1:10 “‘If his offering is from the flock for a burnt offering 1  – from the sheep or the goats – he must present a flawless male,

Leviticus 16:5

Context
16:5 He must also take 2  two male goats 3  from the congregation of the Israelites for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.

Leviticus 22:19

Context
22:19 if it is to be acceptable for your benefit 4  it must be a flawless male from the cattle, sheep, or goats.

1 tn Heb “And if from the flock is his offering, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering.” Here “flock” specifies the broad category, with “sheep or goats” giving specific examples.

2 tn Heb “And he shall take.”

3 tn Heb “he-goats of goats”; CEV “two goats, both of them males.”
