Psalms 51:7
-
[Psa 51:7] Come, Let Us To The Lord Our God
Come, let us to the Lord our God
With contrite hearts return;
Our God is gracious, nor will leave
The desolate to mourn.His voice commands the tempest forth
And stills the stormy wave;
And though His arm be strong to smite,
’Tis also strong to save.Long hath the night of sorrow reigned,
The dawn shall bring us light;
God shall appear, and we shall rise
With gladness in His sight.Our hearts, if God we seek to know,
Shall know Him, and rejoice;
His coming like the morn shall be,
Like morning songs His voice.As dew upon the tender herb
Diffusing fragrance round,
As show’rs that usher in the spring,
And cheer the thirsty ground.So shall His presence bless our souls,
And shed a joyful light;
That hallowed morn shall chase away
The sorrows of the night.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 51:7] Fountain Of Purity
Fountain of purity opened for sin
Here may the penitent wash and be clean;
Jesus, Thou blessèd Redeemer from woe,
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Whiter than snow, whiter than snow,
Wash me, Redeemer,
And I shall be whiter than snow.Though I have labored again and again,
All my self-cleansing is utterly vain;
Jesus, Redeemer from sorrow and woe,
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Cleanse Thou the thoughts of my heart, I implore,
Help me Thy light to reflect more and more;
Daily in loving obedience to grow,
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Whiter than snow! nothing further I need,
Christ is the Fountain; this only I plead;
Jesus, my Savior, to Thee will I go,
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain

[Psa 51:7] Lord Will Happiness Divine, The
The Lord will happiness divine
On contrite hearts bestow;
Then tell me, gracious God, is mine
A contrite heart or no?I hear, but seem to hear in vain,
Insensible as steel;
If aught is felt, ’tis only pain,
To find I cannot feel.I sometimes think myself inclined
To love Thee if I could;
But often feel another mind,
Averse to all that’s good.My best desires are faint and few,
I fain would strive for more;
But when I cry, “My strength renew!”
Seem weaker than before.Thy saints are comforted, I know,
And love Thy house of prayer;
I therefore go where others go,
But find no comfort there.Oh make this heart rejoice, or ache;
Decide this doubt for me;
And if it be not broken, break,
And heal it, if it be.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 51:7] Old-fashioned Way, The
They call me old-fashioned because I believe
That the Bible is God’s holy Word,
That Jesus, who lived among men long ago,
Is divine, and the Christ of God.Refrain
My sin was old-fashioned,
My guilt was old-fashioned,
God’s love was old-fashioned, I know;
And the way I was saved was the old-fashioned way,
Through the blood that makes whiter than snow.Old-fashioned, because I believe and accept
Only what has been spoken from Heav’n;
Old-fashioned because at the cross I was saved,
At the cross had my sins forgiv’n.Refrain
Old-fashioned, because I am bound to do right,
To walk in the straight narrow way;
Because I have given my whole life to God,
Old-fashioned because I pray.Refrain
Old-fashioned, because I am looking above
To Jesus, my glorified Lord;
Because I believe He is coming again,
Fulfilling His holy Word.Refrain

[Psa 51:7] Whiter Than Snow
Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
Break down every idol, cast out every foe;
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow.
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Lord Jesus, let nothing unholy remain,
Apply Thine own blood and extract ev’ry stain;
To get this blest cleansing, I all things forego—
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies,
And help me to make a complete sacrifice.
I give up myself, and whatever I know,
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat,
I wait, blessèd Lord, at Thy crucified feet.
By faith, for my cleansing, I see Thy blood flow,
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
Lord Jesus, Thou seest I patiently wait,
Come now, and within me a new heart create;
To those who have sought Thee, Thou never saidst “No,”
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.Refrain
The blessing by faith, I receive from above;
O glory! my soul is made perfect in love;
My prayer has prevailed, and this moment I know,
The blood is applied, I am whiter than snow.Refrain

