Numbers 11:24

11:24 So Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord. He then gathered seventy men of the elders of the people and had them stand around the tabernacle.

Numbers 11:33

11:33 But while the meat was still between their teeth, before they chewed it, 1  the anger of the Lord burned against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague.

Numbers 16:47

16:47 So Aaron did 2  as Moses commanded 3  and ran into the middle of the assembly, where the plague was just beginning among the people. So he placed incense on the coals and made atonement for the people.

Numbers 21:7

21:7 Then the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord that he would take away 4  the snakes from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

1 tn The verb is a prefixed conjugation, normally an imperfect tense. But coming after the adverb טֶּרֶם (terem) it is treated as a preterite.

2 tn Heb “took.”

3 tn Or “had spoken” (NASB); NRSV “had ordered.”

4 tn The verb is the Hiphil jussive with a vav (ו) consecutive from the verb סוּר (sur); after the imperative this form may be subordinated to become a purpose clause.
