Psalms 29:11
-
[Psa 29:11] Abode Of Peace
Abode of peace, my Father’s home forever!
My weary soul in faith doth yearn for thee.
I homeward look to Thee, my Lord and Savior,
To Thine abode of peace, eternally.
There is on earth no peaceful rest;
Our faith is weak, our souls oppressed,
Our vision dim and failing,
Our vision dim and failing.The Lord be praised that time so swiftly flieth;
God’s promise is fulfilled forevermore.
Who on God’s Word and promises relieth
Shall find at last the choicest wine in store.
Forgotten then is all distress,
Eternal peace and happiness
Shall then be ours forever,
Shall then be ours forever.Then, keep my heart forever, O my Savior,
And let me never, Lord, from Thee depart.
In joy, in pain, in sorrow, now and ever,
Thou only givest solace to my heart.
For when, O Lord, I am with Thee,
All other comforts well may flee;
With Thee I’m blest forever,
With Thee I’m blest forever.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 29:11] Lord, Dismiss Us With Thy Blessing
Lord, dismiss us with Thy blessing;
Fill our hearts with joy and peace;
Let us each Thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us, O refresh us,
Traveling through this wilderness.Thanks we give and adoration
For Thy Gospel’s joyful sound;
May the fruits of Thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound.
Ever faithful, ever faithful,
To the truth may we be found.So that when Thy love shall call us,
Savior, from the world away,
Let no fear of death appall us,
Glad Thy summons to obey.
May we ever, may we ever,
Reign with Thee in endless day.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 29:11] When This Song Of Praise Shall Cease
When this song of praise shall cease,
Let Thy children, Lord, depart
With the blessing of Thy peace,
And Thy love in every heart.O where’er our path may lie,
Father, let us not forget
That we walk beneath Thine eye,
That Thy care upholds us yet.Blind are we, and weak, and frail;
Be Thine aid forever near;
May the fear to sin prevail
Over every other fear.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 29:11] Wonderful Peace (cornell)
Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;
In celestial strains it unceasingly falls
O’er my soul like an infinite calm.Refrain
Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,
Buried deep in the heart of my soul,
So secure that no power can mine it away,
While the years of eternity roll!Refrain
I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,
Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control;
For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day,
And His glory is flooding my soul!Refrain
And I think when I rise to that city of peace,
Where the Anchor of peace I shall see,
That one strain of the song which the ransomed will sing
In that heavenly kingdom will be:Refrain
Ah, soul! are you here without comfort and rest,
Marching down the rough pathway of time?
Make Jesus your Friend ere the shadows grow dark;
O accept of this peace so sublime!Refrain

Psalms 30:4

[Psa 30:4] Carol, Carol, Christians
Carol, carol, Christians,
Carol joyfully;
Carol for the coming of Christ’s nativity;
And pray a gladsome Christmas,
For all good Christian men.
Carol, carol, Christians,
For Christmas has come again.
Carol, carol.Go ye to the forest,
Where the myrtles grow,
Where the pine and laurel
Bend beneath the snow:
Gather them for Jesus;
Wreathe them for His shrine;
Make His temple glorious
With the box and pine.
Carol, carol.Wreathe your Christmas garland,
Where to Christ we pray;
It shall smell like Carmel
On our festal day;
Libanus and Sharon
Shall not greener be,
Than our holy chancel
On Christ’s nativity.
Carol, carol.Carol, carol, Christians,
Like the Magi now,
Ye must lade your caskets
With a grateful vow:
Ye must have sweet incense,
Myrrh, and finest gold,
At our Christmas altar,
Humbly to unfold.
Carol, carol.Blow, blow up the trumpet,
For our solemn feast,
Gird thine armor, Christian;
Wear thy vesture, priest!
Go ye to the altar;
Pray, with fervor, pray,
For Jesus’ second coming,
And the latter day.
Carol, carol.Give us grace, O Savior,
To put off in might
Deeds and dreams of darkness,
For the robes of light!
And to live as lowly
As Thyself with men;
So to rise in glory
When Thou com’st again.
Carol, carol.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 30:4] From All Thy Saints In Warfare
From all Thy saints in warfare, for all Thy saints at rest,
To Thee, O blessèd Jesus, all praises be addressed;
Thou, Lord, didst win the battle, that they might conquerors be;
Their crowns of living glory are lit with rays from Thee.Praise, Lord, for Thine apostle, the first to welcome Thee,
The first to lead his brother the very Christ to see.
