• [Psa 107:1] O Lord, Our Father, Thanks To Thee

  Lord, our Father, thanks to Thee In this new year we render, For every evil had to flee Before Thee, our Defender. Our life was nourished, we were fed With rich supplies of daily bread, And peace reigned in our borders. Lord Jesus Christ, our thanks to Thee In this new year we render; Thy reign hath kept Thy people free, Hath shown Thy mercies tender. Thou hast redeemed us with Thy blood, Thou art our Joy, our only Good, In life and death our Savior. Lord Holy Ghost, our thanks to Thee In this new year we render, For Thou hast led our eyes to see Thy truth in all its splendor And thus enkindled from above Within our hearts true faith and love And other Christian virtues. Our faithful God, we cry to Thee: Still bless us with Thy favor, Blot out all our iniquity, And hide our sins forever. Grant us a happy, good new year And, when the hour of death draws near, A peaceful, blest departure.

• [Psa 107:1] O Praise The Lord, For He Is Good

  O praise the Lord, for He is good, His mercies still endure; Thus let His ransomed testify, From all their foes secure. He has redeemed His captive saints From adversaries’ hands, Has gathered them and brought them back In peace from hostile lands. They wandered in the wilderness, By want and hunger pressed; In trouble when they cried to God, He saved their souls distressed. He made the way before them plain, Himself became their Guide; He brought them to a city strong Wherein they might abide. O praise the Lord, ye sons of men, For all His goodness shown; O praise Him for the wondrous works To you He has made known. The longing soul that turns to Him He fully satisfies; He fills with good each hungering one That for His mercy cries.

  Praise the Lord, for He is good, For His mercies ever sure From eternity have stood, To eternity endure. Let His ransomed people raise Songs to their Redeemer’s praise. From captivity released, From the south and from the north, From the west and from the east, In His love He brought them forth, Ransomed out of every land From the adversary’s hand. Wandering in the wilderness, Far they roamed the desert way, Found not settled dwelling place Where in peace secure to stay, Till with thirst and hunger pressed Courage sank within their breast. To Jehovah then they cried In their trouble, and He saved; He Himself became their Guide, Led them to the rest they craved By a pathway straight and sure, To a city strong, secure. Sons of men, awake to praise God the Lord who reigns above, Gracious in His works and ways, Wondrous in redeeming love; Let them all thank offerings bring, Celebrate His deeds and sing.

  Thank and Praise Jehovah’s Name; For His mercies, firm and sure, From eternity the same To eternity endure. Let the ransomed thus rejoice, Gathered out of every land, As the people of His choice, Plucked from the destroyer’s hand. Let the elders praise the Lord, Him let all the people praise, When they meet with one accord, In His courts on holy days.   Wondrous it seemeth to me Jesus so gracious should be, Mercy revealing, comforting, healing, Blessing a sinner like me. Refrain Is it not wonderful, is it not wonderful Jesus so gracious should be?   Come with rejoicing, come with delight, Nature in waking, glad and bright; Hearts overflowing gather today, Fill us with rapture, Lord we pray.
