Psalms 120:1--134:3
-
[Psa 120:1] I Cried To God In My Distress
I cried to God in my distress,
And by the Lord my prayer was heard;
O save me, Lord, from lying lips
And from the false, deceitful word.What woe for falsehood can atone,
Or punish the deceitful tongue,
The tongue whose speech consumes like fire,
Whose words like deadly shafts are flung?Alas for me, whose lot is cast
With those who find their joy in strife!
With those who hate the paths of peace
I long have dwelt and spent my life.In thought and act I am for peace,
Peace I pursue and ever seek;
But those about me are for strife,
Though I in love and kindness speak.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:1] Across The Sky The Shades Of Night
Across the sky the shades of night
This New Year’s Eve are fleeting,
We deck Thine altar, Lord, with light,
In solemn worship meeting;
And as the year’s last hours go by,
We raise to Thee our earnest cry,
Once more Thy love entreating.Before the cross subdued we bow,
To Thee our prayers addressing,
Recounting all Thy mercies now,
And all our sins confessing;
Beseeching Thee this coming year
To keep us in Thy faith and fear
And crown us with Thy blessing.And while we pray, we lift our eyes
To dear ones gone before us,
Safe home with thee in paradise,
Whose peace descendeth o’er us;
And beg of Thee, when life is past,
To reunite us all at last
With those who’ve gone before us.We gather up in this brief hour
The memory of Thy mercies;
Thy wondrous goodness, love and power
Our grateful song rehearses;
For Thou hast been our Strength and Stay
In many a dark and dreary day
Of sorrow and reverses.In many an hour when fear and dread,
Like evil spells, have bound us
And clouds were gathering overhead,
Thy providence hath found us.
In many a night when seas ran high,
Thy gracious presence, drawing nigh,
Hath made all calm around us.Then, O great God, in years to come,
Whatever may betide us,
Right onward through our journey home
Be Thou at hand to guide us;
Nor leave us till at close of life,
Safe from all perils, toil, and strife,
Heaven shall enfold and hide us.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:1] I To The Hills Will Lift My Eyes
I to the hills will lift my eyes;
O whence shall come my aid?
My help is from the Lord alone,
Who Heav’n and earth has made.He will not let thy foot be moved,
Thy Guardian never sleeps;
With watchful and unslumbering care,
His own He safely keeps.Thy faithful Keeper is the Lord,
Thy Shelter and thy Shade;
’Neath sun or moon, by day or night,
Thou shalt not be afraid.From evil He will keep thee safe,
For thee He will provide;
Thy going out, thy coming in,
Forever He will guide.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:1] Mine Eyes Look Toward The Mountains
Mine eyes look toward the mountains,
Help cometh from on high;
From God Who never slumbers,
Whose care is ever nigh.
My foot shall not be movèd,
My keeper is the Lord;
He never shall forsake me;
I trust me to His Word.God keepeth me from falling,
Fulfilleth all my need;
His love doth e’er uphold me,
In faithful word and deed.
He keepeth me from evil,
My onward way doth trace,
My going and my coming,
He crowneth with His grace.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:1] To The Hills I Lift Mine Eyes
To the hills I lift mine eyes;
Whence shall help for me arise?
From the Lord shall come mine aid,
Who the Heav’n and earth has made.
He will guide through dangers all,
Will not suffer thee to fall;
He Who safe His people keeps
Slumbers not and never sleeps.Thy Protector is the Lord,
Shade for thee He will afford;
Neither sun nor moon shall smite,
God shall guard by day and night.
He will ever keep thy soul,
What would harm He will control;
In the home and by the way
He will keep thee day by day.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:1] Unto The Hills Around Do I Lift Up
Unto the hills around do I lift up my longing eyes
O whence for me shall my salvation come, from whence arise?
From God, the Lord, doth come my certain aid,
From God, the Lord, who heaven and earth hath made.He will not suffer that thy foot be moved: safe shalt thou be.
No careless slumber shall His eyelids close, who keepeth thee.
Behold, He sleepeth not, He slumbereth ne’er,
Who keepeth Israel in His holy care.Jehovah is Himself thy Keeper true, thy changeless Shade;
Jehovah thy Defense on thy right hand Himself hath made.
And thee no sun by day shall ever smite;
No moon shall harm thee in the silent night.From every evil shall He keep thy soul, from every sin;
Jehovah shall preserve thy going out, thy coming in.
Above thee watching, He Whom we adore
Shall keep thee henceforth, yea, forevermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:3] Jehovah, God, Thy Gracious Power
Jehovah, God, Thy gracious power,
On every hand we see;
Oh, may the blessings of each hour
Lead all our thoughts to Thee.Thy power is in the ocean deeps,
And reaches to the skies;
Thine eye of mercy never sleeps,
Thy goodness never dies.From morn till noon, till latest eve,
Thy hand, O God, we see;
And all the blessings we receive,
Proceed alone from Thee.In all the varying scenes of time,
On Thee our hopes depend;
Through every age, in every clime,
Our Father, and our Friend.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:3] There Is An Eye That Never Sleeps
There is an eye that never sleeps
Beneath the wing of night;
There is an ear that never shuts
When sink the beams of light.There is an arm that never tires
When human strength gives way;
There is a love that never fails
When earthly loves decay.That eye is fixed on seraph throngs;
That arm upholds the sky;
That ear is filled with angel songs;
That love is throned on high.But there’s a power which man can wield
When mortal aid is vain,
That eye, that arm, that love to reach,
That listening ear to gain.That power is prayer, which soars on high,
Through Jesus, to the throne,
And moves the hand which moves the world,
To bring salvation down.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:5] Keep Thou My Way
Keep Thou my way, O Lord, be Thou ever nigh;
Strong is Thy mighty arm, weak and frail am I;
Then, my unchanging Friend, on Thee, my hopes depend,
Till life’s brief day shall end, be Thou ever nigh.Keep Thou my heart, O Lord, ever close to Thee;
Safe in Thine arms of love, shall my refuge be;
Then, over a tranquil tide, my bark shall safely glide;
I shall be satisfied, ever close to Thee.Keep Thou my all, O Lord, hide my life in Thine;
O let Thy sacred light over my pathway shine;
Kept by Thy tender care, gladly the cross I’ll bear;
Hear Thou and grant my prayer, hide my life in Thine.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:8] For The Dear Ones Parted From Us
For the dear ones parted from us
We would raise our hymns of prayer;
By the tender love which watcheth
Round Thy children everywhere,
Holy Father,Holy Father,
Keep them ever in Thy care.Through each trial and temptation,
Dangers faced by night and day,
By the infinite compassion
Pleading for souls that stray,
Loving Savior, Loving Savior,
Keep them in the narrow way.In their hours of doubt and sorrow,
When their faith is sorely tried,
By the grace divine which strengthens,
Souls for whom the Savior died,
Gracious Spirit, Gracious Spirit,
Be Thou evermore their Guide.In their joys, by friends surrounded,
In their strife, by foes oppressed,
May Thy blessing still be with them,
May Thy presence give them rest,
God Almighty, God Almighty,
Father, Son, and Spirit blest.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:8] Now, The Hour Of Worship O’er
Now, the hour of worship o’er,
Teaching, hearing, praying, singing,
Let us gladly God adore,
For His Word our praises bringing;
For the rich repast He gave us
Bless the Lord, who deigned to save us.Now the blessing cheers our heart,
By His grace to us extended.
Let us joyfully depart;
Be our souls to God commended.
May His Spirit ever guide us
And with all good gifts provide us!Bless our going out, we pray,
Bless our entrance in like measure;
Bless our bread, O Lord, each day,
Bless our toil, our rest, our pleasure;
Bless us when we reach death’s portal,
Bless us then with life immortal.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 121:8] Thine Eye Can See
Dear Savior, all I think or do
Thine eye can see;
My many wants, my trials, too,
Thine eye can see;
Where’er I dwell it matters not,
My home a palace or a cot;
Thank God! whatever be my lot,
Thine eye can see.Refrain
Thine eye can see,
Thine eye can see;
Thank God! whatever be my lot,
Thine eye can see.Do clouds obscure my morning sun?
Thine eye can see;
Do friends forsake me, one by one?
Thine eye can see;
Have I no home, no resting place?
Still opened are Thine arms of grace,
The tear of sorrow on my face
Thine eye can see.Refrain
When evening shadows o’er me creep,
Thine eye can see;
When on my pillow calm I sleep,
Thine eye can see;
I thank Thee for Thy watchful care,
How sweet Thy tender love to share,
And know that every grief I bear
Thine eye can see.Refrain
If I will serve Thee day by day,
Thine eye can see;
If from Thy pleasant paths I stray,
Thine eye can see;
Oh, take my heart, my will subdue,
And may I ever keep in view,
That all I think and all I do
Thine eye can see.Refrain

