[Joh 15:4] Old Year Now Hath Passed Away, The
The old year now hath passed away;
We thank Thee, O our God, today
That Thou hast kept us through the year
When danger and distress were near.We pray Thee, O eternal Son,
Who with the Father reign’st as One,
To guard and rule Thy Christendom
Through all the ages yet to come.Take not Thy saving Word away,
Our souls’ true comfort, staff, and stay.
Abide with us and keep us free
From errors, following only Thee.Oh, help us to forsake all sin,
A new and holier course begin!
Mark not what once was done amiss;
A happier, better year be this,Wherein as Christians we may live
Or die in peace that Thou canst give,
To rise again when Thou shalt come
And enter Thine eternal home.There shall we thank Thee and adore
With all the angels evermore.
Lord Jesus Christ, increase our faith
To praise Thy Name through life and death.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Joh 15:5] I Am The Vine
“I am the Vine; My Father is the Gardener.
Each branch that bears no fruit, He cuts away;
While every branch that yields good fruit, He trims and cleans,
So that it will still more produce each day.
Now you are clean because of My Word’s work in you.
Remain in Me, and I’ll remain in you.
Just as a branch without the vine can bear no fruit,
So you must stay in Me if you would bear fruit too.“I am the Vine; if you, like branches, stay in Me
And I in you, you’ll bear much fruit in turn.
Apart from Me, you can accomplish naught for God;
You’re like a branch that withers and is burned.
But if you stay in Me and I in you each day,
Ask what you wish; it will be given you.
God will be glorified because you bear much fruit,
For thus you show yourselves to be disciples true.“Just as the Father loves Me, so I love you too.
Obey My Word, and you’ll stay in My care,
Just as I too obey My Father God above,
And in His love remain fore’er and e’er.
I’ve told you this so that My joy may be in you,
And that your own joy may now overflow.
Here’s My command: Love others just as I’ve loved you;
To die for friends—this is the greatest love you’ll know.“You are My friends if you do what I now command;
You’re not mere servants, knowing not My will.
I’ve called you friends, for everything I’ve learned from God,
I have made known, and now I tell you still.
You chose Me not, but I have chosen each of you,
To go and bear much fruit that will remain.
Then God will give you all you ask in My own Name.
Love one another; hear now My command again.”Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Joh 15:5] O Will Of God Beneath Our Life
O Will of God beneath our life,
The sea beneath the wave:
From Thee we rise in mystic strife,
In Thee we find our grave.O Truth of God beneath our faith,
The rock on which we rest:
Thy Mind is near, Thy Spirit saith
Our home is in Thy breast.O Love of God beneath our loves,
The fountain to the stream:
The river of Thy peace it moves,
Its tide our surest dream.O Life of God beneath our death,
The sun behind our gloom:
Thy Christ proclaims in every breath,
The world of fadeless bloom.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Joh 15:10] Abide, O Dearest Jesus
Abide, O dearest Jesus,
Among us with Thy grace,
That Satan may not harm us,
Nor we to sin give place.Abide, O dear Redeemer,
Among us with Thy Word,
And thus now and hereafter
True peace and joy afford.Abide with heav’nly brightness
Among us, precious Light;
Thy truth direct, and keep us
From error’s gloomy night.Abide with richest blessings
Among us, bounteous Lord;
Let us in grace and wisdom
Grow daily through Thy Word.Abide with Thy protection
Among us, Lord, our Strength,
Lest world and Satan fell us
And overcome at length.Abide, O faithful Savior,
Among us with Thy love;
Grant steadfastness, and help us
To reach our home above.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Joh 15:10] He Whispers His Love To Me
’Tis so sweet just to know that along the way
Jesus walks by my side all the livelong day,
And He knows when the shadows begin to low’r,
And He whispers His love to me o’er and o’er.Refrain
He whispers His love to me,
He whispers His love to me;
Lest I should stray from Him away,
He whispers His love to me.When He scatters the gifts from His boundless store,
And His showers of blessing around me pour,
Lest I humble and grateful forget to be,
Jesus whispers His wonderful love to me.Refrain
When my heart is so tempted and sorely tried,
It is then that I know He is by my side,
And I know He will give me the victory,
As He whispers His wonderful love to me.Refrain
O His voice is so wondrously sweet to me!
There’s no music on earth has such melody;
There’s no joy that can come to the human heart
Like the joy that His love ever doth impart.Refrain

[Joh 15:10] His Love Can Never Fail
I do not ask to see the way
My feet will have to tread;
But only that my soul may feed
Upon the living Bread.
’Tis better far that I should walk
By faith close to His side;
I may not know the way I go,
But oh, I know my Guide.Refrain
His love can never fail,
His love can never fail,
My soul is satisfied to know
His love can never fail.And if my feet would go astray,
They cannot, for I know
That Jesus guides my falt’ring steps,
As joyfully I go.
And tho’ I may not see His face,
My faith is strong and clear,
That in each hour of sore distress
My Savior will be near.Refrain
I will not fear, tho’ darkness come
Abroad o’er all the land,
If I may only feel the touch
Of His own loving hand.
And tho’ I tremble when I think
How weak I am, and frail,
My soul is satisfied to know
His love can never fail.Refrain

[Joh 15:10] In Heavenly Love Abiding
In heavenly love abiding, no change my heart shall fear.
And safe in such confiding, for nothing changes here.
The storm may roar without me, my heart may low be laid,
But God is round about me, and can I be dismayed?Wherever He may guide me, no want shall turn me back.
My Shepherd is beside me, and nothing can I lack.
His wisdom ever waking, His sight is never dim.
He knows the way He’s taking, and I will walk with Him.Green pastures are before me, which yet I have not seen.
Bright skies will soon be over me, where darkest clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure, my path to life is free.
My Savior has my treasure, and He will walk with me.Play source: Cyberhymnal
