Deceit, Assassination, and Deliverance

3:12 The Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight. 1  The Lord gave King Eglon of Moab control over Israel 2  because they had done evil in the Lord’s sight.

Judges 6:21

6:21 The Lord’s messenger touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of his staff. 3  Fire flared up from the rock and consumed the meat and unleavened bread. The Lord’s messenger then disappeared. 4 

Judges 13:21

13:21 The Lord’s messenger did not appear again to Manoah and his wife. After all this happened Manoah realized that the visitor had been the Lord’s messenger. 5
