6:30 The men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son, so we can execute him! 1  He pulled down the Baal altar and cut down the nearby Asherah pole.”

Judges 14:13

Context
14:13 But if you cannot solve it, 2  you will give me thirty linen robes and thirty sets of clothes.” They said to him, “Let us hear your riddle.” 3 

1 tn Heb “and let him die.” The jussive form with vav after the imperative is best translated as a purpose clause.

2 tn Heb “you are unable to tell me.”

3 tn Heb “Give your riddle so we can hear it.”