[Psa 122:1] Church In The Village, The
There’s a dear little church in the village,
Near the spot where I first saw the day;
Where in childhood I learned of the Savior,
As the Life, and the Truth, and the Way.Refrain
O come to the church in the village,
O come while the bells sweetly chime,
O come from the hills and the valleys,
And list to the Gospel sublime;
O come to the church in the village,
O come while the bells sweetly chime,
O come to the church in the village,
Seek God, while still there is time.There it stands, when the bright sun is shining,
Where the broad, spreading trees cast their shade,
Then at eve, when the sun has descended,
See it stand in the twilight arrayed.Refrain
Then the light, shining thro’ stainèd windows
Sifting out, shimmers into the night,
Giving all that it touches new beauty,
And dispelling the darkness with light.Refrain
Thus the darkness and blindness that bound me
Were removed in that dear, sacred place,
And no matter how far I may wander,
’Twill be dear till the end of my race.Refrain

[Psa 122:1] Come With Happy Faces
Come with happy faces,
To the place of prayer;
Jesus now is waiting;
We shall find Him there.Refrain
With a grateful spirit,
Now our voices raise;
Thank Him for His goodness,
In a song of praise.Come with happy faces;
Jesus rose today;
Leave the world behind us,
Seek the narrow way.Refrain
Come with happy faces,
Come with hearts sincere;
God our thoughts is reading,
He is ever near.Refrain
Come with happy faces,
Learn the words of truth;
Jesus loves the children;
Trust Him in our youth.Refrain

[Psa 122:1] How Did My Heart Rejoice To Hear
How did my heart rejoice to hear
My friends devoutly say,
“In Zion let us all appear,
And keep the solemn day!”I love her gates, I love the road;
The church, adorned with grace,
Stands like a palace built for God,
To show His milder face.Up to her courts with joys unknown
The holy tribes repair;
The Son of David holds His throne,
And sits in judgment there.He hears our praises and complaints;
And while His awful voice
Divides the sinners from the saints,
We tremble and rejoice.Peace be within this sacred place,
And joy a constant guest!
With holy gifts and heav’nly grace
Be her attendants blest!My soul shall pray for Zion still,
While life or breath remains;
There my best friends, my kindred dwell,
There God my Savior reigns.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:1] How Pleased And Blest Was I
How pleased and blest was I
To hear the people cry,
“Come, let us seek our God today!”
Yes, with a cheerful zeal
We haste to Zion’s hill,
And there our vows and honors pay.Zion, thrice happy place,
Adorned with wondrous grace,
And walls of strength embrace thee round;
In thee our tribes appear
To pray, and praise, and hear
The sacred Gospel’s joyful sound.There David’s greater Son
Has fixed His royal throne,
He sits for grace and judgment there:
He bids the saint be glad,
He makes the sinner sad,
And humble souls rejoice with fear.May peace attend thy gate,
And joy within thee wait
To bless the soul of every guest!
The man that seeks thy peace,
And wishes thine increase,
A thousand blessings on him rest!My tongue repeats her vows,
“Peace to this sacred house!”
For there my friends and kindred dwell;
And since my glorious God
Makes thee His blest abode,
My soul shall ever love thee well.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:1] My Heart Was Glad To Hear The Welcome Sound
My heart was glad to hear the welcome sound,
The call to seek Jehovah’s house of prayer;
Our feet are standing here on holy ground,
Within thy gates, thou city grand and fair.God’s people to Jerusalem repair
To hear his Word and worship Him with praise;
The throne of justice stands eternal there,
Messiah’s throne through endless length of days.Let earnest prayer be made for Zion’s peace;
Thy sons who hold thee dear shall prosper well;
May blessing in thy palaces increase
And peace within thy walls forever dwell.For all my brethren and companions’ sakes
My prayer shall be, Let peace in thee abide;
Since God the Lord in thee His dwelling makes,
To thee my love shall never be denied.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:1] O ’twas A Joyful Sound To Hear
O ’twas a joyful sound to hear
Our tribes devoutly say,
Up, Israel! to the temple haste,
And keep your festal day.
At Salem’s courts we must appear,
With our assembled powers,
In strong and beauteous order ranged,
Like her united towers.O ever pray for Salem’s peace;
For they shall prosperous be,
Thou holy city of our God,
Who bear true love to Thee.
May peace within Thy sacred walls
A constant guest be found;
With plenty and prosperity
Thy palaces be crowned.For my dear brethren’s sake, and friends
No less than brethren dear,
I’ll pray: May peace in Salem’s towers
A constant guest appear.
But most of all I’ll seek thy good,
And ever wish thee well,
For Sion and the temple’s sake,
Where God vouchsafes to dwell.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:1] To Thy Temple I Repair
To Thy temple I repair;
Lord, I love to worship there
When within the veil I meet
Christ before the mercy seat.I through Him am reconciled,
I through Him become Thy child.
Abba, Father, give me grace
In Thy courts to seek Thy face.While Thy glorious praise is sung,
Touch my lips, unloose my tongue,
That my joyful soul may bless
Christ the Lord, my Righteousness.While the prayers of saints ascend,
God of Love, to mine attend.
Hear me, for Thy Spirit pleads;
Hear, for Jesus intercedes.While I hearken to Thy law,
Fill my soul with humble awe
Till Thy Gospel bring to me
Life and immortality.While Thy ministers proclaim
Peace and pardon in Thy Name,
Through their voice, by faith, may I
Hear Thee speaking from the sky.From Thy house when I return,
May my heart within me burn,
And at evening let me say,
“I have walked with God today.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:1] With Joy I Heard My Friends Exclaim
With joy I heard my friends exclaim,
“Come, let us in God’s temple meet;
Within thy gates, O Zion blest,
Shall ever stand our willing feet.”How beautiful doth Zion stand,
A city built compact and fair;
The people of the Lord unite
With joy and praise to worship there.They come to learn the will of God,
To pay their vows, His grace to own;
For there is judgment’s royal seat,
Messiah’s sure and lasting throne.For Zion’s peace let prayer be made;
May all that love thee prosper well;
Within thy walls let peace abide,
And gladness with thy children dwell.For sake of friends and kindred dear,
My heart’s desire is Zion’s peace;
And for the house of God, the Lord,
My loving care shall never cease.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 122:6] Pray That Jerusalem May Have
Pray that Jerusalem may have
Peace and felicity:
Let them that love thee and thy peace
Have still prosperity.Therefore I wish that peace may still
Within thy walls remain,
And ever may thy palaces
Prosperity retain.Now, for my friends and brethren’s sake,
Peace be in thee, I’ll say;
And for the house of God our Lord
I’ll seek thy good alway.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 123:1] To Thee, O Lord, I Lift Mine Eyes
To Thee, O Lord, I lift mine eyes,
O Thou enthroned above the skies;
As servants watch their master’s hand,
Or maidens by their mistress stand;
So to the Lord our eyes we raise,
Until His mercy He displays.Refrain
To Thee, O Lord, I lift mine eyes,
O Thou enthroned above the skies.O Lord, our God, Thy mercy show,
For man’s contempt and scorn we know;
Reproach and shame Thy saints endure
From wicked men who dwell secure;
Man’s proud contempt and scorn we know;
O Lord, our God, Thy mercy show.Refrain

