Psalms 19:4
-
[Psa 19:4] I Greet Thee, Who My Sure Redeemer Art
I greet Thee, who my sure Redeemer art,
My only trust and Savior of my heart,
Who pain didst undergo for my poor sake;
I pray Thee from our hearts all cares to take.Thou art the King of mercy and of grace,
Reigning omnipotent in every place;
So come, O King, and our whole being sway;
Shine on us with the light of Thy pure day.Thou art the life, by which alone we live,
And all our substance and our strength receive;
Sustain us by Thy faith and by Thy power,
And give us strength in every trying hour.Thou hast the true and perfect gentleness,
No harshness hast Thou and no bitterness;
O grant to us the grace we find in Thee,
That we may dwell in perfect unity.Our hope is in no other save in Thee;
Our faith is built upon Thy promise free;
Lord, give us peace, and make us calm and sure,
That in Thy strength we evermore endure.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 31:23
-
[Psa 31:23] Because I Love Jesus
My path may be lonely, and dark be the night,
The clouds may be hiding the sun from my sight,
Yet I have assurance that all will be right,
Because I love Jesus.Refrain
Because I love Jesus, Jesus
Because I love Jesus;
My soul is at rest, and in Him I am blest;
Because I love Jesus.Because I love Jesus, my Savior and thine,
There’s peace in my soul, there is comfort divine;
’Twill always abide, for the promise is mine,
Because I love Jesus.Refrain
Though loved ones be taken away from my side,
Though riches and honor to me be denied,
Yet if I but trust Him no ill can betide,
Because I love Jesus.Refrain
Though all that is evil against me combine,
Though Satan around me his snares should entwine,
Yet if I am faithful a crown will be mine,
Because I love Jesus.Refrain

