Psalms 5:8
-
[Psa 5:8] Jesus, Still Lead On
Jesus, still lead on, till our rest be won,
And, although the way be cheerless,
We will follow calm and fearless,
Guide us by Thy hand to our fatherland.If the way be drear, if the foe be near,
Let no faithless fears o’ertake us,
Let not faith and hope forsake us,
For through many a woe to our home we go.When we seek relief from a long felt grief;
When temptations come alluring,
Make us patient and enduring;
Show us that bright shore where we weep no more.Jesus, still lead on, till our rest be won;
Heavenly Leader, still direct us,
Still support, control, protect us,
Till we safely stand in our fatherland.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 5:8] Lead Me, Savior
Savior, lead me, lest I stray,
Gently lead me all the way;
I am safe when by Thy side,
I would in Thy love abide.Refrain
Lead me, lead me, Savior, lead me lest I stray;
Gently down the stream of time,
Lead me, Savior, all the way.Thou the refuge of my soul
When life’s stormy billows roll;
I am safe when Thou art nigh,
All my hopes on Thee rely.Refrain
Savior, lead me, then at last,
When the storm of life is past,
To the land of endless day,
Where all tears are wiped away.Refrain

Psalms 8:2-3
-
[Psa 8:2] Hosanna! Be The Children’s Song
Hosanna! be the children’s song,
To Christ, the children’s King;
His praise, to whom our souls belong,
Let all the children sing.Hoasnna! sound from hill to hill,
And spread from plain to plain,
While louder, sweeter, clearer still,
Woods echo to the strain.Hosanna! on the wings of light
O’er earth and ocean fly,
Till morn to eve, and noon to night,
And Heaven to earth, reply.Hosanna! then, our song shall be;
Hosanna to our King!
This is the children’s jubilee;
Let all the children sing.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 8:3] O Thou, To Whom All Creatures Bow
O Thou, to Whom all creatures bow
Within this earthly frame,
Thro’ all the world, how great art Thou!
How glorious is Thy Name!When Heav’n, Thy beauteous work on high,
Employs my wondering sight;
The moon that nightly rules the sky,
With stars of feebler light;Lord, what is man, that Thou shouldst deign
To bear him in Thy mind!
Or what his race, that Thou shouldst prove
To them so wondrous kind!O Thou, to Whom all creatures bow
Within this earthly frame,
Thro’ all the world, how great art Thou!
How glorious is Thy Name!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 16:11
-
[Psa 16:11] All Will Be Well
Only Thy presence, O Savior divine,
Only Thy Spirit to witness with mine;
Only Thine image of love on my breast,
Seal of forgiveness, assurance of rest.Refrain
What tho’ the billows like mountains may swell;
All will be well; yes, all will be well;
Under Thy shadow in peace I shall dwell;
All, all will be well.Only Thy presence to lead me aright,
Out of the darkness and into the light;
Only a whisper to tell Thou art near,
Only Thy sunshine to banish my fear.Refrain
Only Thy presence when trials I bear,
Lifting so gently my burden of care;
Only Thy presence to show me the way,
Home to the mansions of infinite day.Refrain
Only Thy presence when wild is the gale,
Only Thy presence when rent is my sail;
Only Thy presence my vessel to guide
Into the harbor and over the tide.Refrain

[Psa 16:11] My God, I Am Thine
My God, I am Thine, what a comfort divine,
What a blessing to know that my Jesus is mine!
In the heavenly Lamb thrice happy I am,
And my heart it doth dance at the sound of His Name.True pleasures abound in the rapturous sound;
And whoever hath found it hath paradise found:
My Jesus to know, and feel His blood flow,
’Tis life everlasting, ’tis Heaven below.Yet onward I haste to the heavenly feast:
That, that is the fulness; but this is the taste!
And this I shall prove, till with joy I remove
To the heaven of heavens in Jesus’ love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] Only God Can Bring Us Gladness
Only God can bring us gladness,
Only God can give us peace;
Joys are vain that end in sadness,
Joy divine shall never cease.
Mid the shade of want and sorrow
Undisturbed, our hearts rejoice;
Patient, wait the brighter morrow;
Faithful, heed the Father’s voice.As the stars in order going,
All-harmonious, He doth move;
Heavenly calm and comfort showing,
Comes the healing word of love.
Who the word of wisdom heareth
Feels the Father Love within,
Where as dawn the shadow cleareth,
Love outshines the night of sin.So we find the true atonement,
Know in God the perfect Friend;
For in love is our atonement,
Where all hearts in Him may blend.
Here from prisoning pain and sorrow
Have we all a sure release,
Only God can bring us gladness,
Only God can give us peace.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] All The Day
All the day my heart is singing,
Not a throb of care I know,
For the Master’s feet have trodden
Every path He bids me go.Refrain
In the Lord is all my joy,
Blessèd Savior, Friend divine!
Glad the songs my heart has known,
Since this Jesus has been mine.Thro’ the night my heart keeps singing,
Sheltered in His secret place,
Midnight is as bright as noonday,
By the glory of His face.Refrain
When I reach that land of promise,
Sweeter strains my lips shall frame,
But the theme will still be Jesus,
Glory! glory! to His Name!Refrain

