Psalms 102:28

Context

102:28 The children of your servants will settle down here,

and their descendants 1  will live securely in your presence.” 2 

Psalms 104:25

which teems with innumerable swimming creatures, 4 

living things both small and large.

Psalms 120:4

Context

120:4 Here’s how! 5  With the sharp arrows of warriors,

with arrowheads forged over the hot coals. 6 

Psalms 132:14

Context

132:14 He said, 7  “This will be my resting place forever;

I will live here, for I have chosen it. 8

2 tn Heb “before you will be established.”

3 tn Heb “this [is] the sea, great and broad of hands [i.e., “sides” or “shores”].”

4 tn Heb “where [there are] swimming things, and without number.”

5 tn The words “here’s how” are supplied in the translation as a clarification. In v. 4 the psalmist answers the question he raises in v. 3.

6 tn Heb “with coals of the wood of the broom plant.” The wood of the broom plant was used to make charcoal, which in turn was used to fuel the fire used to forge the arrowheads.

7 tn The words “he said” are added in the translation to clarify that what follows are the Lord’s words.

8 tn Heb “for I desired it.”
