Matthew 18:29-30

18:29 Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him, 2  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’ 18:30 But he refused. Instead, he went out and threw him in prison until he repaid the debt.

Matthew 27:5

Context
27:5 So 3  Judas threw the silver coins into the temple and left. Then he went out and hanged himself.

1 tn Grk “they fell down on their faces.” BDAG 815 s.v. πίπτω 1.b.α.ב. has “fall down, throw oneself to the ground as a sign of devotion, before high-ranking persons or divine beings.”

2 tn Grk “begged him, saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant here in contemporary English and has not been translated.

3 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the implied result of the leaders’ response to Judas.
