Joshua 3:7

3:7 The Lord told Joshua, “This very day I will begin to honor you before all Israel 1  so they will know that I am with you just as I was with Moses.

24:1 Joshua assembled all the Israelite tribes at Shechem. He summoned Israel’s elders, rulers, judges, and leaders, and they appeared before God.

24:18 The Lord drove out from before us all the nations, including the Amorites who lived in the land. So we too will worship 16  the Lord, for he is our God!”

14 tn Heb “the Lord had given rest to Israel from their enemies all around.”

15 tn Heb “was old, coming into the days.” This expression, referring to advancing in years, also occurs in the following verse.