[Psa 16:11] All Things In Jesus
Friends all around me are trying to find
What the heart yearns for, by sin undermined;
I have the secret, I know where ’tis found:
Only true pleasures in Jesus abound.Refrain
All that I want is in Jesus.
He satisfies, joy He supplies;
Life would be worthless without Him;
All things in Jesus I find.Some carry burdens whose weight has for years
Crushed them with sorrow and blinded with tears.
Yet One stands ready to help them just now,
If they will humbly in penitence bow.Refrain
No other name thrills the joy chords within,
And through none else is remission of sin.
He knows the pain of the heart sorely tried.
Both need and want will by Him be supplied.Refrain
Jesus is all this poor world needs today.
Blindly they strive, for sin darkens their way.
O to draw back the grim curtains of night,
One glimpse of Jesus and all will be bright!Refrain

[Psa 16:11] Bright Forever, The
Breaking through the clouds that gather,
O’er the Christian’s natal skies,
Distant beams, like floods of glory,
Fill the soul with glad surprise;
And we almost hear the echo
Of the pure and holy throng,
In the bright, the bright forever,
In the summer land of song.Refrain
On the banks beyond the river
We shall meet, no more to sever;
In the bright, the bright forever,
In the summer land of song.Yet a little while we linger,
Ere we reach our journey’s end;
Yet a little while of labor,
Ere the evening shades descend;
Then we’ll lay us down to slumber,
But the night will soon be o’er;
In the bright, the bright forever,
We shall wake, to weep no more.Refrain
O the bliss of life eternal!
O the long unbroken rest!
In the golden fields of pleasure,
In the region of the blest;
But, to see our dear Redeemer,
And before His throne to fall,
There to bear His gracious welcome,
Will be sweeter far than all.Refrain

Eternal Source of joys divine,
To Thee my soul aspires;
O could I say, “The Lord is mine,”
’Tis all my soul desires.My hope, my trust, my life, my Lord,
Assure me of Thy love;
O speak the kind, transporting word,

[Psa 16:11] Father, In Thy Mysterious Presence Kneeling
Father, in Thy mysterious presence kneeling,
Fain would our souls feel all Thy kindling love;
For we are weak, and need some deep revealing
Of trust and strength and calmness from above.Lord, we have wandered forth through doubt and sorrow,
And Thou hast made each step an onward one;
And we will ever trust each unknown morrow;
Thou wilt sustain us till its work is done.Now, Father, now in Thy dear presence kneeling,
Our spirits yearn to feel Thy kindling love;
Now make us strong; we need Thy deep revealing
Of trust and strength and calmness from above.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Oh, bless the Lord, He cleansed my soul,
And filled my lips with singing;
He came in my poor, sinful heart,
And set the joy-bells ringing.Refrain
Oh, praise the Lord, He first loved me;
I feel new life upspringing;
He came in my poor, sinful heart,
And set the joy-bells ringing.He placed my feet upon the Rock,
The only sure foundation;
He shows me wonders of His grace,
The blessings of salvation.Refrain
His promise is “for all the days,”
His love for me is caring;
While in the “Father’s House” above,
A mansion He’s preparing.Refrain
His love is calling, seeking still,

The touch of Christ within your heart
Will set the joy-bells ringing.Refrain

[Psa 16:11] I Am Happy In Him
My soul is so happy in Jesus,
For He is so precious to me;
His voice it is music to hear it,
His face it is Heaven to see.Refrain
I am happy in Him,
I am happy in Him;
My soul with delight
He fills day and night
For I am happy in Him.He sought me so long ere I knew Him,
When wand’ring afar from the fold;
Safe home in His arms He hath bro’t me,
To where there are pleasures untold.Refrain
His love and His mercy surround me,
His grace like a river doth flow;
His Spirit, to guide and to comfort,
Is with me wherever I go.Refrain

My cross and my burden lay down;
Till then I will ever be faithful,
In gathering gems for His crown.Refrain

