Psalms 7:3

Context

7:3 O Lord my God, if I have done what they say, 1 

or am guilty of unjust actions, 2 

Psalms 49:18

Context

49:18 He pronounces this blessing on himself while he is alive:

“May men praise you, for you have done well!”

Psalms 64:9

Context

64:9 and all people will fear. 3 

They will proclaim 4  what God has done,

and reflect on his deeds.

Psalms 66:16

Context

66:16 Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! 5 

I will declare what he has done for me.

Psalms 74:3

Context

74:3 Hurry and look 6  at the permanent ruins,

and all the damage the enemy has done to the temple! 7 

Psalms 75:9

75:9 As for me, I will continually tell what you have done; 8 

I will sing praises to the God of Jacob!

Psalms 140:9

140:9 As for the heads of those who surround me –

may the harm done by 9  their lips overwhelm them!

143:5 I recall the old days; 10 

I meditate on all you have done;

I reflect on your accomplishments. 11 

Psalms 147:20

147:20 He has not done so with any other nation;

they are not aware of his regulations.

1 tn Heb “if I have done this.”

2 tn Heb “if there is injustice in my hands.” The “hands” figuratively suggest deeds or actions.

3 tc Many medieval Hebrew mss read וַיִּרְאוּ (vayyiru, “and they will see”) instead of וַיִּירְאוּ (vayyirÿu, “and they will proclaim”).

4 tn Heb “the work of God,” referring to the judgment described in v. 7.

5 tn Heb “all of the fearers of God.”

6 tn Heb “lift up your steps to,” which may mean “run, hurry.”

7 tn Heb “everything [the] enemy has damaged in the holy place.”

8 tn Heb “I will declare forever.” The object needs to be supplied; God’s just judgment is in view.

9 tn Heb “harm of their lips.” The genitive here indicates the source or agent of the harm.

10 tn Or “ancient times”; Heb “days from before.”

11 tn Heb “the work of your hands.”