[Psa 123:1] With Joy We Lift Our Eyes
With joy we lift our eyes,
To those bright realms above,
That glorious temple in the skies,
Where dwells eternal Love.Before Thy throne we bow,
O Thou almighty King;
Here we present the solemn vow
And hymns of praise we sing.While in Thy house we kneel,
With trust and holy fear,
Thy mercy and Thy truth reveal,
And lend a gracious ear.Lord, teach our hearts to pray,
And tune our lips to sing,
Nor from Thy presence cast away,
The sacrifice we bring.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 123:3] God Of All Grace, Thy Mercy Send
God of all grace, Thy mercy send;
Let Thy protecting arm defend;
Save us and keep us to the end:
Have mercy, Lord.And through the coming hours of night,
Fill us, we pray, with holy light;
Keep us all sinless in Thy sight:
Grant this, O Lord.May some bright messenger abide
For ever by Thy servants’ side,
A faithful guardian and our guide:
Grant this, O Lord.From every sin in mercy free,
Let heart and conscience stainless be;
That we may live henceforth for Thee:
Grant this, O Lord.We would not be by care opprest;
But in Thy love and wisdom rest;
Give what Thou seest to be best:
Grant this, O Lord.While we of every sin repent,
Let our remaining years be spent
In holiness and sweet content:
Grant this, O Lord.And when the end of life is near,
May we, unshamed and void of fear,
Wait for the judgment to appear:
Grant this, O Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 124:1] Now Israel May Say
Now Israel may say, and that in truth,
If that the Lord had not our right maintained,
If that the Lord had not with us remained,
When cruel men against us rose to strive,
We surely had been swallowed up alive.Yea, when their wrath against us fiercely rose,
The swelling tide had o’er us spread its wave,
The raging stream had then become our grave,
The surging flood, in proudly swelling roll,
Most surely then had overwhelmed our soul.Blest be the Lord, who made us not their prey;
As from the snare a bird escapeth free,
Their net is rent and so escaped are we;
Our only help is in God’s holy Name,
Who made the earth and all the heavenly frame.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 124:2] If God Had Not Been On Our Side
If God had not been on our side
And had not come to aid us,
The foes with all their power and pride
Would surely have dismayed us;
For we, His flock, would have to fear
The threat of men both far and near
Who rise in might against us.Their furious wrath, did God permit,
Would surely have consumed us
And as a deep and yawning pit
With life and limb entombed us.
Like men o’er whom dark waters roll
Their wrath would have engulfed our soul
And, like a flood, o’erwhelmed us.Blest be the Lord, who foiled their threat
That they could not devour us;
Our souls, like birds, escaped their net,
They could not overpower us.
The snare is broken—we are free!
Our help is ever, Lord, in Thee,
Who madest earth and Heaven.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 124:7] Bird With The Broken Wing, The
I walked in the woodland meadows,
Where sweet the thrushes sing,
And found on a bed of mosses,
A bird with a broken wing;
I healed its wing, and each morning
It sang its old sweet strain,
But the bird with the broken pinion,
Never soared as high again,
Never soared as high again.I found a young life broken
By sin’s seductive art,
And, touched with a Christlike pity,
I took him to my heart;
He lived with a nobler purpose,
And struggled not in vain,
But the life that sin had stricken,
Never soared as high again,
Never soared as high again.But the bird with the broken pinion
Kept another from the snare,
The life that sin had stricken,
Raised another from despair;
Each loss has its own compensation,
There’s healing for each pain,
But the bird with the broken pinion
Never soared as high again,
Never soared as high again.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 125:1] All Who, With Heart Confiding
All who, with heart confiding,
Depend on God alone,
Like Zion’s mount abiding,
Shall ne’er be overthrown.
Like Zion’s city, bounded
By guarding mountains broad,
His people are surrounded
Forever by their God.No scepter of oppression
Shall hold unbroken sway,
Lest unto base transgression
The righteous turn away.
Thy favor be imparted
To godly men, O Lord,
Bless all that are pure-hearted,
The good with good reward.The men who falsehood cherish,
Forsaking truth and right,
With wicked men shall perish;
God will their sin requite;
From sin Thy saints defending,
Their joy, O Lord, increase,
With mercy never ending
And everlasting peace.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 125:1] Such As In God The Lord Do Trust
Such as in God the Lord do trust
As Mount Sion shall firmly stand,
And be removèd at no hand,
The Lord will count them right and just,
So that they shall be sure
Forever to endure.As mighty mountains huge and great
Jerusalem about do close,
So will the Lord be unto those
Who on His godly will do wait;
Such are to Him so dear
They never need to fear.For though the righteous try doth He
By making wicked men His rod,
Lest they through grief forsake their God;
It shall not as their lot still be.
Give, Lord, to us Thy light
Whose hearts are true and right.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 125:2] Zion Stands By Hills Surrounded
Zion stands by hills surrounded,
Zion, kept by power divine;
All her foes shall be confounded,
Though the world in arms combine;
Happy Zion, what a favored lot is thine!
Happy Zion, what a favored lot is thine!Every human tie may perish;
Friend to friend unfaithful prove;
Mothers cease their own to cherish;
Heav’n and earth at last remove;
But no changes can attend Jehovah’s love,
But no changes can attend Jehovah’s love.In the furnace God may prove thee,
Thence to bring thee forth more bright,
But can never cease to love thee;
Thou art precious in His sight;
God is with thee—God, thine everlasting Light,
God is with thee—God, thine everlasting Light.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 126:1] When In His Might The Lord
When in His might the Lord arose to set us free,
And Zion was restored from her captivity,
In transports then of joy and mirth
We praised the Lord of all the earth.The nations saw with fear the might of God displayed,
When He at last drew near to give His people aid;
Great things for us the Lord has wrought,
And gladness to our hearts has brought.Again refresh us, Lord, with Thy reviving love,
And be Thy blessing poured in mercy from above;
By grace revive our hearts again,
As streams refreshed by copious rain.Although with bitter tears the sower bears his seed,
When harvest time appears he shall be glad indeed;
For they that in the sowing weep
Shall yet in joy and gladness reap.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 126:1] When Zion In Her Low Estate
When Zion in her low estate
Was brought from bondage by the Lord,
In ecstasy we sang for joy,
By grace and wondrous love restored.The Lord, in greatly blessing us,
Before the world His power displays;
Yea, great things God has done for us
And filled our hearts with joy and praise.O Lord, refresh us by Thy grace,
Revive and quicken all our powers,
As failing streams are made to flow,
Replenished by abundant showers.The sower, bearing precious seed,
May weep as in his toil he grieves,
But he shall come again with joy
In harvest time with golden sheaves.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 126:2] Singing All The Time
I feel like singing all the time,
My tears are wiped away;
For Jesus is a friend of mine,
I’ll serve Him every day.Refrain
I’m singing, singing,
Singing all the time;
Singing, singing,
Singing all the time.When on the cross my Lord I saw,
Nailed there by sins of mine;
Fast fell the burning tears; but now,
I’m singing all the time.Refrain
When fierce temptations try my heart,
I sing, Jesus is mine;
And so, though tears at times may start,
I’m singing all the time.Refrain
The wondrous story of the Lamb,
Tell with that voice of thine,
Till others, with the glad new song
Go singing all the time.Refrain