With hearts for Thee made ready, watch we throughout the year,
Forward to lead our brethren to own Thine Advent near.All praise for Thine apostle, whose short lived doubtings prove
Thy perfect twofold nature, the fullness of Thy love.
On all who wait Thy coming shed forth Thy peace, O Lord,
And grant us faith to know Thee, true Man, true God, adored.Praise for the first of martyrs, who saw Thee ready stand
To aid in midst of torments, to plead at God’s right hand.
Share we with him, if summoned by death our Lord to own,
On earth the faithful witness, in heaven the martyr’s crown.Praise for the loved disciple, exiled on Patmos’ shore;
Praise for the faithful record he to Thy Godhead bore,
Praise for the mystic vision through him to us revealed.
May we, in patience waiting, with Thine elect be sealed.Praise for Thine infant martyrs, by Thee with tenderest love
Called early from the warfare to share the rest above.
O Rachel! cease thy weeping: they rest from pains and cares.
Lord, grant us hearts as guileless and crowns as bright as theirs.Praise for the light from heaven, praise for the voice of awe,
Praise for the glorious vision the persecutor saw.
Thee, Lord, for his conversion, we glorify today;
So lighten all our darkness with Thy true Spirit’s ray.Lord, Thine abiding presence directs the wondrous choice
For one in place of Judas the faithful now rejoice.
Thy Church from false apostles forevermore defend,
And by Thy parting promise be with her to the end.For him, O Lord, we praise Thee, the weak by grace made strong,
Whose labors and whose Gospel enrich our triumph song.
May we in all our weakness find strength from Thee supplied,
And all, as fruitful branches, in Thee, the Vine, abide.All praise for Thine apostle, blest guide to Greek and Jew,
And him surnamed Thy brother; keep us Thy brethren true,
And grant us grace to know Thee, the Way, the Truth, the Life;
To wrestle with temptations still victors in the strife.The son of consolation, moved by Thy law of love,
Forsaking earthly treasures, sought riches from above.
As earth now teems with increase, let gifts of grace descend,
That Thy true consolations may through the world extend.We praise Thee for the Baptist, forerunner of the Word,
Our true Elias, making a highway for the Lord.
Of prophets last and greatest, we saw Thy dawning ray:
Make us the rather blessèd who love Thy glorious day.Praise for thy great apostle, the eager and the bold;
Thrice falling, yet repentant, thrice charged to keep Thy fold.
Lord, make Thy pastors faithful to guard their flocks from ill,
And grant them dauntless courage, with humble, earnest will.For him, O Lord, we praise Thee, who, slain by Herod’s sword
Drank of Thy cup of suffering, fulfilling thus Thy word.
Curb we all vain impatience to read Thy veiled decree,
And count it joy to suffer, if so brought nearer Thee.All praise for Thine apostle, the faithful, pure, and true,
Whom underneath the fig tree Thine eye all seeing knew.
Like him may we be guileless, true Israelites indeed,
That Thy abiding presence our longing souls may feed.Praise, Lord, for Him whose Gospel Thy human life declared,
Who, worldly gains forsaking, Thy path of suffering shared.
From all unrighteous Mammon O give us hearts set free,
That we, whate’er our calling, may rise and follow Thee.For that “beloved Physician,” all praise, whose Gospel shows
The Healer of the nations, The Sharer of our woes.
Thy wine and oil, O Savior, and bruised hearts deign to pour,
And with true balm of Gilead anoint us evermore.Praise, Lord, for Thine apostles, who sealed their faith today:
One love, one zeal impelled them to tread the sacred way.
May we with zeal as earnest the faith of Christ maintain,
And, bound in love as brethren, at length Thy rest attain.Apostles, prophets, martyrs, and all the sacred throng,
Who wear the spotless raiment, who raise the ceaseless song,
For these, passed on before us, Savior, we Thee adore,
And, walking in their footsteps, would serve Thee more and more.Then praise we God the Father, and praise we God the Son,
And God the Holy Spirit, eternal Three in One;
Till all the ransomed number fall down before the throne,
And honor, power, and glory, ascribe to God alone.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 30:4] We Praise Thee, O God, Our Redeemer, Creator
We praise Thee, O God, our Redeemer, Creator,
In grateful devotion our tribute we bring;
We lay it before Thee, we kneel and adore Thee,
We bless Thy holy Name, glad praises we sing.We worship Thee, God of our fathers, we bless Thee;
Through life’s storm and tempest our guide have Thou been;
When perils overtake us, escape Thou will make us,
And with Thy help, O Lord, our battles we win.With voices united our praises we offer,
To Thee, great Jehovah, glad anthems we raise.