[Psa 16:11] How Tedious And Tasteless
How tedious and tasteless the hours
When Jesus I no longer see;
Sweet prospects, sweet birds and sweet flowers,
Have all lost their sweetness to me;
The midsummer sun shines but dim,
The fields strive in vain to look gay.
But when I am happy in Him,
December’s as pleasant as May.His Name yields the richest perfume,
And sweeter than music His voice;
His presence disperses my gloom,
And makes all within me rejoice.
I should, were He always thus nigh,
Have nothing to wish or to fear;
No mortal as happy as I,
My summer would last all the year.Content with beholding His face,
My all to His pleasure resigned,
No changes of season or place
Would make any change in my mind:
While blessed with a sense of His love,
A palace a toy would appear;
All prisons would palaces prove,
If Jesus would dwell with me there.Dear Lord, if indeed I am Thine,
If Thou art my sun and my song,
Say, why do I languish and pine?
And why are my winters so long?
O drive these dark clouds from the sky,
Thy soul cheering presence restore;
Or take me to Thee up on high,
Where winter and clouds are no more.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] Lord, We Thank Thee For The Pleasure
Lord, we thank Thee for the pleasure
That our happy lifetime gives,
For the boundless worth and treasure
Of a soul that ever lives;
Mind that looks before and after,
Lifting eyes to things above;
Human tears, and human laughter,
And the depths of human love.For the thrill, the leap, the gladness
Of our pulses flowing free;
E’en for every touch of sadness
That may bring us nearer Thee;
But, above all other kindness,
Thine unutterable love,
Which, to heal our sin and blindness,
Sent Thy dear Son from above.Teach us so our days to number
That we may be early wise;
Dreamy mist, or cloud, or slumber,
Never dull our heav’nward eyes.
Hearty be our work and willing,
As to Thee, and not to men;
For we know our soul’s fulfilling
Is in Heav’n, and not ’til then.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] O Lord Of Life, And Love, And Power
O Lord of life, and love, and power,
How joyful life might be,
If in Thy service every hour
We lived and moved with Thee;
If youth in all its bloom and might
By Thee were sanctified,
And manhood found its chief delight
In working at Thy side!’Tis ne’er too late, while life shall last,
A new life to begin;
’Tis ne’er too late to leave the past,
And break with self and sin;
And we this day, both old and young,
Would earnestly aspire
For hearts to nobler purpose strung,
And purified desire.Nor for ourselves alone we plead,
But for all faithful souls
Who serve Thy cause by word or deed,
Whose names Thy book enrolls:
O speed Thy work, victorious King,
And give Thy workers might,
That thro’ the world Thy truth may ring,
And all men see Thy light.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] Ships Glide In At The Harbor’s Mouth, The
The ships glide in at the harbor’s mouth,
And the ships sail out to sea;
And the wind that sweeps from the sunny south
Is sweet as sweet can be.
There’s a world of toil and a world of pain,
And a world of trouble and care,
But O in a world where our Father reigns,
There is gladness everywhere!The harvest waves in the breezy morn,
And the men go forth to reap;
The fullness comes to the tasseled corn,
Whether we wake or sleep.
And far on the hills by feet untrod
There are blossoms that scent the air,
For O in this world of our Father, God,
There is beauty everywhere!source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] What Joy There Is
What joy there is in coming
To God’s own courts so fair,
Where faithful souls are blooming
Like lilies in His care!
They raise their chalices tender
For Heav’n’s refreshing dew,
’Mid blessings God doth render
They life and strength renew.
’Mid blessings God doth render
They life and strength renew.How beautiful the union
Of souls redeemed and free,
Who hold with God communion
In faith and purity!
While songs of praise are filling
Their sacred place of rest,
Who then can be unwilling
To join their circle blest?
Who then can be unwilling
To join their circle blest?Come, see the Lord’s salvation
And taste His love sincere;
Come, pray without cessation,
Watch with His people here.
Outside, the world makes merry,
Unhappy ’mid its toys,
But in God’s sanctuary
The soul finds heav’nly joys.
But in God’s sanctuary
The soul finds heav’nly joys.May ne’er my footsteps falter
Tow’rd night away from day;
My light shines from God’s altar,
My Sun I’ll seek alway.
Here in His presence glorious
It is so good to be—
Let here my soul victorious
Its tabernacle see.
Let here my soul victorious
Its tabernacle see.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 16:11] When The Day Of Toil Is Done
When the day of toil is done,
When the race of life is run,
Father, grant Thy wearied one
Rest forevermore.When the strife of sin is stilled,
When the foe within is killed,
Be Thy gracious Word fulfilled:
Peace forevermore.When the darkness melts away
At the breaking of the day,
Bid us hail the cheering ray:
Light forevermore.When the heart by sorrow tried,
Feels at length its throbs subside,
Bring us, where all tears are dried,
Joy forevermore.When for vanished days we yearn,
Days that never can return,
Teach us in Thy love to learn
Love forevermore.When the breath of life is flown,
When the grave must claim its own,
Lord of life, be ours Thy crown,
Life forevermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

You may have the joy-bells ringing in your heart,
And a peace that from you never will depart;
Walk the straight and narrow way,

He will keep the joy-bells ringing in your heart.Refrain
Joy-bells ringing in your heart,
Joy-bells ringing in your heart;
Take the Savior here below
With you ev’rywhere you go;

Words of kindness always say;
Deeds of mercy do each day,

Grace sufficient He will give to overcome;
Though unseen by mortal eye,

Sinners you can help to win

[Psa 17:15] My Savior First Of All
When my life work is ended, and I cross the swelling tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.Refrain
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.Oh, the soul thrilling rapture when I view His blessèd face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy, love and grace,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.Refrain
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.Refrain
Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.Refrain

Psalms 23:6
-
[Psa 23:6] I Shall Dwell Forever There
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the Holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark satanic mills?Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England’s green and pleasant land.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 25:5] Look Upon Us, Blessèd Lord
Look upon us, blessèd Lord,
Take our wandering thoughts and guide us;
We have come to hear Thy Word,
With Thy teaching now provide us,
That, from earth’s distractions turning,
We Thy message may be learning.For Thy Spirit’s radiance bright
We, assembled here, are hoping;
If Thou shouldst withhold the light,
In the dark our souls were groping:
In each word and thought direct us:
Thou, Thou only, canst correct us.Brightness of the Father’s face,
Light of Light, from God proceeding,
Make us ready in this place;
Ear and heart await Thy leading.

