,
Assured alone that life and death
His mercy underlies.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 145:1
-
[Psa 145:1] Before The Lord We Bow
Before the Lord we bow, the God Who reigns above,
And rules the world below, boundless in power and love.
Our thanks we bring in joy and praise, our hearts we raise
To Heaven’s high King.The nation Thou hast blest may well Thy love declare,
From foes and fears at rest, protected by Thy care.
For this fair land, for this bright day, our thanks we pay,
Gifts of Thy hand.May every mountain height, each vale and forest green,
Shine in Thy Word’s pure light, and its rich fruits be seen!
May every tongue be tuned to praise, and join to raise
A grateful song.Earth, hear thy Maker’s voice, thy great Redeemer own;
Believe, obey, rejoice, and worship Him alone.
Cast down thy pride, thy sin deplore and bow before
The Crucified.And when in power He comes, O may our native land,
From all its rending tombs, send forth a glorious band.
A countless throng, ever to sing to Heaven’s high King
Salvation’s song.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] God, My King, Thy Might Confessing
God, my King, Thy might confessing,
Ever will I bless Thy Name;
Day by day Thy throne addressing,
Still will I Thy praise proclaim.Honor great our God befitteth;
Who His majesty can reach?
Age to age His works transmitteth,
Age to age His power shall teach.They shall talk of all Thy glory,
On Thy might and greatness dwell,
Speak of Thy dread acts the story,
And Thy deeds of wonder tell.Nor shall fail from memory’s treasure
Works by love and mercy wrought;
Works of love surpassing measure,
Works of mercy passing thought.Full of kindness and compassion,
Slow to anger, vast in love,
God is good to all creation;
All His works His goodness prove.All Thy works, O Lord, shall bless Thee;
Thee shall all Thy saints adore:
King supreme shall they confess Thee,
And proclaim Thy sovereign power.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] I Will Extol Thee, O My God
I will extol Thee, O my God, and praise Thee, O my King;
Yea, every day and evermore Thy praises will I sing.
Great is the Lord, our mighty God, and greatly to be praised;
His greatness is unsearchable, above all glory raised.Each generation to the next shall testimony bear,
And to Thy praise, from age to age, Thy wondrous acts declare;
Upon Thy glorious majesty and honor I will dwell,
And all Thy grand and glorious works and all Thy greatness tell.Thy mighty acts and terrible shall men with awe confess;
Of Thy great goodness they shall sing, and perfect righteousness.
Most gracious and compassionate is God Who reigns above;
His wrath is ever slow to rise, unbounded is His love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] My God, My King, Thy Various Praise
My God, my King, Thy various praise
Shall fill the remnant of my days;
Thy grace employ my humble tongue
Till death and glory raise the song.The wings of every hour shall bear
Some thankful tribute to Thine ear;
And every setting sun shall see
New works of duty done for Thee.Thy truth and justice I’ll proclaim;
Thy bounty flows an endless stream;
Thy mercy swift, Thine anger slow,
But dreadful to the stubborn foe.Thy works with sovereign glory shine,
And speak Thy majesty divine;
Let us upon all shores proclaim
[originally, Let Britain round her shores proclaim]
The sound and honor of Thy Name.Let distant times and nations raise
The long succession of Thy praise,
And unborn ages make my song
The joy and labor of their tongue.But who can speak Thy wondrous deeds?
Thy greatness all our thoughts exceeds?
Vast and unsearchable Thy ways,
Vast and immortal be Thy praise!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] O Lord, Thou Art My God And King (1)
O Lord, Thou art my God and King,
And I will ever bless Thy Name.
I will extol Thee every day,
And evermore Thy praise proclaim.The Lord is greatly to be praised.
His greatness is beyond our thoughts.
From age to age the sons of men
Shall tell the wonders God has wrought.Upon Thy glorious majesty
And wondrous works my mind shall dwell.
Thy deeds fill all the world with awe,
And of Thy greatness I will tell.Thy matchless goodness and Thy grace
Thy people shall commemorate,
And all Thy truth and righteousness
My joyful song shall celebrate.The Lord our God is rich in grace,
Most tender and compassionate;
His anger is most slow to rise,
His lovingkindness is most great.The Lord is good in all His ways,
His creatures know His constant care;
To all His works His love extends,
All men His tender mercies share.Thy works shall give Thee thanks, O Lord,
Thy saints Thy mighty acts shall show,
Till o’er the earth the sons of men
Thy kingdom, power and glory know.Eternal is Thy kingdom, Lord,
Forever strong and ever sure;
While generations rise and die,
Shall Thy dominion still endure.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] O Lord, Thou Art My God And King (2)
O Lord, Thou art my God and King;
Thee will I magnify and praise:
I will Thee bless, and gladly sing
Unto Thy holy Name always.Each day I rise I will Thee bless,
And praise Thy Name time without end.
