Judges 13:6

Context

13:6 The woman went and said to her husband, “A man sent from God 1  came to me! He looked like God’s angelic messenger – he was very awesome. 2  I did not ask him where he came from, and he did not tell me his name.

Judges 15:19

Context
15:19 So God split open the basin 3  at Lehi and water flowed out from it. When he took a drink, his strength 4  was restored and he revived. For this reason he named the spring 5  En Hakkore. 6  It remains in Lehi to this very day.

1 tn Heb “The man of God.”

2 tn Heb “His appearance was like the appearance of the messenger of God, very awesome.”

3 tn The word translated “basin” refers to a circular-shaped depression in the land’s surface.

4 tn Heb “spirit.”

5 tn Heb “named it”; the referent (the spring) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

6 sn The name En Hakkore means “Spring of the one who cries out.”