[Psa 25:5] O Teach Me What It Meaneth
O teach me what it meaneth,
That cross uplifted high,
With One, the Man of Sorrows,
Condemned to bleed and die!
O teach me what it cost Thee
To make a sinner whole;
And teach me, Savior, teach me
The value of a soul!O teach me what it meaneth,
That sacred crimson tide,
The blood and water flowing
From Thine own wounded side.
Teach me that if none other
Had sinned, but I alone,
Yet still Thy blood, Lord Jesus,
Thine only, must atone.O teach me what it meaneth,
Thy love beyond compare,
The love that reacheth deeper
Than depths of self-despair!
Yes, teach me, till there gloweth
In this cold heart of mine
Some feeble, pale reflection
Of that pure love of Thine.O teach me what it meaneth,
For I am full of sin,
And grace alone can reach me,
And love alone can win.
O teach me, for I need Thee,
I have no hope beside—
The chief of all the sinners
For whom the Savior died!O teach me what it meaneth
The rest which Thou dost give
To all the heavy-laden
Who look to Thee and live.
Because I am a rebel
Thy pardon I receive
Because Thou dost command me,
I can, I do believe.O infinite Redeemer!
I bring no other plea;
Because Thou dost invite me
I cast myself on Thee.
Because Thou dost accept me
I love and I adore;
Because Thy love constraineth,
I’ll praise Thee evermore!Play source: Cyberhymnal -

I will praise Thee, I will praise Thee, where shall I Thy praise begin?Though unseen, I love the Savior, He hath brought salvation near;
Manifests His pardoning favor, and when Jesus doth appear,
Soul and body, soul and body, shall His glorious image bear;
Soul and body, soul and body, shall His glorious image bear.While the angel choirs are crying, “Glory to the great I Am,”
I with them will still be vying—glory, glory, to the Lamb!
Oh, how precious, oh, how precious is the sound of Jesus’ Name!
Oh, how precious, oh, how precious is the sound of Jesus’ Name!Angels now are hovering round us, unperceived among the throng;
Wondering at the love that crowned us, glad to sing the holy song;

[Psa 31:3] I Do Not Ask, O Lord
I do not ask, O Lord, that life may be
A pleasant road;
I do not ask that Thou wouldst take from me
Aught of its load.I do not ask that flowers should always spring
Beneath my feet;
I know too well the poison and the sting
Of things too sweet.For one thing, only Lord, dear Lord, I plead:
Lead me aright,
Though strength should falter and though heart should bleed,
Through peace to light.I do not ask, O Lord, that Thou shouldst shed
Full radiance here
Give but a ray of peace, that I may tread
Without a fear.I do not ask my cross to understand,
My way to see;
Better in darkness just to feel Thy hand,
And follow Thee.Joy is like restless day; but peace divine
Like quiet night:
Lead me, O Lord, till perfect day shall shine,
Through peace to light.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Guide the wanderer, day by day, in the straight and narrow way.Thou canst fit me by Thy grace for the heav’nly dwelling place;
All Thy promises are sure, ever shall Thy love endure;
Then what more could I desire, how to greater bliss aspire?
All I need, in Thee I see; Thou art all in all to me.Jesus, Savior all divine, hast Thou made me truly Thine?
Hast Thou bought me by Thy blood? Reconciled my heart to God?

[Psa 40:9] Before Thy People, I Confess
Before Thy people I confess
The wonders of Thy righteousness;
Thou knowest, Lord, that I have made
Thy great salvation known,
Thy truth and faithfulness displayed,
Thy lovingkindness shown.Withhold not Thou Thy grace from me,
O Lord, Thy mercy let me see,
To me Thy lovingkindness show,
Thy truth be still my stay;
Let them preserve me where I go,
And keep me every day.Let all who seek to see Thy face,

Let those who Thy salvation love
Forevermore proclaim:
O praise the Lord Who dwells above,
And magnify His Name.Although I poor and needy be,
The Lord in love takes thought for me;
Thou art my help in time of need,
My Savior, Lord, art Thou;
Then, O my God, I pray, I plead:
Stay not, but save me now.A new and joyful song of praise

Psalms 46:10
-
[Psa 46:10] Be Still, My Soul
Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart,
And all is darkened in the vale of tears,
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away.Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise
On earth, believing, to Thy Lord on high;
Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways,
So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye.
Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine
Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 46:10] Evensong Is Hushed In Silence
Evensong is hushed in silence,
And the hour of rest is nigh;
Strengthen us for work tomorrow,
Jesus, Son of God most high!
Thou who in the village workshop,
Fashioning the yoke and plough,
Didst eat bread of daily labor,
Succor them that labor now.Refrain
We are weary of life-long toil,
Of sorrow, and pain, and sin;
But there is a City with streets of gold,
And all is peace within.How are we to reach that City,
Whose delights no tongue may tell?
By the faith that looks to Jesus,
By a life of doing well.
Sinful men and sinful women,
He will wash our sins away;
He will take us to the sheepfold
Whence no sheep can ever strayRefrain
There the dear ones who have left us
We shall some day meet again;
There will be no bitter partings,
No more sorrow, death or pain.
Evensong has closed in silence,
And the hour of rest is nigh;
Lighten Thou our darkness, Jesus,
Savior, Son of God most high!Refrain

The Lord is in His holy place,
Let all the earth be still;
Be still and know that He is God,

We need a sacred watchfulness,
An earnest deep desire for grace,
Our lives with true content to fill.So hear and heed His faithful Word,
And trust His promise long,
For they who seek Him life shall find,
And shall in Him be strong;
We need a perfect faith in Him,
With understanding never dim,
To fill our daily lives with song.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 47:1] All Nations, Clap Your Hands
All nations, clap your hands,
Let shouts of triumph ring,
For mighty over all the lands
The Lord Most High is King.Above our mighty foes
He gave us power to stand,
And as our heritage He chose
The goodly promised land.With shouts ascends our King,
With trumpet’s stirring call;
Praise God, praise God, His praises sing,
For God is Lord of all.O sing in joyful strains,
And make His glory known;
God over all the nations reigns,
And holy is His throne.Our fathers’ God to own
The kings of earth draw nigh,
For none can save but God alone,
He is the Lord Most High.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Praise the God on Whom ye call;
Lift your voice, and shout His praise,
Triumph in His sovereign grace!Glorious is the Lord most High,
Terrible in majesty;
He His sovereign sway maintains,
King o’er all the earth He reigns.Jesus is gone up on high,
Takes His seat above the sky:
Shout the angel-choirs aloud,
Echoing to the trump of God.Sons of earth, the triumph join,
Praise Him with the host divine;
Emulate the heavenly powers,
Their victorious Lord is ours.Shout the God enthroned above,
Trumpet forth His conquering love;
Praises to our Jesus sing,

Power o’er hell, and earth, and Heav’n!

