5:41 Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

Mark 6:45

Context
Walking on Water

6:45 Immediately Jesus 1  made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.

Mark 10:48-49

Context
10:48 Many scolded 2  him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 10:49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So 3  they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”

1 tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

2 tn Or “rebuked.” The crowd’s view was that surely Jesus would not be bothered with someone as unimportant as a blind beggar.

3 tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the implied result of previous action(s) in the narrative.