Thy strong arm will guide us, our God is beside us,
To Thee, our great Redeemer, forever be praise.Thy love Thou didst show us, Thine only Son sending,
Who came as a Babe and Whose bed was a stall,
His blest life He gave us and then died to save us;
We praise Thee, O Lord, for Thy gift to us all.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 103:18-19
-
[Psa 103:19] In The Heav’ns The Lord Almighty
In the heav’ns the Lord Almighty
Fixed His everlasting throne;
Over all his His dominion,
He is God and He alone.Bless the Lord, ye mighty angels,
Ye that hearken to His voice,
All His gracious word fulfilling,
Ever bless Him and rejoice.Bless the Lord, all ye His servants,
Ministers of God Most High;
Ye His hosts, that do His pleasure,
God your Maker glorify.Bless the Lord, all things created;
Be His holy Name adored
All throughout His wide dominion;
O my soul, bless thou the Lord.source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 105:1
-
[Psa 105:1] O Praise The Lord, His Deeds Make Known
O praise the Lord, His deeds make known,
And call upon His Name;
Sing ye to Him, His praises sing,
His wondrous works proclaim.
Let hearts rejoice that seek the Lord,
His holy Name adore;
Seek ye Jehovah and His strength,
Seek Him forevermore.Ye children of God’s covenant,
Who of His grace have heard,
Forget not all His wondrous deeds
And judgments of His Word.
The Lord our God is God alone,
All lands His judgments know;
His promise He remembers still,
While generations go.While yet our fathers were but few,
Sojourners in the land,
He sware that Canaan should be theirs,
And made His covenant stand.
He suffered none to do them wrong
In all their pilgrim way;
Yea, for their sake were kings reproved
And covered with dismay.His stern command restrained their foes
And filled them with alarm;
“Touch not Mine own anointed ones,
Nor do My prophets harm.”
He wholly broke the staff of bread
And called for famine sore,
And He prepared His people’s way
By sending one before.Then Joseph, sold to slavery,
With cruel chains was bound;
Till his prediction came to pass,
Distress and grief he found.
The king released him from his bonds
And made him rule the land,
Subjecting chiefs and senators
To his controlling hand.To Egypt Israel followed then,
And there grew great and strong,
Until their friends became their foes
And did them grievous wrong.
God sent His servant Moses then,
And Aaron, whom He chose;
Great signs and wonders they displayed
To terrify their foes.In darkness they were taught to fear
God’s great and holy Name;
On man and beast, on vine and field,
His awful judgment came.
He smote the first-born in the land,
The chief of all their strength,
Enriched His people with the spoil
And brought them forth at length.He led them forth in health and strength,
None weak in all their band,
And Egypt, filled with fear, rejoiced
To see them leave the land.
He spread a cloud to cover them,
Most glorious and bright,
And made a fiery pillar shine
To give them light by night.At their request He sent them quails,
And bread of Heav’n bestowed;
And from the rock, to quench their thirst,
The living waters flowed.
His sacred word to Abraham
He kept, though waiting long,
And brought His chosen people forth
With joy and thankful song.The lands and toil of wicked men
He gave them to possess,
That they might keep His holy laws,
Jehovah praise and bless.
Let hearts rejoice that seek the Lord,
His holy Name adore;
Seek ye Jehovah and His strength,
Seek Him forevermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 105:43
-
[Psa 105:43] O Thou Whose Hand Hath Brought Us
O Thou Whose hand hath brought us
Unto this joyful day,
Accept our glad thanksgiving,
And listen as we pray;
And may our preparation
For this day’s service be
With one accord to offer
Ourselves, O Lord, to Thee.For this Thy house we praise Thee,
Reared at Thine own command,
For every generous spirit,
And every willing hand;
And now within Thy temple
Thy glory let us see,
For all its strength and beauty
Are nothing without Thee.And oft as here we gather,
And hearts in worship blend,
May truth reveal its power,
And fervent prayers ascend;
Here may the busy toiler
Rise to the things above;
The young, the old, be strengthened,
And all men learn Thy love.And as the years roll onward,
And strong affections twine,
And tender mem’ries gather
About this sacred shrine,
May this its chief distinction,
Its glory, ever be,
That multitudes within it
Have found their way to Thee.Lord God, our fathers’ helper,
Our joy, and hope and stay:
Grant now a gracious earnest
Of many a coming day.
