Psalms 27:6
-
[Psa 27:6] I Will Sing My Maker’s Praises
I will sing my Maker’s praises and in Him most joyful be,
For in all things I see traces of His tender love to me.
Nothing else than love could move Him with such sweet and tender care
Evermore to raise and bear all who try to serve and love Him.
All things else have but their day, God’s great love abides for aye.Yea, so dear did He esteem me that His Son he loved so well
He hath given to redeem me from the quenchless flames of hell.
O Thou Spring of boundless blessing, how could e’er my feeble mind
Of Thy depth the bottom find though my efforts were unceasing?
All things else have but their day, God’s great love abides for aye.All that for my soul is needful He with loving care provides,
Nor of that is He unheedful which my body needs besides.
When my strength cannot avail me, when my powers can do no more,
Doth my God His strength outpour; in my need He doth not fail me.
All things else have but their day, God’s great love abides for aye.When I sleep, He still is near me, o’er me rests His guardian eye;
And new gifts and blessings cheer me when the morning streaks the sky.
Were it not for God’s protection, had His countenance not been
Here my guide, I had not seen e’er the end of my affliction.
All things else have but their day, God’s great love abides for aye.As a father never turneth wholly from a wayward child,
For the prodigal still yearneth, longing to be reconciled,
So my many sins and errors find a tender, pardoning God,
Chastening frailty with His rod, not, in vengeance, with His terrors.
All things else have but their day, God’s great love abides for aye.Since, then, neither change nor coldness, in my Father’s love can be,
Lo! I lift my hands with boldness, as Thy child I come to Thee.
Grant me grace, O God, I pray Thee, that I may with all my might,
All my lifetime, day and night, love and trust Thee and obey Thee
And, when this brief life is o’er, praise and love Thee evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 27:6] Sing Always
Sing with a tuneful spirit,
Sing with a cheerful lay,
Praise to thy great Creator,
While on the pilgrim way.
Sing when the birds are waking,
Sing with the morning light;
Sing in the noontide’s golden beam,
Sing in the hush of night.Sing when the heart is troubled,
Sing when the hours are long,
Sing when the storm cloud gathers;
Sweet is the voice of song.
Sing when the sky is darkest,
Sing when the thunders roll;
Sing of a land where rest remains,
Rest for the weary soul.Sing in the vale of shadows,
Sing in the hour of death,
And when the eyes are closing,
Sing with the latest breath.
Sing till the heart’s deep longings
Cease on the other shore;
Then with the countless numbers there,
Sing on, forever more!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 59:16
-
[Psa 59:16] God Of Love And God Of Power
God of love and God of power,
Grant us in this burning hour
Grace to ask these gifts of Thee,
Daring hearts and spirits free.Refrain
God of love and God of power,
Thou hast called us for this hour.We are not the first to be
Banished by our fears from Thee;
Give us courage, let us hear
Heaven’s trumpets ringing clear.Refrain
All our lives belong to Thee,
Thou our final loyalty;
Slaves are we whene’er we share
That devotion anywhere.Refrain
God of love and God of power,
Make us worthy of this hour,
Offering lives if it’s Thy will,
Keeping free our spirits still.Refrain

[Psa 59:16] Lord, While Afar Our Brothers Fight
Lord, while afar our brothers fight,
Thy Church united lifts her prayer;
Be Thou their Shield by day and night;
Guide, guard, and help them everywhere:
O God of battles, hear our cry,
And in their danger be Thou nigh.For those who, wounded in the fray,
Are ling’ring still on beds of pain,
Who to their loved ones far away
May nevermore return again,
O God of pity, hear our cry,
And in their anguish be Thou nigh.For wives and mothers sore distressed,
For all who wait in silent fear,
For homes bereaved which gave their best,
For hearts now desolate and drear,
O God of comfort, hear our cry,
And in the darkest hour draw nigh.Spare us, good Lord! If just the strife,
Yet still from guilt we are not free;
Forgive our blind and careless life,
Our oft forgetfulness of Thee.
O God of mercy, hear our cry,
And to our contrite souls draw nigh.We bow beneath the chastening rod,
To us the sin and shame belong,
But Thou art righteous, Thou art God,
And right shall triumph over wrong.