[Psa 47:1] Hark! The Sounds Of Singing
Hark! the sounds of singing
Coming on the breeze,
Notes of triumph winging
Over lands and seas.
Martial hosts assemble,
Flushed with victory,
Hell’s battalions tremble
And prepare to flee.Refrain
Army of salvation!
Army of the Lord!
Christ our Inspiration
Christ our great Reward.Whence have come these legions,
Valiant, free and strong?
Worldwide are the regions
Where they combat wrong.
Gathering ’neath our banner
While the trumpets blend,
Here in fervent manner
Let our praise ascend.Refrain
Plucked as brands from burning,
Saved by Jesus’ might,
Earth’s allurement spurning,
We for Christ will fight.
He Who found and freed us
From our captive chain,
Surely He will lead us
To eternal gain.Refrain
Wondrous, wondrous story
Of our God-made host,
Unto Jesus glory
’Tis in Him we boast.
Out of every nation,
By His might restored,
Army of salvation,
Army of the Lord.Refrain

[Psa 47:1] O For A Shout Of Sacred Joy
O for a shout of sacred joy
To God the sov’reign King!
Let ev’ry land their tongues employ,

His heav’nly guards around
Attend Him rising through the sky,
With trumpets’ joyful sound.While angels shout and praise their King,
Let mortals learn their strains;
Let all the earth His honors sing;
O’er all the earth He reigns.Rehearse His praise with awe profound,
Let knowledge lead the song,
Nor mock Him with a solemn sound
Upon a thoughtless tongue.In Isr’el stood His ancient throne,
He lov’d that chosen race;
But now He calls the world His own,
And heathens taste His grace.The British islands are the Lord’s,
There Abraham’s God is known;

[Psa 47:1] Shout Of Mighty Triumph, A
A shout of mighty triumph
Through nature’s realm is heard,
A shout which calls creation
To hail th’Incarnate Word.
Away with clouds and darkness!
All hail, thrice blessèd morn;
Sing out with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!Is this, ye holy shepherds,
The mighty newborn King?
This Child, so sweet and gentle,
Can He such rapture bring?
O yes! He comes, the Savior
Of sinful earth forlorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!The cruel, cruel foeman
This Child shall overthrow;
Full soon, the fierce destroyer,
His Lord’s stern might shall know:
Of all his boasted power
Soon to be roughly shorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!But say, sweet virgin mother,
The Child upon thy breast,
Will He receive young children,
And share with them His rest?
O yes! He will with glory
Both old and young adorn;
Then shout with joy, ye mortals,
For Jesus Christ is born!Rejoice then, youths and maidens,
Old men and children, too;
Lift up your cheerful voices,
With bliss and rapture true!

Psalms 65:8

[Psa 65:8] Morning Walks Upon The Earth, The
The morning walks upon the earth,
And man awakes to toil and mirth;
All living things and lands are gay—
Dear God, walk with me through the day.Sweet is the breathing of the world,
As in Thy love it lies unfurled;
And blue and clear th’immortal sky;
’Tis Thine, and Thine its purity.Now noon sits throned, her golden urn
Pours forth the sunshine! Laugh and burn
Corn-land and meadow, lake and sea!
Lord of my life, pour love on me.Slow comes the evening o’er the hill,
The labor of the world is still;
Homeward I go, and muse of Thee—
Father of home, abide with me.Now crops the dark, but worlds of light,
Hidden by day, fulfill the night!
Infinite stillness, silent sea
Of truth and power flow over me.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 85:1

[Psa 85:1] Lord, Thou Hast Greatly Blessed Our Land
Lord, Thou hast greatly blessed our land,
Thou hast brought back our captive band,
Thy pardoning grace has made us free
And covered our iniquity.O Thou, who in a former day
Didst turn Thy dreadful wrath away,
In grace Thy people, Lord, return,
And let Thy wrath no longer burn.O will Thine anger never cease,
Forever shall Thy wrath increase?
Receive and quicken us once more,
And Thy salvation’s joy restore.To us Thy mercy now afford
And show us Thy salvation, Lord;
Yea, Thou wilt answer us in peace,
If from our folly we will cease.The Lord’s salvation will appear
To men of faith and godly fear,
And glory in our land shall dwell
When we shall heed God’s precepts well.Now truth agrees with mercy mild,
Now law and peace are reconciled;
Behold the truth from earth arise,
With justice shining from the skies.The Lord will send His blessing down,
And harvests all our land shall crown;
Before Him righteousness abides,
And in His footsteps our feet He guides.Play source: Cyberhymnal

