Joshua 7:22

Context

7:22 Joshua sent messengers who ran to the tent. The things were hidden right in his tent, with the silver underneath. 1

21:20 The rest of the Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted cities from the tribe of Ephraim.

1 tn Heb “Look, [it was] hidden in his tent, and the silver was beneath it.”

2 tn Heb “struck them down and killed them.”

3 tn Heb “the Great Sea,” the typical designation for the Mediterranean Sea.

4 tn Heb “this was the border of the sons of Judah round about, by their clans.”

5 tn Heb “sons”; “men” has been used in the translation because the context involves the conquest of cities; therefore, warriors (hence males) would be in view here.

6 tn Or “were determined.”