Our yearning hearts Thou knowest;
We wait before Thy throne:
O come, and by Thy presence
Make this new house Thine own.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 136:15-16
-
[Psa 136:16] O Praise Our Great And Gracious Lord
O praise our great and gracious Lord,
And call upon His Name;
To strains of joy tune every chord,
His mighty acts proclaim;
Tell how He led His chosen race
To Canaan’s promised land;
Tell how His covenant of grace
Unchanged shall ever stand.He gave the shadowing cloud by day,
The moving fire by night;
To guide His Israel on their way,
He made their darkness light;
And have we not a sure retreat,
A Savior ever nigh,
The same clear light to guide our feet,
The Dayspring from on high?We, too, have manna from above,
The Bread that came from Heav’n;
To us the same kind hand of love
Hath living waters giv’n;
A Rock have we, from whence the spring
In rich abundance flows;
The Rock is Christ, our Priest, our King,
Who life and health bestows.O may we praise this blessèd Food,
And trust our heavenly Guide;
So shall we find death’s fearful flood
Serene as Jordan’s tide,
And safely reach that happy shore,
The land of peace and rest,
Where angels worship and adore
In God’s own presence blest.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 148:2
-
[Psa 148:2] Meet And Right It Is To Sing
Meet and right it is to sing
In every time and place,
Glory to our heavenly King,
The God of truth and grace:
Join we then with sweet accord,
All in one thanksgiving join,
Holy, holy, holy Lord
Eternal praise be Thine!Thee, the first-born sons of light,
In choral symphonies,
Praise by day, day without night,
And never, never cease:
Angels and archangels all
Praise the mystic Three in One;
Sing, and stop, and gaze, and fall
O’erwhelmed before Thy throne.Vying with that happy choir,
Who chant Thy praise above,
We on eagles’ wings aspire,
The wings of faith and love;
Thee they sing with glory crowned,
We extol the slaughtered Lamb;
Lower if our voices sound,
Our subject is the same.Father God, Thy love we praise,
Which gave Thy Son to die;
Jesus, full of truth and grace,
Alike we glorify;
Spirit, Comforter divine,
Praise by all to Thee be given;
Till we in full chorus join,
And earth is turned to Heaven.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 148:2] O Thou To Whom Archangels Raise
O Thou to Whom archangels raise
A ceaseless song of perfect praise,
Yet tremble as they sing;
To us incline Thy gracious ear,
And while, with reverence, we draw near,
Accept the praise we bring.In vain with all the angel choir,
The ransomed hosts of Heav’n aspire
Thy glory to proclaim;
How then shall we approach Thy throne?
How make Thy countless mercies known,
Or sing Thine awful Name?Thy love alone our stay hath been,
In every dark and changing scene
Throughout the circling year;
Preserved by Thine almighty hand,
Again before Thy face we stand,
And sing Thy goodness here.Father, for Jesus’ sake receive
The praise which now we gladly give,
Though with a stammering tongue;
Grant us at length to see Thy face,
And join with all the ransomed race
In Heav’n’s eternal song.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 150:2
-
[Psa 150:2] Infinite Excellence Is Thine
Infinite excellence Is Thine
Thou lovely Prince of grace!
Thy uncreated beauties shine
With never-fading rays.Sinners from earth’s remotest end
Come bending at Thy feet;
To Thee their prayers and vows ascend;
In Thee their wishes meet.Thy Name as precious ointment shed,
Delights the church around;
Sweetly the sacred odor spreads
Through all Immanuel’s ground.Millions of happy spirits live
On Thy exhaustless store;
From Thee they all their bliss receive,
And still Thou givest more.Thou are their triumph and their joy,
They find their all in Thee;
Thy glories will their tongues employ
To all eternity.Play source: Cyberhymnal