[Psa 126:6] Bringing In The Sheaves
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.Refrain
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.Refrain
Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.Refrain

[Psa 126:6] Far And Near
Far and near the fields are teeming
With the waves of ripened grain;
Far and near their gold is gleaming
O’er the sunny slope and plain.Refrain
Lord of harvest, send forth reapers!
Hear us, Lord, to Thee we cry;
Send them now the sheaves to gather
Ere the harvest time pass by.Send them forth with morn’s first beaming,
Send them in the noontide’s glare;
When the sun’s last rays are gleaming,
Bid them gather everywhere.Refrain
O thou, whom thy Lord is sending,
Gather now the sheaves of gold;
Heav’nward then at evening wending,
Thou shalt come with joy untold.Refrain

[Psa 126:6] He That Goeth Forth With Weeping
He that goeth forth with weeping,
Bearing precious seed in love,
Never tiring, never sleeping,
Findeth mercy from above.Soft descend the dews of heaven,
Bright the rays celestial shine;
Precious fruits will thus be given
Through an influence all divine.Sow thy seed; be never weary;
Let no fears thy soul annoy;
Be the prospect ne’er so dreary,
Thou shalt reap the fruits of joy.Lo! the scene of verdure brightening,
See the rising grain appear:
Look again; the fields are whitening,
For the harvest time is near.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 126:6] Sow In The Morn Thy Seed
Sow in the morn thy seed,
At eve hold not thy hand;
To doubt and fear give thou no heed,
Broadcast it o’er the land.Thou know’st not which may thrive,
The late or early sown;
God keeps His precious seed alive,
When and wherever thrown.And duly shall appear,
In verdure, beauty, strength,
The tender blade, the stalk, the ear,
And the full corn at length.Thou canst not toil in vain;
Cold, heat, and moist, and dry,
Shall foster and mature the grain
For garners in the sky.Thence, when the glorious end,
The day of God is come,
The angels reapers shall descend,
And Heav’n cry, “Harvest Home.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:1] Father Of Men, In Whom Are One
Father of men, in Whom are one
All humankind beneath Thy sun,
Stablish our work in Thee begun.
Except the house be built of Thee,
In vain the builder’s toil must be:
O strengthen our infirmity.Man lives not for himself alone,
In others’ good he finds his own;
Life’s worth in fellowship is known.
We, friends and comrades on life’s way,
Gather within these walls to pray:
Bless Thou our fellowship today.O Christ, our Elder Brother, who
By serving man God’s will didst do,
Help us to serve our brethren, too.
Guide us to seek the things above,
The base to shun, the pure approve,
To live by Thy free law of love.In all our work, in all our play,
Be with us, Lord, our Friend, our Stay;
Lead onward to the perfect day:
Then may we know, earth’s lesson o’er,
With comrades missed or gone before,
Heav’n’s fellowship for evermore.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:1] O Father, All Creating
O Father, all creating,
Whose wisdom, love, and power
First bound two lives together
In Eden’s primal hour,
Today to these Thy children
Thine earliest gifts renew,
A home by Thee made happy,
A love by Thee kept true.O Savior, Guest most bounteous
Of old in Galilee,
Vouchsafe today Thy presence
With these who call on Thee;
Their store of earthly gladness
Transform to heavenly wine,
And teach them, in the tasting,
To know the gift is Thine.O Spirit of the Father,
Breathe on them from above,
So mighty in Thy pureness,
So tender in Thy love;
That, guarded by Thy presence,
From sin and strife kept free,
Their lives may own Thy guidance,
Their hearts be ruled by Thee.Except Thou build it, Father,
The house is built in vain;
Except Thou, Savior, bless it,
The joy will turn to pain;
But naught can break the union
Of hearts in Thee made one;
And love Thy Spirit hallows
Is endless love begun.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:1] Unless The Lord The House Shall Build
Unless the Lord the house shall build,
The weary builders toil in vain;
Unless the Lord the city shield,
The guards a useless watch maintain.In vain you rise ere morning break,
And late your nightly vigils keep,
And of the bread of toil partake;
God gives to His belovèd sleep.Lo, children are a great reward,
A gift from God in very truth;
With arrows is his quiver stored
Who joys in children of his youth.And blest the man whose age is cheered
By stalwart sons and daughters fair;
No enemies by him are feared,
No lack of love, no want of care.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:1] We Cannot Build Alone
We cannot build alone; to rear, great God, to Thee,
A house which Thou wilt own, Thou must the builder be.
Not by our might, but Thy power,
Must dome and tower take upward flight,
Must dome and tower take upward flight.Were all the stones that lie unquarried ’neath the sod
Piled up against the sky, it were not worthy God.
To make this dear, Lord, condescend
Thy head to bend and enter here,
Thy head to bend and enter here.Let faith here rear to God! Here love erect her thrones!