Savior, may a little child

Thou wert ever meek and mild;
Can my heart as gentle be?Refrain
Teach me how, teach me how,
By Thy Spirit lead me now;
So my feet will never stray
From Thy fold away.Tho’ my years are only few,
Gladly I would work for Thee;
Is there something I can do?
Can I ever useful be?Refrain
Oft I wonder when I hear
Older ones that talk of Thee;

Teach me, my God and King,
In all things Thee to see,
And what I do in anything
To do it as for Thee.A man that looks on glass,
On it may stay his eye;
Or if he pleaseth, through it pass,
And then the heaven espy.To scorn the senses’ sway,
While still to Thee I tend:
In all I do be Thou the Way,
In all be Thou the End.All may of Thee partake;
Nothing so small can be
But draws, when acted for Thy sake,
Greatness and worth from Thee.If done to obey Thy laws,
E’en servile labors shine;

The meanest work divine.This is the famous stone

[Psa 89:1] I Will Sing The Wondrous Story
I will sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me.
How He left His home in glory
For the cross of Calvary.Refrain
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.I was lost, but Jesus found me,
Found the sheep that went astray,
Threw His loving arms around me,
Drew me back into His way.Refrain
I was bruised, but Jesus healed me,
Faint was I from many a fall,
Sight was gone, and fears possessed me,
But He freed me from them all.Refrain
Days of darkness still come o’er me,
Sorrow’s path I often tread,
But the Savior still is with me;
By His hand I’m safely led.Refrain
He will keep me till the river
Rolls its waters at my feet;
Then He’ll bear me safely over,
Where the loved ones I shall meet.Refrain

[Psa 89:1] Immortal Love, Forever Full
Immortal love, forever full,
Forever flowing free,
Forever shared, forever whole,
A never ebbing sea!Our outward lips confess the name
All other names above;
Love only knoweth whence it came,
And comprehendeth love.Blow, winds of God, awake and blow
The mists of earth away:
Shine out, O Light divine, and show
How wide and far we stray.We may not climb the heavenly steeps
To bring the Lord Christ down;
In vain we search the lowest deeps,
For Him no depths can drown.But warm, sweet, tender, even yet,
A present help is He;
And faith still has its Olivet,
And love its Galilee.The healing of His seamless dress
Is by our beds of pain;
We touch Him in life’s throng and press,
And we are whole again.Through Him the first fond prayers are said
Our lips of childhood frame,
The last low whispers of our dead
Are burdened with His Name.O Lord and Master of us all,
Whate’er our name or sign,
We own Thy sway, we hear Thy call,
We test our lives by Thine.The letter fails, the systems fall,
And every symbol wanes;
The Spirit over brooding all,
Eternal Love remains.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

My song forever shall record
The tender mercies of the Lord;
Thy faithfulness will I proclaim,
And every age shall know Thy Name.I sing of mercies that endure,
Forever builded firm and sure,
Of faithfulness that never dies,
Established changeless in the skies.Behold God’s truth and grace displayed,
For He has faithful cov’nant made,
And He has sworn that David’s Son
Shall ever sit upon his throne.“For him My mercy shall endure,
My cov’nant made with him is sure;
His throne and race I will maintain
Forever, while the heav’ns remain.”The heavens shall join in glad accord
To praise Thy wondrous works, O Lord;
Thy faithfulness shall praise command
Where holy ones assembled stand.Who in the heavenly dwellings fair
Can with the Lord Himself compare?
Or who among the mighty shares
The likeness that Jehovah bears?With fear and reverence at His feet
God’s holy ones in council meet;
Yea, more than all about His throne
Must He be feared, and He alone.O Thou Jehovah, God of hosts,
What mighty one Thy likeness boasts?
In all Thy works and vast designs
Thy faithfulness forever shines.The swelling sea obeys Thy will,
Its angry waves Thy voice can still;
Thy mighty enemies are slain,
Thy foes resist Thy power in vain.The heavens and earth, by right divine,
The world and all therein, are Thine;
The whole creation’s wondrous frame

Who bought them with His blood,
And all the love record that led them home to God;
And shall not we take up the strain,

The path of life and truth.Refrain
Oh, sing once more of Jesus,
Our best and truest Friend,
Whose hand from snares of evil

[Psa 89:1] When All Thy Mercies, O My God
When all Thy mercies, O my God,
My rising soul surveys,
Transported with the view, I’m lost
In wonder, love and praise.Thy Providence my life sustained,
And all my wants redressed,
While in the silent womb I lay,
And hung upon the breast.To all my weak complaints and cries
Thy mercy lent an ear,
Ere yet my feeble thoughts had learned
To form themselves in prayer.Unnumbered comforts to my soul
Thy tender care bestowed,
Before my infant heart conceived
From Whom those comforts flowed.When in the slippery paths of youth
With heedless steps I ran,
Thine arm unseen conveyed me safe,
And led me up to man.Through hidden dangers, toils, and deaths,
It gently cleared my way;
And through the pleasing snares of vice,
More to be feared than they.O how shall words with equal warmth
The gratitude declare,
That glows within my ravished heart?
But thou canst read it there.Thy bounteous hand with worldly bliss
Hath made my cup run o’er;
And, in a kind and faithful Friend,
Hath doubled all my store.Ten thousand thousand precious gifts
My daily thanks employ;
Nor is the last a cheerful heart
That tastes those gifts with joy.When worn with sickness, oft hast Thou
With health renewed my face;
And, when in sins and sorrows sunk,
Revived my soul with grace.Through every period of my life
Thy goodness I’ll pursue
And after death, in distant worlds,
The glorious theme renew.When nature fails, and day and night
Divide Thy works no more,
My ever grateful heart, O Lord,
Thy mercy shall adore.Through all eternity to Thee
A joyful song I’ll raise;
For, oh, eternity’s too short
To utter all Thy praise!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 89:19