Much to be praised, and great God is;
His greatness none can comprehend.Race shall Thy works praise unto race,
The mighty acts show done by Thee.
I will speak of the glorious grace,
And honor of Thy majesty;Thy wondrous works I will record.
By men the might shall be extolled
Of all Thy dreadful acts, O Lord:
And I Thy greatness will unfold.They utter shall abundantly
The memory of Thy goodness great;
And shall sing praises cheerfully,
Whilst they Thy righteousness relate.The Lord our God is gracious,
Compassionate is He also;
In mercy He is plenteous,
But unto wrath and anger slow.Good unto all men is the Lord:
O’er all His works His mercy is.
Thy works all praise to Thee afford:
Thy saints, O Lord, Thy Name shall bless.The glory of Thy kingdom show
Shall they, and of Thy power tell:
That so men’s sons His deeds may know,
His kingdom’s grace that doth excel.Thy kingdom hath none end at all,
It doth through ages all remain.
The Lord upholdeth all that fall,
The cast-down raiseth up again.The eyes of all things, Lord, attend,
And on Thee wait that here do live,
And Thou, in season due, dost send
Sufficient food them to relieve.Yea, Thou Thine hand dost open wide,
And every thing dost satisfy
That lives, and doth on earth abide,
Of Thy great liberality.The Lord is just in His ways all,
And holy in His works each one.
He’s near to all that on Him call,
Who call in truth on Him alone.God will the just desire fulfill
Of such as do Him fear and dread:
Their cry regard, and hear He will,
And save them in the time of need.The Lord preserves all, more and less,
That bear to Him a loving heart:
But workers all of wickedness
Destroy will He, and clean subvert.Therefore my mouth and lips I’ll frame
To speak the praises of the Lord:
To magnify His holy Name
For ever let all flesh accord.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] Our Helper God, We Bless Thy Name
Our Helper, God, we bless Thy Name,
Whose love forever is the same;
The tokens of Whose gracious care
Begin and crown and close the year.Amid ten thousand snares we stand,
Supported by Thy guardian hand;
And see, when we review our ways,
Ten thousand monuments of praise.Thus far Thine arm has led us on;
Thus far we make Thy mercy known;
And while we tread this desert land,
New mercies shall new songs demand.Our grateful souls on Jordan’s shore
Shall raise one sacred pillar more,
Then bear, in Thy bright courts above,
Inscriptions of immortal love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] Savior, Again To Thy Dear Name
Savior, again to Thy dear Name we raise
With one accord our parting hymn of praise;
We stand to bless Thee ere our worship cease;
Then, lowly kneeling, wait Thy word of peace.Grant us Thy peace upon our homeward way;
With Thee began, with Thee shall end the day.
Guard thou the lips from sin, the hearts from shame,
That in this house have called upon Thy Name.Grant us Thy peace, through this approaching night;
Turn Thou for us its darkness into light;
From harm and danger keep Thy children free,
For dark and light are both alike to Thee.Grant us Thy peace—the peace Thou didst bestow
On Thine Apostles in Thine hour of woe;
The peace Thou broughtest, when at eventide
They saw Thy piercèd hands, Thy wounded side.Grant us Thy peace throughout our earthly life;
Peace to Thy church from error and from strife;
Peace to our land, the fruit of truth and love;
Peace in each heart, Thy Spirit from above.Thy peace in life, the balm of every pain;
Thy peace in death, the hope to rise again;
Then, when Thy voice shall bid our conflict cease,
Call us, O Lord, to Thine eternal peace.Father, once more before we part, we raise
With one accord our parting hymn of praise:
Once more we bless Thee, ere our songs shall cease,
Then, lowly kneeling, pray Thee for Thy peace.Grant us Thy peace, Lord, through the coming night,
Turn Thou for us its darkness into light.
From harm and danger, fear and shame kept free,
For dark and light are both alike to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 145:1] We Will Exalt You, Our God The King
We will exalt you, our God the King;
For ever we will bless your name.
Your praises we will forever sing,
Each day we will extol your fame.The Lord is great and most worthy of praise;
His greatness no one can fully know.
Each age will tell of His wondrous ways
And to their children His glories show.The saints will speak of your majesty,
And I will ponder your awesome works.
They will rejoice in your charity,
And joyfully sing of your righteousness.The Lord is gracious and slow to wrath,
So full of mercy and rich in grace.
The Lord is good to all He has made,
And shows compassion in every place.All your creation will praise you, Lord;
Your saints will sing and declare your worth;
From joyful lips will your might be heard,
And kingdom glories throughout the earth.All your creation depends on you,
You feed them at their appointed time,
You, Lord, are righteous in all you do,
Let every creature exalt your Name.Play source: Cyberhymnal
