Mark 2:12

Context
2:12 And immediately the man 1  stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Mark 11:18

Context
11:18 The chief priests and the experts in the law 2  heard it and they considered how they could assassinate 3  him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed by his teaching.

Mark 12:17

Context
12:17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 4  And they were utterly amazed at him.

1 tn Grk “he”; the referent (the man who was healed) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

2 tn Or “The chief priests and the scribes.” See the note on the phrase “experts in the law” in 1:22.

3 tn Grk “how they could destroy him.”

4 sn Jesus’ answer to give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s was a both/and, not the questioners’ either/or. So he slipped out of their trap.