A house for Thine abode be built of lively stones!
We do not err, O Holy Ghost!
Pure hearts Thou dost to fanes prefer,
Pure hearts Thou dost to fanes prefer.The heavenly only stands: Earth briefly typifies
The House not made with hands, eternal in the skies—
We see its towers: how sweet to know,
When hence we go, that House is ours!
When hence we go, that House is ours!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:2] He Giveth His Beloved Sleep
Sorrow and care may meet,
The tempest cloud may low’r,
The surge of sin may beat
Upon earth’s troubled shore;
God doth His own in safety keep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep.The din of war may roll,
With all her raging flight,
Grief may oppress the soul,
Throughout the weary nigh;
God doth His own in safety keep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep.In childhood’s winsome page,
In manhood’s joyous bloom,
In feebleness and age,
In death’s dark gathering gloom,
God will His own in safety keep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep,
He giveth His belovèd sleep.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:2] Joy And Light
Joy and light, joy and light,
Over the crystal sea;
Come, come, soft and bright,
Over the crystal sea.
Come on your snowy pinions white,
Come in the silent calm of night,
Watch when the pale stars keep,
Bring the troubled one,
Bring the weary one sleep.Love and rest, love and rest,
Carol in silver tone;
Glad songs, pure and blest,
Carol in silver tone.
Come from the fadeless flowers that grow,
Come from the sparkling streams that flow,
Come in the midnight deep,
Bring the troubled one,
Bring the weary one sleep.Voice divine, voice divine,
Speak, and our souls shall hear;
Sweet, sweet words are Thine,
Speak, and our souls shall hear.
Tell of a cloudless region fair,
Tell of the many mansions there,
Speak to the hearts that weep,
Bring the troubled one,
Bring the weary one sleep.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 127:2] Of All The Thoughts Of God
Of all the thoughts of God that are
Borne inward into souls afar,
Along the psalmist’s music deep,
Now tell me if there any is,
For gift or grace surpassing this:
“He giveth His belovèd sleep”?What would we give to our beloved?
The hero’s heart to be unmoved,
The poet’s star tuned harp, to sweep,
The patriot’s voice, to teach and rouse,
The monarch’s crown, to light the brows?
He giveth His belovèd sleep.“Sleep soft, belovèd!” we sometimes say,
Who have no tune to charm away
Sad dreams that through the eyelids creep
But never doleful dream again
Shall break the happy slumber when
He giveth His belovèd sleep.His dews drop mutely on the hill,
His cloud above it saileth still,
Though on its slope men sow and reap;
More softly than the dew is shed,
Or cloud is floated overhead,
He giveth His belovèd sleep.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 128:1] Happy The Man Who Feareth God
Happy the man who feareth God,
Whose feet His holy ways have trod;
Thine own good hand shall nourish thee,
And well and happy shalt thou be.Thy wife shall, like a fruitful vine,
Fill all thy house with clusters fine;
Thy children all be fresh and sound,
Like olive-plants thy table round.Lo! to the man these blessings cleave
Who in God’s holy fear doth live;
From him the ancient curse hath fled
By Adam’s race inherited.Out of Mount Zion God shall send,
And crown with joy thy latter end;
That thou Jerusalem mayst see,
In favor and prosperity.He shall be with thee in thy ways,
And give thee health and length of days;
Yea, thou shalt children’s children see,
And peace on Israel shall be.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 128:1] What Cheering Words Are These!
What cheering words are these!
Their sweetness who can tell?
In time and to eternity,
’Tis with the righteous well;
In time and to eternity,
’Tis with the righteous well.In every state secure,
Kept by Jehovah’s eye,
’Tis well with them while life endures,
And well when called to die;
’Tis well with them while life endures,
And well when called to die.’Tis well when joys arise,
’Tis well when sorrows bow,
’Tis well when darkness veils the skies,
And strong temptations blow;
’Tis well when darkness veils the skies,
And strong temptations blow.’Tis well when on the mount
They feast on dying love,
And ’tis as well in God’s account,
When they the furnace prove;
And ’tis as well in God’s account,
When they the furnace prove.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 128:2] Balm In Secret Prayer
Pray on, pray on, O trusting heart,
Let not thy courage fail;
But take thy Savior at His word,
And know thou shalt prevail.Refrain
Tho’ the cross is hard to bear,
There is balm in secret prayer;
Go and tell thy sorrows there,
And leave it all with Jesus.What tho’ thy prayers thro’ many tears
May reach His throne on high;
He knows the anguish of thy heart,
And will not pass thee by.Refrain
Perhaps in some desponding hour,
When hope has well nigh past,
The light will burst upon thy soul,
And joy be thine at last.Refrain
Pray on, pray on, O weary not,
Whate’er thy trial be;
But lean thy faith on Him Who said,
“It shall be well with thee.”Refrain