[Psa 89:19] In Vision To His Saints God Spake
In vision to His saints God spake:
“From out the people one I take,
A mighty leader, true and brave,
Ordained, exalted, strong to save.
My chosen servant I appoint,
With holy oil his head anoint;
My hand with him shall still remain,
My arm his strength shall well sustain.“No enemy shall him affright,
His adversaries I will smite,
My faithfulness to him will prove,
And nevermore My grace remove.
Yea, he shall triumph in My Name,
And great shall be his power and fame,
From sea to sea his mighty hand
Shall hold dominion o’er the land.“‘Thou art my Father,’ he shall cry,
‘My God, my Rock of refuge high’;
My firstborn son shall he be owned,
Above the kings of earth enthroned.
For him My mercy shall endure,
My covenant with him is sure;
His throne and race I will maintain,
Forever, while the heavens remain.“Should sons of his My laws forsake,
My just commands and statutes break,
Then, though My rod their sins reprove,
My mercy I will not remove.
Though they be chastened sore and tried,
My faithfulness shall yet abide;
My plighted word I will not break,
Nor change the promise that I spake.“My oath is steadfast, ever sure,
My servant’s race shall still endure;
His throne forever firm shall stay
When sun and moon have passed away.”
On Thine anointed wrath is poured
As if Thy covenant were abhorred;
Thou hast profaned his kingly crown,
His matchless strength is broken down.He is reproached and spoiled of all,
His enemies upon him fall;
His beauty is consumed away,
Forgotten is his kingly sway.
Cut off in youth, his sacred name
Is covered now with deepest shame;
How long, O Lord, shall wrath abide?
Thy face forever wilt Thou hide?Think on my life; O Lord, take thought;
Hast Thou created man for naught?
What man that lives has power to save
His soul from death, and from the grave?
Where are Thy mercies which of old
Were in Thy promises foretold?
Remember, Lord, the bitter shame
Heaped on Thine own anointed’s name.I sing of mercies that endure
Forever builded firm and sure,
Of faithfulness that never dies,
Established changeless in the skies.
Blest be the Lord forevermore,
Whose promise stands from days of yore.
His word is faithful now as then;
Blest be His Name. Amen, Amen.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 90:4] Thou Glorious God, Before Whose Face
Thou glorious God, before Whose face
The generations pass away,
As, to our eyes, the tender grace
And marvel of each shining day!We thank Thee for the joy sublime
Of years so radiant with Thy power
That all the best of endless time
Seems granted to the fleeting hour.We praise Thee for the surer right,
The clearer message from above,
The lengthening day, the shortening night,
The wiser ministries of love.We bless Thee for the friends we miss,
Who made our peace, and stilled our pain;
We trust Thee on some height of bliss
To bring them close to us again.We magnify Thy holy Name;

[Psa 92:1] How Good It Is To Thank The Lord
How good it is to thank the Lord,
And praise to Thee, Most High, accord,
To show Thy love with morning light,
And tell Thy faithfulness each night;
Yea, good it is Thy praise to sing,
And all our sweetest music bring.O Lord, with joy my heart expands,
Before the wonders of Thy hands;
Great works, Jehovah, Thou hast wrought,
Exceeding deep Thine every thought;
A foolish man knows not their worth,
Nor he whose mind is of the earth.When as the grass the wicked grow,
When sinners flourish here below,
Then is there endless ruin nigh,
But Thou, O Lord, art throned on high;
Thy foes shall fall before Thy might,
The wicked shall be put to flight.Thou, Lord, hast high exalted me
With royal strength and dignity;
With Thine anointing I am blest,
Thy grace and favor on me rest;
I thus exult o’er all my foes,
O’er all that would my cause oppose.The righteous man shall flourish well,
And in the house of God shall dwell;
He shall be like a goodly tree,
And all his life shall fruitful be;

While with sweet, melodious praises, songs of adoration swell.Thou hast filled my heart with gladness through the works Thy hands have wrought;
Thou hast made my life victorious, great Thy works and deep Thy thought.
Thou, O Lord, on high exalted, reignest evermore in might;
All Thy enemies shall perish, sin be banished from Thy sight.But the good shall live before Thee, planted in Thy dwelling place.
Fruitful trees and ever verdant, nourished by Thy boundless grace.
In His goodness to the righteous God His righteousness displays;

[Psa 119:161] No Book Is Like The Bible
No book is like the Bible,
For childhood, youth and age;
Our duty, plain and simple,
We find on every page.
It came by inspiration,
A light to guide our way,
A voice from Him who gave it,
Reproving when we stray.Refrain
No book is like the Bible,
The blessèd book we love,
The pilgrim’s chart of glory,
It leads to God above.It tells of man’s creation,
His sad, primeval fall;
It tells of man’s redemption,
Through Christ, who died for all;
In sacred words of wisdom
It bids us watch and pray,
And early come to Jesus,
The Life, the Truth, the Way.Refrain
O, let us love the Bible,
And praise it more and more;
Our life is like a shadow,
Our days will soon be o’er;
But if we closely follow
The counsel God has giv’n,
We then may hope with angels
To sing His praise in Heav’n.Refrain

