1:1 After Moses the Lord’s servant died, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant:

24:29 After all this 5  Joshua son of Nun, the Lord’s servant, died at the age of one hundred ten.

1 tn The Hebrew text adds, “on this same day.” This is somewhat redundant in English and has not been translated.

2 tn Heb “many days.”

3 tn Heb “the Lord had given rest to Israel from their enemies all around.”

4 tn Heb “was old, coming into the days.” This expression, referring to advancing in years, also occurs in the following verse.

5 tn Heb “after these things.”