[Psa 128:4] Blest The Man That Fears Jehovah
Blest the man that fears Jehovah
Walking ever in His ways
By thy toil thou shalt be prospered
And be happy all thy days.
In thy wife thou shalt have gladness,
She shall fill thy home with good,
Happy in her loving service
And the joys of motherhood.Joyful children, sons and daughters
Shall about thy table meet;
Olive plants in strength and beauty
Full of hope and promise sweet.
Lo, on him that fears Jehovah
Shall this blessedness attend,
For Jehovah out of Zion
Shall to thee His blessing send.Blest the man that fears Jehovah
Walking ever in His ways.
By thy toil thou shalt be prospered
And be happy all thy days.
Thou shalt see God’s kingdom prosper
All thy days, till life shall cease,
Thou shalt see thy children’s children.
On Thy people, Lord, be peace.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 129:1] Through All The Years, May Israel Say
Through all the years, may Israel say,
My bitter foes have oft assailed,
Have sought my hurt in fierce array,
Yet over me have not prevailed.Though scars of conflict and distress
Remain to tell of trials past,
Jehovah in His righteousness
Has safely brought us through at last.The foes of Zion shall be brought
To hopeless flight and put to shame;
Their wicked plans shall come to naught
And all mankind forget their name.To them no kindly friend shall say,
“God bless you now and speed you well”;
No grateful heart for them shall pray,
“May God’s rich blessing on you dwell.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] From Deep Distress And Troubled Thoughts
From deep distress and troubled thoughts
To Thee, my God, I raised my cries;
If Thou severely mark our faults,
No flesh can stand before Thine eyes.But Thou hast built Thy throne of grace
Free to dispense Thy pardons there,
That sinners may approach Thy face,
And hope and love, as well as fear.As the benighted pilgrims wait
And long, and wish for breaking day,
So waits my soul before Thy gate;
When will my God His face display?My trust is fixed upon Thy Word,
Nor shall I trust Thy Word in vain;
Let mourning souls address the Lord
And find relief from all their pain.Great is His love, and large His grace,
Through the redemption of His Son;
He turns our feet from sinful ways,
And pardons what our hands have done.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] From Depths Of Woe I Raise To Thee
From depths of woe I raise to Thee
The voice of lamentation;
Lord, turn a gracious ear to me
And hear my supplication;
If Thou iniquities dost mark,
Our secret sins and misdeeds dark,
O who shall stand before Thee?To wash away the crimson stain,
Grace, grace alone availeth;
Our works, alas! are all in vain;
In much the best life faileth:
No man can glory in Thy sight,
All must alike confess Thy might,
And live alone by mercy.Therefore my trust is in the Lord,
And not in mine own merit;
On Him my soul shall rest, His Word
Upholds my fainting spirit:
His promised mercy is my fort,
My comfort, and my sweet support;
I wait for it with patience.What though I wait the livelong night,
And till the dawn appeareth,
My heart still trusteth in His might;
It doubteth not nor feareth:
Do thus, O ye of Israel’s seed,
Ye of the Spirit born indeed;
And wait till God appeareth.Though great our sins and sore our woes,
His grace much more aboundeth;
His helping love no limit knows,
Our utmost need it soundeth.
Our Shepherd good and true is He,
Who will at last His Israel free.
From all their sin and sorrow.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] From Out The Depths I Cry, O Lord
From out the depths I cry, O Lord, to Thee,
Lord, hear my call.
I love Thee, Lord, for Thou dost heed my plea,
Forgiving all.
If Thou dost mark our sins, who then shall stand?
But grace and mercy dwell at Thy right hand.I wait for God, the Lord, and on His Word
My hope relies;
My soul still waits and looks unto the Lord
Till light arise.
I look for Him to drive away my night,
Yea, more than watchmen look for morning light.Hope in the Lord, ye waiting saints, and He
Will well provide;
For mercy and redemption full and free
With Him abide.
From sin and evil, mighty though they seem,
His arm almighty will His saints redeem.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] From The Depths Do I Invoke Thee
From the depths do I invoke Thee,
Lord, to me incline Thine ear;
To my voice be Thou attentive,
And my supplications hear.Lord, if Thou shouldst mark transgressions,
In Thy presence who shall stand?
But with Thee there is forgiveness,
That Thy Name may fear command.For Jehovah I am waiting
And my hope is in His Word;
In His Word of promise given,
Yea, my soul waits for the Lord.For the Lord my soul is waiting
More than watchers in the night;
More than they for morning watching,
Watching for the morning light.Hope in God, ye waiting people,
Mercies great in Him abound;
With the Lord a full redemption
From the guilt of sin is found.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] From The Depths My Prayer Ascendeth
From the depths my prayer ascendeth
Unto God on high;
Hear, O Lord, my supplication
And my cry.None can stand unscathed and blameless
In Thy judgment just,
But the contrite in Thy mercy
Humbly trust.Lord, my hope is in Thy promise,
And I wait for Thee
More than they who watch for morning,
Light to see.With the Lord is tender mercy,
And redeeming love;
Israel, look for full salvation
From above.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] Lord, From The Depths To Thee I Cried
Lord, from the depths to Thee I cried:
My voice, Lord, do Thou hear;
Unto my supplication’s voice
Give an attentive ear.Lord, who shall stand, if Thou, O Lord,
Shouldst mark iniquity?
But yet with Thee forgiveness is,
That feared Thou mayest be.I wait for God, my soul doth wait;
My hope is in His Word.
More than they that for morning watch,
My soul waits for the Lord.I say, more than they that do watch
The morning light to see.
Let Israel hope in the Lord,
For with Him mercies be.Redemption also plenteous
Is ever found with Him;
And from all his iniquities
He Israel shall redeem.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] Out Of My Bondage, Sorrow, And Night
Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light,
Jesus, I come to Thee;
Out of my sickness, into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee.Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of earth’s sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life’s storms and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee.Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy blessèd will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee.Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the joy and light of Thy throne,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] Out Of The Deep I Call
Out of the deep I call,
To Thee, O Lord, to Thee,
Before Thy throne of grace I fall;
Be merciful to me.Out of the deep I cry,
The woeful deep of sin,
Of evil done in days gone by,
Of evil now within.Out of the deep of fear
And dread of coming shame;
All night till morning watch is near
I plead the precious Name.Lord, there is mercy now,
As ever was, with Thee,
Before Thy throne of grace I bow;
Be merciful to me.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] Out Of The Deeps Of Long Distress
Out of the deeps of long distress,
The borders of despair,
I sent my cries to seek Thy grace,
My groans to move Thine ear.Great God, should Thy severer eye,
And Thine impartial hand,
Mark and revenge iniquity,
No mortal flesh could stand.But there are pardons with my God
For crimes of high degree;
Thy Son has bought them with His blood,
To draw us near to Thee.I wait for Thy salvation, Lord,
With strong desires I wait;
My soul, invited by Thy Word,
Stands watching at Thy gate.Just as the guards that keep the night
Long for the morning skies,
Watch the first beams of breaking light,
And meet them with their eyes;So waits my soul to see Thy grace,
And, more intent than they,
Meets the first openings of Thy face,
And finds a brighter day.Then in the Lord let Israel trust,
Let Israel seek His face;
The Lord is good as well as just,
And plenteous is His grace.There’s full redemption at His throne
For sinners long enslaved;
The great Redeemer is His Son,
And Israel shall be saved.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] Out Of The Depths To Thee I Cry
Out of the depths to Thee I cry,
Whose fainting footsteps trod
The paths of our humanity,
Incarnate Son of God!Thou Man of grief, who once apart
Didst all our sorrows bear,
The trembling hand, the fainting heart
The agony, and prayer!Is this the consecrated dower,
Thy chosen ones obtain,
To know Thy resurrection power
Through fellowship of pain?Then, O my soul, in silence wait;
Faint not, O faltering feet;
Press onward to that blest estate,
In righteousness complete.Let faith transcend the passing hour,
The transient pain and strife,
Upraised by an immortal power,
The power of endless life.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:1] When In The Hour Of Utmost Need
When in the hour of utmost need
We know not where to look for aid,
When days and nights of anxious thought
Nor help nor counsel yet have brought.Then this our comfort is alone,
That we may meet before Thy throne,
And cry, O faithful God, to Thee
For rescue from our misery.That so with all our hearts we may
Once more our glad thanksgivings pay,
And walk obedient to Thy Word,
And now and ever praise the Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 130:5] My Rest
Deep and deeper fell the shadows,
Nearer seemed the golden strand,
And my trusting heart was waiting,
Passive in my Savior’s hands;
O how brightly o’er my spirit
Came a radiance from afar,
Like the blush of early morning,
Like the rising of a star.Refrain
I was waiting, calmly waiting,
Not a fear was in my breast;
I had trusted my Redeemer,
And in Him was now my rest.Nearer seemed the shining portals,
But the Master said to me,
“There are sheaves that must be garnered
Ere the reaping dawns for thee;
Yet I know that thou wert weary,
And I bade thy heart repose
By a healing stream that murmurs
Where the Rose of Sharon grows.”Refrain
In the silent hours of midnight,
When my waking thoughts take wings,
O the tranquil peace He gives me,
And the hallowed songs He brings!
He has crowned me with His blessing,
And I now by faith can say,
I am going forth with vigor,
Still rejoicing on my way.Refrain

