Jeremiah 31:35
Context31:35 The Lord has made a promise to Israel.
He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day
and the moon and stars to give light by night.
He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll.
He promises it as the one who is known as the Lord who rules over all. 1
Jeremiah 32:8
Context32:8 Now it happened just as the Lord had said! My cousin Hanamel 2 came to me in the courtyard of the guardhouse. He said to me, ‘Buy my field which is at Anathoth in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin. Buy it for yourself since you are entitled as my closest relative to take possession of it for yourself.’ When this happened, I recognized that the Lord had indeed spoken to me.
Jeremiah 46:10
Context46:10 But that day belongs to the Lord God who rules over all. 3
It is the day when he will pay back his enemies. 4
His sword will devour them until its appetite is satisfied!
It will drink their blood until it is full! 5
For the Lord God who rules over all 6 will offer them up as a sacrifice
in the land of the north by the Euphrates River.
Jeremiah 49:2
Context49:2 Because you did that,
I, the Lord, affirm that 7 a time is coming
when I will make Rabbah, the capital city of Ammon,
hear the sound of the battle cry.
It will become a mound covered with ruins. 8
Its villages will be burned to the ground. 9
Then Israel will take back its land
from those who took their land from them.
I, the Lord, affirm it! 10
