22:41 Then on the next morning Balak took Balaam, and brought him up to Bamoth Baal. 2  From there he saw the extent of the nation.

1 tn The construction uses the Piel infinitive כַּבֵּד (kabbed) to intensify the verb, which is the Piel imperfect/cohortative אֲכַבֶּדְךָ (’akhabbedkha). The great honor could have been wealth, prestige, or position.

2 sn The name Bamoth Baal means “the high places of Baal.”