[Psa 130:5] My Savior, On The Word Of Truth
My Savior, on the word of truth
In earnest hope I live;
I ask for all the precious things
Thy boundless love can give.
I look for many a lesser light
About my path to shine;
But chiefly long to walk with Thee,
And only trust in Thine.In holy expectation held,
Thy strength my heart shall stay,
For Thy right hand will never let
My trust be cast away.
Yea, Thou hast kept me near Thy feet,
In many a deadly strife,
By the stronghold of hope in Thee,
The hope of endless life.Thou knowest that I am not blest
As Thou wouldst have me be,
Till all the peace and joy of faith
Possess my soul in Thee
And still I seek ’mid many fears,
With yearnings unexpressed,
The comforts of Thy strengthening love,
Thy soothing, settling rest.It is not as Thou wilt with me,
Till, humbled in the dust;
I know no place in all my heart
Wherein to put my trust.
Until I find, O Lord, in Thee,
The Lowly and the Meek,
That fullness which Thy own redeemed
Go nowhere else to seek.Then, O my Savior, on my soul,
Cast down, but not dismayed,
Still be Thy chastening, healing hand
In tender, mercy laid.
And while I wait for all Thy joys,
My yearning heart to fill,
Teach me to walk and work with Thee,
And at Thy feet sit still.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Is there ambition in my heart?
Search, gracious God, and see;
Or do I act a haughty part?
Lord, I appeal to Thee.I charge my thoughts, be humble still,
And all my carriage mild,
Content, my Father, with Thy will,
And quiet as a child.The patient soul, the lowly mind,

And trust a faithful Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 131:1] Not Haughty Is My Heart
Not haughty is my heart,
Not lofty is my pride;
I do not seek to know the things

In Thee I calmly rest,
Contented as a little child
Upon its mother’s breast.Ye people of the Lord,
In Him alone confide;
From this time forth and evermore
His wisdom be your guide.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 131:2] Quiet, Lord My Froward Heart
Quiet, Lord, my froward heart,
Make me teachable and mild,
Upright, simple, free from art,
Make me as a weanèd child:
From distrust and envy free,
Pleased with all that pleases Thee.What Thou shalt today provide,
Let me as a child receive;
What tomorrow may betide,
Calmly to Thy wisdom leave:
’Tis enough that Thou wilt care,
Why should I the burden bear?As a little child relies
On a care beyond his own;
Knows he’s neither strong nor wise,
Fears to stir a step alone:
Let me thus with Thee abide,
As my Father, Guard, and Guide.Thus preserved from Satan’s wiles,
Safe from dangers, free from fears;
May I live upon Thy smiles,
Till the promised hour appears;
When the sons of God shall prove
All their Father’s boundless love.source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 132:1] Gracious Lord, Remember David
Gracious Lord, remember David,
How he made Thy house his care,
How he vowed to seek no pleasure
Till Thy house he should prepare.
Lord, remember his devotion;
Restless in his courts he trod
Till he found a habitation
Fit for Israel’s mighty God;
Till he found a habitation
Fit for Israel’s mighty God.Far away God’s ark was resting,
It is with His people now;
We will go into His temple,
At His footstool we will bow.
With the ark, Thy might revealing,
Enter, Lord, into Thy rest;
Let Thy priests be clothed with justice,
Let Thy joyful saints be blest;
Let Thy priests be clothed with justice,
Let Thy joyful saints be blest.Let the king behold Thy favor
For Thy servant David’s sake,
Unto whom a sacred promise,
Sure and faithful, Thou didst make.
If his children keep Thy covenant
And Thy testimony own,
Then, as Thou, O Lord, hast promised,
They shall sit upon the throne;
Then, as Thou, O Lord, hast promised,
They shall sit upon the throne.Thou, the Lord, hast chosen Zion,
Thou hast ever loved her well;
“This My resting place forever,
Here,” Thou say’st, “I choose to dwell.
Surely I will bless and help her,
Feed her poor, her saints make glad,
And her priests shall stand before Me
In salvation’s garments clad;
And her priests shall stand before Me
In salvation’s garments clad.“I will cause the might of David
Ever more and more to grow;
On the path of Mine Anointed
I will make a lamp to glow.
All His enemies shall perish,
I will cover them with shame;
But His crown shall ever flourish;
Blessèd be His holy Name;
But His crown shall ever flourish;
Blessèd be His holy Name.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 132:4] No Sleep Nor Slumber To His Eyes
No sleep nor slumber to his eyes
Good David would afford,
Till He had found below the skies
A dwelling for the Lord.The Lord in Sion placed His Name,
His ark was settled there;
To Sion the whole nation came
To worship thrice a year.But we have no such lengths to go,
Nor wander far abroad;
Where’er Thy saints assemble now,
There is a house for God.Arise, O King of grace, arise
And enter to Thy rest!
Lo! Thy Church waits with longing eyes
Thus to be owned and blest.Enter with all Thy glorious train
Thy Spirit and Thy Word;
All that the ark did once contain
Could no such grace afford.Here, mighty God, accept our vows,
Here let Thy praise be spread;
Bless the provisions of Thy house,
And fill Thy poor with bread.Here let the Son of David reign,
Let God’s Anointed shine;
Justice and truth His court maintain
With love and power divine.Here let Him hold a lasting throne;
And as His kingdom grows,
Fresh honors shall adorn His crown,
And shame confound his foes.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Turn not away from us Thy face;
Establish Thou Messiah’s throne
And let Him reign within this place.Thy Zion Thou hast chosen, Lord,
And Thou hast said, I love her well,
This is My constant resting place,
And here will I delight to dwell.I will abundantly provide