Though mighty foes assail me, Lord,
I fear not them, but Thee;
As boundless wealth and priceless spoil,

Deceit and falsehood I abhor,
But in Thy law delight;
Throughout the day I praise Thy Name,
For all Thy ways are right.Great peace has he who loves Thy law,
Unmoved, he safely stands;
For Thy salvation I have hoped
And followed Thy commands.
Thy testimonies I have kept,
They are my chief delight;
Observant of Thy law and truth,
I walk before Thy sight.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Psa 143:1] Lord, Hear Me In Distress
Lord, hear me in distress, regard my suppliant cry,
And in Thy faithfulness and righteousness reply.
In judgment do not cause Thy servant to be tried;
Before Thy holy laws no man is justified.The enemy has sought my soul in dust to tread;
To darkness I am brought, forgotten as the dead.
My spirit, crushed with grief, is sad and overborne;
My heart finds no relief, but desolate I mourn.Recalling former days and all Thy wondrous deeds,
The memory of Thy ways to hope and comfort leads.
To Thee I stretch my hands, let me not plead in vain;
I wait as weary lands wait for refreshing rain.My failing spirit see, O Lord to me make haste;
Hide not Thy face from me, less bitter death I taste.
O let the morn return, let mercy light my day;
For Thee in faith I yearn, O guide me in the way.Lord, save me from my foe, to Thee for help I flee;
Teach me Thy way to know, I have no God but Thee.
By Thy good Spirit led from trouble and distress,
My erring feet shall tread the path of uprightness.O Lord, for Thy Name’s sake revive my fainting heart;
My soul from trouble take, for just and true Thou art.
Remove mine enemy, my cruel foes reward;
In mercy rescue me who am Thy servant, Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 143:1] Unanswered Yet
Unanswered yet?
The prayers your lips have pleaded
In agony of heart these many years?
Does faith begin to fail, is hope departing,
And think you all in vain those falling tears?
Say not the Father hath not heard your prayer:
You shall have your desire, sometime, somewhere,
You shall have your desire, sometime, somewhere.Unanswered yet?
Though when you first presented
This one petition at the Father’s throne,
It seemed you could not wait the time of asking,
So urgent was your heart to make it known.
Though years have passed since then, do not despair;
The Lord will answer you, sometime, somewhere,
The Lord will answer you, sometime, somewhere.Unanswered yet?
Nay, do not say ungranted;
Perhaps your part is not yet wholly done;
The work began when first your prayer was uttered,
And God will finish what He has begun.
If you will keep the incense burning there,
His glory you shall see, sometime somewhere,
His glory you shall see, sometime somewhere.Unanswered yet?
Faith cannot be unanswered;
Her feet were firmly planted on the Rock;
Amid the wildest storm prayer stands undaunted,
Nor quail before the loudest thunder shock.
She knows Omnipotence has heard her prayer,
And cries, “It shall be done,” sometime, somewhere,
And cries, “It shall be done,” sometime, somewhere.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 143:8
-
[Psa 143:8] When Morning Lights The Eastern Skies
When morning lights the eastern skies,
O Lord, Thy mercy show;
On Thee alone my hope relies,
Let me Thy kindness know.Teach me the way that I should go;
I lift my soul to Thee;
For refuge from my cruel foe
To Thee, O Lord, I flee.Thou art my God, to Thee I pray;
Teach me Thy will to heed;
And in the right and perfect way
May Thy good Spirit lead.For Thy Name’s sake, O gracious Lord,
Revive my soul and bless,
And in Thy faithfulness and love
Redeem me from distress.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 143:10
-
[Psa 143:10] God Is Ever Good
See the shining dewdrops
On the flowers strewed,
Proving as they sparkle,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”See the morning sunbeams
Lighting up the wood,
Silently proclaiming,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Hear the mountain streamlet
In its solitude,
With its ripple saying,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”He Who came to save us
Shed His precious blood;
Better things it speaketh:
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Bring, my heart, thy tribute,
Songs of gratitude;
All things join to tell us,
“God is ever good,
Ever good.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 143:10] Sweet Will Of God
My stubborn will at last hath yielded;
I would be Thine, and Thine alone;
And this the prayer my lips are bringing,
Lord, let in me Thy will be done.Refrain
Sweet will of God, still fold me closer;
Till I am wholly lost in Thee;
Sweet will of God, still fold me closer,
Till I am wholly lost in Thee.Refrain
I’m tired of sin, footsore and weary,
The darksome path hath dreary grown,
But now a light has ris’n to cheer me;
I find in Thee my Star, my Sun.Refrain
Thy precious will, O conqu’ring Savior,
Doth now embrace and compass me;
All discords hushed, my peace a river,
My soul, a prisoned bird, set free.Refrain
Shut in with Thee, O Lord, forever,
My wayward feet no more to roam;
What pow’r from Thee my soul can sever?
The center of God’s will my home.Refrain

[Psa 143:10] Within The Maddening Maze Of Things
Within the maddening maze of things,
When tossed by storm and flood,
To one fixed trust my spirit clings;
I know that God is good!No offering of my own I have,
Nor works my faith to prove;
I can but give the gifts He gave,
And plead His love for love.I know not where His islands lift
Their fronded palms in air;
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond His love and care.And so beside the silent sea
I wait the muffled oar;
No harm from Him can come to me
On ocean or on shore.I know not what the future hath
Of marvel or surprise,
Assured alone that life and death
His mercy underlies.Play source: Cyberhymnal
