Judges 12:2

12:2 Jephthah said to them, “My people and I were entangled in controversy with the Ammonites. 1  I asked for your help, but you did not deliver me from their power. 2

12:5 The Gileadites captured the fords of the Jordan River 3  opposite Ephraim. 4  Whenever an Ephraimite fugitive 5  said, “Let me cross over,” the men of Gilead asked 6  him, “Are you an Ephraimite?” If he said, “No,”

20:23 The Israelites went up and wept before the Lord until evening. They asked the Lord, “Should we 7  again march out to fight 8  the Benjaminites, our brothers?” 9  The Lord said, “Attack them!” 10

21:5 The Israelites asked, “Who from all the Israelite tribes has not assembled before the Lord?” They had made a solemn oath that whoever did not assemble before the Lord at Mizpah must certainly be executed. 11

21:8 So they asked, “Who from all the Israelite tribes did not assemble before the Lord at Mizpah?” Now it just so happened no one from Jabesh Gilead had come to the gathering. 12
