Context7:24 Then Joshua and all Israel took Achan, son of Zerah, along with the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, ox, donkey, sheep, tent, and all that belonged to him and brought them up to the Valley of Disaster. 1
Joshua 8:1
Context8:1 The Lord told Joshua, “Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! 2 Take the whole army with you and march against Ai! 3 See, I am handing over to you 4 the king of Ai, along with his people, city, and land.
Joshua 8:14
Context8:14 When the king of Ai saw Israel, he and his whole army quickly got up the next day and went out to fight Israel at the meeting place near the Arabah. 5 But he did not realize 6 men were hiding behind the city. 7
Joshua 8:29
Context8:29 He hung the king of Ai on a tree, leaving him exposed until evening. 8 At sunset Joshua ordered that his corpse be taken down from the tree. 9 They threw it down at the entrance of the city gate and erected over it a large pile of stones (it remains to this very day). 10

Context9:24 They said to Joshua, “It was carefully reported to your subjects 11 how the Lord your God commanded Moses his servant to assign you the whole land and to destroy all who live in the land from before you. Because of you we were terrified 12 we would lose our lives, so we did this thing.

Context13:21 It encompassed 13 all the cities of the plain and the whole realm of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon. Moses defeated him and the Midianite leaders Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba (they were subjects of Sihon and lived in his territory). 14

Context20:4 The one who committed manslaughter 15 should escape to one of these cities, stand at the entrance of the city gate, and present his case to the leaders of that city. 16 They should then bring him into the city, give him a place to stay, and let him live there. 17
Joshua 20:9
Context20:9 These were the cities of refuge 18 appointed for all the Israelites and for resident foreigners living among them. Anyone who accidentally killed someone could escape there and not be executed by 19 the avenger of blood, at least until his case was reviewed by the assembly. 20
Joshua 22:27
Context22:27 but as a reminder to us and you, 21 and to our descendants who follow us, that we will honor the Lord in his very presence 22 with burnt offerings, sacrifices, and tokens of peace. 23 Then in the future your descendants will not be able to say to our descendants, ‘You have no right to worship the Lord.’ 24
Joshua 22:29
Context22:29 Far be it from us to rebel against the Lord by turning back today from following after the Lord by building an altar for burnt offerings, sacrifices, and tokens of peace 25 aside from the altar of the Lord our God located in front of his dwelling place!” 26
