Nehemiah 2:3

Context

2:3 I replied to the king, “O king, live forever! Why would I not appear dejected when the city with the graves of my ancestors 1  lies desolate and its gates destroyed 2  by fire?”

Nehemiah 2:6

Context
2:6 Then the king, with his consort 3  sitting beside him, replied, “How long would your trip take, and when would you return?” Since the king was amenable to dispatching me, 4  I gave him a time.

Nehemiah 8:6

Context
8:6 Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people replied “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
