Context18:28 No one came to the rescue because the city 2 was far from Sidon 3 and they had no dealings with anyone. 4 The city 5 was in a valley near Beth Rehob. The Danites 6 rebuilt the city and occupied it.
1 tc The translation assumes that the form in the Hebrew text (מֻצָּב, mutsav) is a corruption of an original מַצֵּבָה (matsevah, “pillar”). The reference is probably to a pagan object of worship (cf. LXX).
