Nehemiah 5:13

5:13 I also shook out my garment, 1  and I said, “In this way may God shake out from his house and his property every person who does not carry out 2  this matter. In this way may he be shaken out and emptied!” All the assembly replied, “So be it!” and they praised the LORD. Then the people did as they had promised. 3

8:16 So the people went out and brought these things 4  back and constructed temporary shelters for themselves, each on his roof and in his courtyard and in the courtyards of the temple 5  of God and in the plaza of the Water Gate and the plaza of the Ephraim Gate.

9:8 When you perceived that his heart was faithful toward you, you established a 6  covenant with him to give his descendants 7  the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites. You have fulfilled your promise, 8  for you are righteous.

10:29 hereby participate with their colleagues the town leaders 9  and enter into a curse and an oath 10  to adhere to 11  the law of God which was given through Moses the servant of God, and to obey 12  carefully all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, 13  along with his ordinances and his statutes.