In Thee we trust, to Thee we cry;
Lord, now and ever be Thou nigh.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 59:16] O Thou Who Turnest Into Morning
O Thou who turnest into morning
The shadows of the passing night,
Again to conscious life returning,
We bless Thee for the newborn light.Grant us that light, to all unfailing
Who seek to do Thy perfect will,
That we, o’er doubt and fear prevailing,
May trust Thy good above all ill;That we may offer Thee thanksgiving
Beyond our prayers and songs that rise
In greater faithfulness of living,
In deeper love through sacrifice.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 84:1
-
[Psa 84:1] How Dear To Me, O Lord Of Hosts
How dear to me, O Lord of Hosts,
The place where Thou dost dwell;
The tabernacles of Thy grace
In pleasantness excel.My spirit longs, yea, even faints,
Thy sacred courts to see;
My thirsting heart and flesh cry out,
O living God, for Thee.Beneath Thy care the sparrow finds
A place of peaceful rest;
Where she may safely lay her young
The swallow finds a nest.Then, Lord of Hosts, my King, my God,
Thy love will shelter me;
Beneath Thy altar’s peaceful shade
My dwelling place shall be.Blest they who dwell within Thy house,
Their perfect strength Thou art;
Their joyful praise shall never cease,
Thy ways are in their heart.Their tears of grief, like early rain,
Sweet springs of joy shall fill;
With strength renewed they journey safe
To Zion’s holy hill.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:1] How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings Fair
How lovely are Thy dwellings fair,
O Lord of hosts; how dear
The pleasant tabernacles are
Where Thou dost dwell so near!Happy, who in Thy house reside,
Where Thee they ever praise!
Happy, whose strength in Thee doth bide,
And in their hearts Thy ways!They journey on from strength to strength
With joy and gladsome cheer,
Till all before our God at length
In Zion doth appear.Lord God of hosts that reign’st on high,
That man is truly blest
Who only on Thee doth rely,
And in Thee only rest.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:1] How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place
How lovely is Thy dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts to me!
The tabernacles of Thy grace
How pleasant, Lord, they be!My thirsty soul longs ardently,
Yes, faints Thy courts to see;
My very heart and flesh cry out,
O living God, for Thee.Behold the sparrow findeth out
A house wherein to rest;
The swallow also, for herself,
Provided hath a nest.Ee’n Thine own altars, where she safe
Her young ones forth may bring,
O Thou, almighty Lord of hosts,
Who art my God and King.Blest are they in Thy house that dwell,
They ever give Thee praise,
Blest is the man whose strength Thou art,
In whose heart are Thy ways.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:1] Lord Of The Worlds Above
Lord of the worlds above, how pleasant and how fair
The dwellings of Thy love, Thine earthly temples are!
To Thine abode, my heart aspires with warm desires
To see my God.The sparrow for her young with pleasure seeks a nest,
And wand’ring swallows long to find their wonted rest:
My spirit faints With equal zeal to rise and dwell
Among thy saints.O happy souls that pray where God appoints to hear!
O happy men that pay their constant service there!
They praise Thee still; and happy they that love the way
To Zion’s hill.They go from strength to strength, through this dark vale of tears,
Till each arrives at length, till each in heaven appears;
O glorious seat, when God, our King, shall thither bring
Our willing feet!To spend one sacred day where God and saints abide,
Affords diviner joy than thousand days beside:
Where God resorts, I love it more to keep the door
Than shine in courts.God is our Sun and Shield, our Light and our Defense;
With gifts His hands are filled; we draw our blessings thence.
He shall bestow on Jacob’s race peculiar grace
And glory too.The Lord his people loves; His hand no good withholds
From those his heart approves, From pure and pious souls:
Thrice happy he, O God of hosts, whose spirit trusts
Alone in Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:1] O God Of Hosts, The Mighty Lord
O God of hosts, the mighty Lord,
How lovely is the place
Where Thou, enthroned in glory, show’st,
The brightness of Thy face.O Lord of hosts, my King and God,
How highly blest are they
Who in Thy temple always dwell,
And there Thy praise display.Thrice happy they whose choice has Thee
Their sure protection made;
Who long to tread the sacred ways
That to Thy dwelling lead.For in Thy courts one single day
’Tis better to attend,
Than, Lord, in any place besides
A thousand days to spend.For God, who is our Sun and Shield,
Will grace and glory give;
And no good thing will He withhold
From them that justly live.Thou God, whom heav’nly host obey,
How highly blest is he
Whose hope and trust, securely placed,
Is still reposed on Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 84:1] O Lord Of Hosts, How Lovely
O Lord of hosts, how lovely the place where Thou dost dwell!
Thy tabernacles holy in pleasantness excel.
My soul is longing, fainting, Jehovah’s courts to see;
My heart and flesh are crying, O living God for Thee.Behold the sparrow findeth a house in which to rest,
The swallow has discovered where she may build her nest;
And where, securely sheltered, her young she forth may bring;
So Lord of hosts, Thine altars I seek, my God, my King.Blest who Thy house inhabit, they ever give Thee praise.
Blest all whom Thou dost strengthen, who love the sacred ways.
Who pass through Baca’s valley, and make in it a well;
There rains in shower abundant the pools with water fill.So they from strength unwearied go forward unto strength,
Till they appear in Zion, before the Lord at length.
O hear, Lord God of Jacob, to me an answer yield;
The face of Thine anointed, behold, O God, our Shield.One day excels a thousand, if spent Thy courts within;
I’ll chose Thy threshold rather than dwell in tents of sin.
Our Sun and Shield Jehovah, will grace and glory give;
No good will He deny them that uprightly do live.Play source: Cyberhymnal
