24:3 but I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates¹ and brought him into² the entire land of Canaan. I made his descendants numerous; I gave him Isaac,

Joshua 24:14

Context

24:14 Now³ obey⁴ the Lord and worship⁵ him with integrity and loyalty. Put aside the gods your ancestors⁶ worshiped⁷ beyond the Euphrates⁸ and in Egypt and worship⁹ the Lord.

¹tn Heb “the river,” referring to the Euphrates. This has been specified in the translation for clarity.

³sn Joshua quotes the Lord’s words in vv. 2b-13 (note that the Lord speaks in the first person in these verses); in vv. 14-15 Joshua himself exhorts the people (note the third person references to the Lord).

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
