Luke 10:7

10:7 Stay 1  in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you, 2  for the worker deserves his pay. 3  Do not move around from house to house.

Luke 13:8

13:8 But the worker 4  answered him, ‘Sir, leave it alone this year too, until I dig around it and put fertilizer 5  on it.

2 tn Grk “eating and drinking the things from them” (an idiom for what the people in the house provide the guests).

3 sn On the phrase the worker deserves his pay see 1 Tim 5:18 and 1 Cor 9:14.

4 tn Grk “he”; the referent (the worker who tended the vineyard) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