To dearer names descends;
Calls you His treasure and His joy,
His children and His friends.My Father, God! and may these lips

[Psa 132:9] Lord, Pour Thy Spirit From On High
Lord, pour Thy Spirit from on high,
And Thine ordainèd servants bless;
Graces and gifts to each supply,

To teach the truth as taught by Thee,
Savior, like stars in Thy right hand,
Let all Thy Church’s pastors be.Wisdom, and zeal, and faith impart,
Firmness with meekness, from above,
To hear Thy people in their heart,
And love the souls whom Thou dost love.To watch, and pray, and never faint,
By day and night their guard to keep,
To warn the sinner, cheer the saint,
To feed Thy lambs, and tend Thy sheep.So, when their work is finished here,
May they in hope their charge resign;
So, when their Master shall appear,
May they with crowns of glory shine.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Haste obedient faith to prove,

[Psa 133:1] Behold, How Pleasant And How Good
Behold, how pleasant and how good
That we, one Lord confessing,
Together dwell in brotherhood,
Our unity expressing.

The seal of ordination,
That o’er his robes the sweetness shed
Of perfect consecration.Behold, how pleasant and how good
That we, one Lord confessing,
Together dwell in brotherhood,
Our unity expressing.
’Tis like the dew from Hermon fair
On Zion’s hill descending;
The Lord commands His blessing here
In life that is unending.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 133:1] How Beautiful The Sight
How beautiful the sight
Of brethren who agree
In friendship to unite,
And bonds of charity;
’Tis like the precious ointment, shed
O’er all his robes, from Aaron’s head.’Tis like the dews that fill
The cups of Hermon’s flowers;
Or Zion’s fruitful hill,
Bright with the drops of showers,
When mingling odors breathe around,
And glory rests on all the groundFor there the Lord commands
Blessings, a boundless store,
From His unsparing hands,
Yea, life forevermore;
Thrice happy they who meet above
To spend eternity in love!Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 133:1] How Good And Pleasant Is The Sight
How good and pleasant is the sight
When brethren make it their delight
To dwell in blest accord;
Such love is like anointing oil
That consecrates for holy toil
The servants of the Lord.Such love in peace and joy distils,
As o’er the slopes of Hermon’s hills
Refreshing dew descends;
The Lord commands His blessing there,
And they that walk in love shall share
In life that never ends.How good and pleasant is the sight
When brethren make it their delight
To dwell in blest accord;
The Lord commands His blessing there,
And they that walk in love shall share
In life that never ends.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 133:1] How Sweet, How Heavenly Is The Sight
How sweet, how heavenly is the sight,
When those that love the Lord
In one another’s peace delight,
And so fulfill His Word!When each can feel his brother’s sigh
And with him bear a part!
When sorrow flows from eye to eye,
And joy from heart to heart!When, free from envy, scorn, and pride,
Our wishes all above,
Each can his brother’s failings hide,
And show a brother’s love!When love, in one delightful stream,
Through every bosom flows,
When union sweet, and dear esteem,
In every action glows.Love is the golden chain that binds
The happy souls above;
And he’s an heir of Heaven who finds
His bosom glow with love.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 133:1] O Lord, How Joyful ’tis To See
O Lord, how joyful ’tis to see
The brethren join in love to Thee!
On Thee alone their heart relies
Their only strength Thy grace supplies.How sweet within Thy holy place
With one accord to sing Thy grace,
Besieging Thine attentive ear
With all the force of fervent prayer!O may we love the house of God,
Of peace and joy the blest abode;
O may no angry strife destroy
That sacred peace, that holy joy.The world without may rage, but we
Will only cling more close to Thee,
With hearts to Thee more wholly giv’n,
More weaned from earth, more fixed on Heav’n.Lord, shower upon us from above
The sacred gift of mutual love;
Each other’s wants may we supply,
And reign together in the sky.Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him, all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, angelic host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 133:1] Spirit Binds Us To Our Lord, The
The Spirit binds us to our Lord
But once in Him we find
Communion sweet, as oil outpoured,
With kindred hearts and minds.Beneath His yoke, our easy tie,
We count as common store
Our gifts and graces—rich supply
For him who needs them more.Such aid is giv’n to those who call
On Christ’s name anywhere:
Their outward need is borne by all,
As much as each can bear.But outward aid alone won’t fill
The storehouse of the saints,
For inward aid is better still
To Christian supplicants.We, by our Faith, are bound to meet
In worship of the Lord,
And flood our Father’s mercy seat
With prayers in one accord.May God’s own Spirit keep us ?til
We meet at heaven’s door
And gifts we shared below then will
Be changed for heav’nly store.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 134:1] Night’s Shadows Falling
Night’s shadows falling men to rest are calling;
Rest we, possessing heav’nly peace and blessing:
This we implore Thee, falling down before Thee,
Great King of Glory!O Savior, hear us! Son of God, be near us!
Thine angels send us; let Thy love attend us:
He nothing feareth, whom Thy presence cheereth,
Light his path cleareth.Be near, relieving all who now are grieving;
Thy visitation be our consolation:
O hear the sighing of the faint and dying;
Lord, hear our crying!Thou ever livest; endless life Thou givest;
Thou watch art keeping o’er Thy faithful sleeping;
In Thy clear shining they are now reclining,
All care resigning.O Lord of Glory, praise we and adore Thee—
Thee for us given, our true Rest from Heaven!
Rest, peace, and blessing, we are now possessing,
Thy Name confessing.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Psa 134:1] Ye That Obey Th’immortal King
Ye that obey th’immortal King,
Attend His holy place;
Bow to the glories of His power,
And bless His wondrous grace.Lift up your hands by morning light,
And send your souls on high;
Raise your admiring thoughts by night
Above the starry sky.The God of Zion cheers our hearts
With rays of quick’ning grace;
The God that spread the heav’ns abroad,
And rules the swelling seas.Play source: Cyberhymnal
