Psalms 102:7

Context

102:7 I stay awake; 2

I am like a solitary bird on a roof.

Psalms 119:101

Context

119:101 I stay away 3  from the evil path,

so that I might keep your instructions. 4

1 tn Heb “Will your anger stretch to a generation and a generation?”

2 tn This probably refers to the psalmist’s inability to sleep. Another option is to translate, “I keep watch,” in which case it might refer to watching for a response from the Lord (see vv. 1-2).

3 tn Heb “I hold back my feet.”

4 tn Heb “your word.” Many medieval Hebrew mss read the plural.
