Joshua 9:24

Context
9:24 They said to Joshua, “It was carefully reported to your subjects 1  how the Lord your God commanded Moses his servant to assign you the whole land and to destroy all who live in the land from before you. Because of you we were terrified 2  we would lose our lives, so we did this thing.

Joshua 14:12

Context
14:12 Now, assign me this hill country which the Lord promised me at that time! No doubt you heard at that time that the Anakites live there in large, fortified cities. 3  But, assuming the Lord is with me, I will conquer 4  them, as the Lord promised.”

Joshua 17:15

17:15 Joshua replied to them, “Since you have so many people, 5  go up into the forest and clear out a place to live in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites, for the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you.”

Joshua 20:4

20:4 The one who committed manslaughter 6  should escape to one of these cities, stand at the entrance of the city gate, and present his case to the leaders of that city. 7  They should then bring him into the city, give him a place to stay, and let him live there. 8