[Psa 31:23] O God, Thou Faithful God
O God, Thou faithful God,
Thou fountain ever flowing,
Without whom nothing is,
All perfect gifts bestowing,
Grant me a healthy frame,
And give me, Lord, within,
A conscience free from blame,
A soul unhurt by gain.And grant me, Lord, to do,
With ready heart and willing,
Whate’er Thou shalt command,
My calling here fulfilling;
And do it when I ought,
With zeal and joyfulness,
And bless the work I’ve wrought,
For Thou must give success.Oh, let me never speak
What bounds of truth exceedeth;
Grant that no idle word
From out my mouth proceedeth;
And then, when in my place
I must and ought to speak,
My words grant power and grace
Lest I offend the weak.If dangers gather round,
Still keep me calm and fearless;
Help me to bear the cross
When life is dark and cheerless,
To overcome my foe
With words and actions kind;
When counsel I would know,
Good counsel let me find.And let me with all men,
As far as in me lieth,
In peace and friendship live,
And if Thy gift supplieth
Great wealth and honor fair,
Then this refuse me not,
That naught be mingled there
Of goods unjustly got.If Thou a longer life
Hast here on earth decreed me;
If Thou through many ills
To age at length wilt lead me,
Thy patience on me shed.
Avert all sin and shame
And crown my hoary head
With honor free from blame.Let me depart this life
Confiding in my Savior;
Do Thou my soul receive
That it may live forever;
And let my body have
A quiet resting place
Within a Christian grave;
And let it sleep in peace.And on that solemn day
When all the dead are waking,
Stretch o’er my grave Thy hand,
Thyself my slumbers breaking.
Then let me hear Thy voice,
Change Thou this earthly frame,
And bid me aye rejoice
With those who love Thy Name.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 38:1
-
[Psa 38:1] Amidst Thy Wrath Remember Love
Amidst Thy wrath remember love,
Restore Thy servant, Lord;
Nor let a Father’s chastening prove
Like an avenger’s sword.Thine arrows stick within my heart,
My flesh is sorely pressed;
Between the sorrow and the smart,
My spirit finds no rest.My sins a heavy load appear,
And o’er my head are gone;
Too heavy they for me to bear,
Too hard for me t’atone.My thoughts are like a troubled sea,
My head still bending down;
And I go mourning all the day,
Beneath my Father’s frown.Lord, I am weak and broken sore,
None of my powers are whole:
The inward anguish makes me roar,
The anguish of my soul.All my desire to Thee is known,
Thine eye counts every tear;
And every sigh, and every groan,
Is noticed by Thine ear.Thou art my God, my only hope;
My God will hear my cry;
My God will bear my spirit up,
When Satan bids me die.My foot is ever apt to slide,
My foes rejoice to see’t;
They raise their pleasure and their pride
When they supplant my feet.But I’ll confess my guilt to Thee,
And grieve for all my sin;
I’ll mourn how weak my graces be,
And beg support divine.My God, forgive my follies past,
And be for ever nigh;
O Lord of my salvation, haste,
Before Thy servant die.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 38:1] In Thy Wrath And Hot Displeasure
In Thy wrath and hot displeasure,
Chasten not Thy servant, Lord;
Let Thy mercy, without measure,
Help and peace to me afford.Heavy is my tribulation,
Sore my punishment has been;
Broken by Thine indignation,
I am troubled by my sin.With my burden of transgression
Heavy laden, overborne,
Humbled low I make confession,
For my folly now I mourn.Weak and wounded, I implore Thee:
Lord, to me Thy mercy show;
All my prayer is now before Thee,
All my trouble Thou dost know.Darkness gathers, foes assail me.
But I answer not a word;
All my friends desert and fail me,
Only Thou my cry hast heard.Lord, in Thee I am confiding;
Thou wilt answer when I call,
Lest my foes, the good deriding,
Triumph in Thy servant’s fall.I am prone to halt and stumble,
Grief and sorrow dwell within,
Shame and guilt my spirit humble,
I am sorry for my sin.Foes about my soul are closing,
Full of hatred, false and strong;
Choosing good, I find opposing
All who love and do the wrong.Lord, my God, do not forsake me,
Let me know that Thou art near,
Under Thy protection take me,
As my Savior now appear.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 55:22
-
[Psa 55:22] Cast Thy Burden On The Lord
Cast thy burden on the Lord,
Only lean upon His Word;
Thou wilt soon have cause to bless
His eternal faithfulness.He sustains thee by His hand,
He enables thee to stand;
Those whom Jesus once hath loved
From His grace are never moved.Human counsels come to naught;
That shall stand which God hath wrought;
His compassion, love, and power,
Are the same forevermore.Heav’n and earth may pass away,
God’s free grace shall not decay;
He hath promised to fulfill
All the pleasure of His will.Jesus, Guardian of Thy flock,
Be Thyself our constant Rock;
Make us, by Thy powerful hand,
Strong as Zion’s mountain stand.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 55:22] I Will Tell It To Jesus My Lord
When times of temptation bring sadness and gloom,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord;
The last of earth’s treasures borne out to the tomb,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.
This earth hath no sorrow
For today or tomorrow,
But Jesus hath known it and felt long ago,
And when it comes o’er me,
And I’m tempted so sorely,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.Refrain
I will tell it to Jesus, to Jesus my Lord;
I will tell it to Jesus,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.When out on the hilltops, away from all sin,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord;
When joyous and happy the sunshine within,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.
To know I’m forgiven
Is a foretaste of Heaven,
And Jesus is dearer to me than before,
Such peacefulness fills me,
Such an ecstasy fills me,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.Refrain
When weary with toiling and ready to faint,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord;
He never refuses to hear my complaint,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.
I’ll cheerfully bear it,
When I’ve Jesus to share it,
His yoke it is easy, His burden is light,
When life becomes dreary,
And I’m footsore and weary,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.Refrain
When darkness is dimming my path to the sky,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord;
When helpers shall fail me and comforts shall fly,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.
Though blurred my life’s pages
By my sin and its wages,
He’s yesterday, now, and forever the same,
I’ll not be forsaken,
Tho’ my life should be taken,
I will tell it to Jesus my Lord.Refrain

[Psa 55:22] Lay It Down
Oh, come, sinner, come! ’tis mercy’s call;
Here at Jesus’ feet!
Oh come, and, repenting, lay thy all
Down at Jesus’ feet!Refrain
Oh, lay it down! lay it down!
Lay thy weary burden down!
Oh, lay it down! lay it down,
Down at Jesus’ feet!Oh come, and, believing, seek thy rest
Here at Jesus’ feet!
Thy heart, with its heavy weight oppressed,
Lay at Jesus’ feet!Refrain
Oh come, where thy faith can make thee whole,
Here at Jesus’ feet!
Oh come, and thy weary, troubled soul
Lay at Jesus’ feet!Refrain
Oh come! bless the Lord, there’s room for thee,
Here at Jesus’ feet!
Thy burden of guilt, whate’er it be,
Lay at Jesus feet!Refrain

[Psa 55:22] Leave It There
If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.Refrain
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.Refrain
When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.Refrain
When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.Refrain

[Psa 55:22] Lord, What A Change Within Us
Lord, what a change within us one short hour
Spent in Thy presence will prevail to make;
What heavy burdens from our bosoms take,
What parchèd fields refresh as with a shower!We kneel, and all around us seems to lower;
We rise, and all, the distant and the near,
Stands forth in sunny outline, brave and clear;
We kneel, how weak; we rise, how full of power.Why should we ever weak or heartless be,
Why are we ever overborne with care,
Anxious or troubled, when with us is prayer,
And joy, and strength, and courage are with Thee?Play source: Cyberhymnal
