Deceit, Assassination, and Deliverance

3:12 The Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight. 1  The Lord gave King Eglon of Moab control over Israel 2  because they had done evil in the Lord’s sight.

6:22 When Gideon realized 3  that it was the Lord’s messenger, he 4  said, “Oh no! 5  Master, Lord! 6  I have seen the Lord’s messenger face to face!”