Psalms 73:1
-
[Psa 73:1] O God, How Good Thou Art
O God, how good Thou art
To all the pure of heart,
Though life seems vain.
Burdened with anxious care,
I groped in dark despair,
Till in Thy house of prayer,
All was made plain.Ever, O Lord, with Thee,
All shall be well with me,
Held by Thy hand.
And Thou wilt guide my feet
By Thine own counsel sweet,
Till I, for glory meet,
In glory stand.In earth or Heaven above
Who is there that I love
Compared with Thee?
My heart may faint with fears,
But God my strength appears,
And will to endless years
My portion be.O it is good that I
May still to God draw nigh,
As oft before.
The Lord Jehovah blessed,
My refuge and my rest,
Shall be in praised confessed
Forevermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 119:9
-
[Psa 119:9] Bible, The
The Bible! the Bible! more precious than gold,
The hopes and the glories its pages unfold;
It speaks of a Savior, and tells of His love;
It shows us the way to the mansions above,
It shows us the way to the mansions above.The Bible! the Bible! blest volume of truth,
How sweetly it smiles on the season of youth!
It bids us seek early the pearl of great price,
Ere th’heart is enslaved in the bondage of vice,
Ere th’heart is enslaved in the bondage of vice.The Bible! the Bible! we hail it with joy,
Its truths and its glories our tongues shall employ;
We’ll sing of its triumphs, we’ll sing of its worth,
And send its glad tidings afar o’er the earth,
And send its glad tidings afar o’er the earth.The Bible! the Bible! the valleys shall ring,
And hilltops re-echo the notes that we sing;
Our banners inscribed with its precepts and rules
Shall long wave in triumph, the joy of our schools,
Shall long wave in triumph, the joy of our schools.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 119:9] How, Can I, Lord, Keep My Way Pure?
How can I, Lord, keep my way pure?
To Your Word I must be true.
So I seek You with my whole heart;
Do not let me stray from You.Your Word’s hidden in my heart, Lord,
That I might not go astray.
Praise to You, O Lord, my Father;
Teach me Your decrees each day.With my lips I recount gladly
All the laws You’ve giv’n to man.
I rejoice in all Your statutes,
As in wealth too vast to scan.Meditating on Your precepts,
I consider all Your ways.
I delight in Your decrees, Lord;
I will never turn away.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 119:9] How Shall The Young Direct Their Way?
How shall the young direct their way?
What light shall be their perfect guide?
Thy Word, O Lord, will safely lead,
If in its wisdom they confide.
Sincerely I have sought Thee, Lord,
O let me not from Thee depart;
To know Thy will and keep from sin
Thy Word I cherish in my heart.O blessèd Lord, teach me Thy law,
Thy righteous judgments I declare;
Thy testimonies make me glad,
For they are wealth beyond compare.
Upon Thy precepts and Thy ways
My heart will meditate with awe;
Thy Word shall be my chief delight,
And I will not forget Thy law.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 119:9] How Shall The Young Secure Their Hearts
How shall the young secure their hearts
And guard their lives from sin?
Thy Word the choicest rules imparts
To keep the conscience clean.When once it enters to the mind,
It spreads such light abroad,
The meanest souls instruction find,
And raise their thoughts to God.’Tis, like the sun, a heav’nly light
That guides us all the day,
And through the dangers of the night
A lamp to lead our way.The men that keep Thy law with care,
And meditate Thy Word,
Grow wiser than their teachers are,
And better know the Lord.Thy precepts make me truly wise:
I hate the sinner’s road;
I hate my own vain thoughts that rise,
But love Thy law, my God.The starry heav’ns Thy rule obey,
The earth maintains her place;
And these Thy servants, night and day,
Thy skill and power express.But still Thy law and Gospel, Lord,
Have lessons more divine;
Not earth stands firmer than Thy Word,
Nor stars so nobly shine.Thy Word is everlasting truth;
How pure is every page!
That holy Book shall guide our youth
And well support our age.Play source: Cyberhymnal
