Nehemiah 1:9

1:9 But if you repent 1  and obey 2  my commandments and do them, then even if your dispersed people are in the most remote location, 3  I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen for my name to reside.’

Nehemiah 5:8

5:8 I said to them, “To the extent possible we have bought back our fellow Jews 4  who had been sold to the Gentiles. But now you yourselves want to sell your own countrymen, 5  so that we can then buy them back!” They were utterly silent, and could find nothing to say.

Nehemiah 6:6

6:6 Written in it were the following words:

“Among the nations it is rumored 6  (and Geshem 7  has substantiated 8  this) that you and the Jews have intentions of revolting, and for this reason you are building the wall. Furthermore, according to these rumors 9  you are going to become their king.

9:8 When you perceived that his heart was faithful toward you, you established a 10  covenant with him to give his descendants 11  the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites. You have fulfilled your promise, 12  for you are righteous.

10:34 “We – the priests, the Levites, and the people – have cast lots concerning the wood offerings, to bring them to the temple of our God according to our families 14  at the designated times year by year to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as is written in the law.

Nehemiah 13:22

13:22 Then I directed the Levites to purify themselves and come and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy.
