Joshua 6:24

Context
6:24 But they burned 1  the city and all that was in it, except for the silver, gold, and bronze and iron items they put in the treasury of the Lord’s house. 2

Joshua 17:18

Context
17:18 The whole hill country 3  will be yours; though it is a forest, you can clear it and it will be entirely yours. 4  You can conquer the Canaanites, though they have chariots with iron-rimmed wheels and are strong.”

Joshua 22:8

Context
22:8 saying, “Take home 5  great wealth, a lot of cattle, 6  silver, gold, bronze, iron, and a lot of 7  clothing. Divide up the goods captured from your enemies with your brothers.”

1 tn The Hebrew text adds “with fire.”

2 tn Heb “the treasury of the house of the Lord.” Technically the Lord did not have a “house” yet, so perhaps this refers to the tabernacle using later terminology.

3 tn The Hebrew text has simply “the hill country,” which must here include the hill country of Ephraim and the forest regions mentioned in v. 15.

4 tn Heb “and its limits will be yours.”

5 tn Heb “return to your tents with.”

6 tn Heb “very many cattle.”

7 tn Heb “very much clothing.”
